Doesn't rotate automatically after being built. I can only assume it's a mod incompatibility and not this mod, as it works as intended without any other mods. Gonna have to do some digging sadly...

*THIS IS A COMPLETE GUESS/SHOT IN THE DARK:*
If I had to guess, it's probably on the "Smooth Walls And Floors" end, as I believe the smooth walls you can build are separate entities from vanilla's smooth walls.

This message has been posted in both mods' comment sections so that either side can work on a fix.
CarlBagins 24 Mar @ 6:52pm
@Knight Read the description. Yes it does
Knight 23 Mar @ 5:46pm
Does it automatically rotate to the wall bc the rotate options arent working for me
Geisthander 19 Feb @ 10:34am
Does this only work if you forbid pawns from areas? Because all they seem to do is either ignore the window for the higher priority storage, or put it in the window and leave it there forever.

We can finally make McRimworlds a reality thank you
heretic 26 Jan @ 7:58am
GOATed. Finally able to set up a sensible freezer/butcher->kitchen->dining room flow. Thanks for your work
weregamer 17 Jan @ 7:32am
How is this different from "in-wall shelf", except it only comes in 1-tile size?
SiaNKs 14 Jan @ 1:49pm
This mod ADDS windows, right? Do they only work as "door" for items or also give Happy +1 mood to pawns because they can FINALLY see the grass outside?
SilkCircuit  [author] 12 Jan @ 10:13am
@SuicidalSodacan - Thanks for trying out Pass It Through The Window! The blueprint ghost or placement 'sprite' is working as intended. It uses the same mechanics as doors in RimWorld, which only change direction dynamically after being placed, not while displaying the ghost.
SuicidalSodacan 11 Jan @ 2:27pm
@Spitz the Sheikah, There is another mod I use that has similar functionality but with added refrigeration. RimFridge contains several freezer options, one of which is a wall freezer. Comes in 1 or 2 cell variants.

Works almost identically as this mod, except cooler. (pun intended)

@SilkCircuit, Still neat mod that is now part of my essential mod list (don't need to keep stone blocks cold)...though I also have an issue where the sprite doesn't orient to the walls. Vertical walls = horizontal sprite.
WhiskersAndCookie 4 Jan @ 8:52pm
@Spitz the Sheikah I agree
Lucius 4 Jan @ 5:21am
when placing the window as shown in the screenshot, the graphic continues to be horizontal instead of vertical as it should be :(
Spitz the Sheikah 3 Jan @ 2:39pm
can we get a high-tech version that is also refrigerated? Would be very useful when you want to build a cafeteria.
JerrBear888 2 Jan @ 3:42pm
@SilkCircuit
Beary Gud .. will test it out when i migrate to 1.5 thanks
Sims_doc 31 Dec, 2024 @ 7:31am
Just need a belt system for prisons.
SilkCircuit  [author] 28 Dec, 2024 @ 9:54pm
@JerrBear888 Pass It Through The Window is a thoughtfully crafted solution with dynamic alignment, temperature control, and robust functionality. InwallShelf (Continued) relies on a rigid static XML design, struggles with mod conflicts like LWM’s Deep Storage, and frequently crashes under complex setups—issues that reflect the limitations of a quick implementation rather than a polished, reliable mod.

@Corvus I’m unable to recreate the issue you’re experiencing. Try moving this up in your mod list or uninstalling other mods until you’re able to pinpoint the cause. I appreciate you flagging this; please let me know what you find.
JerrBear888 28 Dec, 2024 @ 7:26pm
whats the difference between this and "InwallShelf (Continued)" ?
functionally or code-wise?
Corvus 21 Dec, 2024 @ 10:45pm
I seem to be having a small issue where the pass-through window returns to the default orientation when loading a save
SilkCircuit  [author] 21 Dec, 2024 @ 8:46pm
@666 - I'll do my best here based on Google Translate: 不 (no), it does not affect room temperature.
666 21 Dec, 2024 @ 7:31pm
这会影响房间温度吗?
Smiley Face Killer 17 Dec, 2024 @ 11:09am
A sluice wall bit nice (that's how I'm going to picture it because then it makes more sense cost wise), good for a prisoner wall so you can feed em without interacting. Super nice with so many mods cause god knows who or what you have in there.

@Haxxor bunny
You might wanna just try it out. Some mods may just work without "needing" backwards compatibility. I highly doubt it honestly, but you never know. I'd just give it a quick test with just this mod enabled
Haxxor bunny 17 Dec, 2024 @ 8:34am
any chance for 1.4 version?
ColossalFossil 16 Dec, 2024 @ 8:00am
Worked like a charm. Thank you!
SilkCircuit  [author] 15 Dec, 2024 @ 9:33pm
@ColossalFossil - Good catch. Fixed now—appreciate the heads-up.
SIGMA CAT 13 Dec, 2024 @ 2:20pm
I feel like if you don't need a component I would use it.
ColossalFossil 8 Dec, 2024 @ 10:53am
Hi there. It looks like several Unity Dlls and the Rimworld Assembly have been included in the mod packaging. If you are using Dub's Performance Analyzer, you will see a startup error eluding to this.
Paradox_Player 7 Dec, 2024 @ 3:41pm
does it transfer temp?
LZIM 7 Dec, 2024 @ 12:11pm
Ferny being the man of the people as usual

Half expected a change to the mod that adds a gizmo when window is selected like the over wall vents to close a rolling shutter for temperature and security.

if only this game took itself seriously there would be an inwall garbage shute

inwall garbage storage, Wall, Auto Door, recessed wall fridge by 1 tile, Auto Door, Wall, inwall garbage storage

worker pawns can drop off food which reaches 2 adjacent rooms without going into them. pawns in their rented rooms can access the food without leaving their rooms. adding this window could help with other deliveries and garbage collection
ItsaCat 6 Dec, 2024 @ 10:05pm
can i shoot through the window?
TheSpookiestSkeleton 6 Dec, 2024 @ 6:42pm
Oh it is a shelf wall that renders like a door, clever
The Realest Nooblet 6 Dec, 2024 @ 5:17pm
400 Research Points to learn how to put a hole in the wall, wtf?
Pong 6 Dec, 2024 @ 4:18pm
Reduces filth tracked between rooms. I use a similar mod for barns and hospitals.
Raid: Shadow Legends 6 Dec, 2024 @ 12:48pm
Perfect for anyone striving to recreate a baltimore liquor store
deathmagicuser 5 Dec, 2024 @ 9:36pm
@John for when you want to keep slaves locked in a building with no doors but still want to be able to give them things and to collect the things they produce
John 5 Dec, 2024 @ 7:36pm
What's the application for this? It seems like an interesting mechanic, but I lack the imagination to use it for something cool right now. For anything I can think of, wall fridges just seem like the better option
ferny 5 Dec, 2024 @ 11:01am
Made some personal patches for this in Progression: Storage if anyone's interested. Should address some people's issues with the mod

Cool mod, but separate research with FOUR HUNDREDS SCIENCE POINTS is kinda bloaty, ngl. Would've been a lot better if you tied it to said smithing.
Pong 4 Dec, 2024 @ 10:37pm
Looks functionally same as Mlie's InwallShelf (Continued).
Pablo Discobar 4 Dec, 2024 @ 8:28pm
Well, well, well, what do we have here? I'd bet this is gonna be a fun add!
toniobc 4 Dec, 2024 @ 7:48pm
can you make it a circular hole
wwu0268 4 Dec, 2024 @ 6:32pm

Rose 4 Dec, 2024 @ 6:17pm
@LZIM You do know you can just use the wall fridge mod, right? Like, there's nothing in the description saying "By downloading this mod you permanently deny yourself the ability to use the wall fridges mod." Just use the wall fridges mod.
Millimeter Missile 4 Dec, 2024 @ 5:53pm
I can't wait for someone to make a mcdonald with this mod
LZIM 4 Dec, 2024 @ 5:03pm
wall fridge: am i a joke to you?
