The Kalinin 1989 is shooting SAMs through the superstructure from the point defense turrets. I've noticed it greatly increases defense from ASMs at close range

no plans given that i will never implement sealifter into my mods, meaning no completely new aircraft can be added at the moment, but i certainly want to implement R-27 and R-33 as soon as i can (which is not anytime soon)

as for SAMs, i tweak them every update, and in general hit rates are now closer to how i want them, which doesn't mean much given that many of the later ones can simply throw out an arbitrary number of interceptors

Do you have any plans to add long range air-to-air missiles (or capable aircraft) to Soviet naval fighters? Also, the ship's anti-aircraft missile hit rate seems to have decreased since the update, has anything changed?

just tested every sonobuoy for the red side, all of them are perfectly capable of detecting submerged targets

try making sure your buoys are on the same layer as the target, thermal layers can completely prevent detection to the other side of the layer, and US subs are very quiet and can blend in with higher sea states easily

these are very, very powerful radars with good jamming resistance, so you cant completely disable them via standoff jamming without very modern ECM

radars of the newly added ships (mainly the upgraded slava and kirov class) cannot be jammed at all or effectively with ea-6b or any other type of jamming. Is it supposed to be like that ?

1985 udaloy has kinzhal, but the first 3 or so dont have them at all, so make sure you actually pick an udaloy class from after the mid 80's
this also doesnt work in the encyclopedia, but does work in missions

also considering power creep of NATO from NTU maybe you could consider adding mig23mld it was something like bridge between mig29 and mig23 it had TWS able radar and bit stronger than standard tp23 its also had rwr from mig 29

For some reason despite the flavour text mentioning that "By 1989 or 1990, almost every ship of the class has operational Kinzhal SAM systems onboard", none of the Udaloy-class (1989) appear to have Kinzhal SAMs. Is that how its supposed to be?

yeah, these missiles are basically impossible to intercept without comprehensive combat systems like NTU or AEGIS

P-1000 is near impossible to intercept with any type of missile due to its jamming and speed + it doesnt care about my jammers

fixed udaloy variants but only for the base udaloy so far, other ones will get upgraded later

released a maintenance patch that should fix some of the problems people were having, still some unresolved issues though (like with the udaloy/sovremenny variants)

this mod may need update for the KA-27PL now that hardpoints are added, also seems to be messing with the Ivan-rogov landing ship as the hangar doors are see through.

udaloy shouldnt have kinzhal in the base game given it entered service in 1989, and all of the missions are before this (and the campaign is set in 1985)
