Later, I will explain to you why the ‘bug’ command can be used to debug bots. For now, just use the ‘bug’ command and follow the appropriate steps to debug the bots, and keep exploring.

In fact, it is very useful for creators of survivor bot mods, but most people are likely to think of it merely as a command to open a bug report. To be honest, I don’t want these commands to be buried; they should be known to creators.

@kurochama For the ‘bug’ command, once you try it, you will discover a whole new world, which means you no longer have to debug bots with just your naked eye, but will have more information at your disposal.

@ww , thanks for the info for the cvars. For "sb_rescue_vehicle_loading_range" I'm not sure if that cvar could help much in making bots hurry to go to rescue vehicle, but it's worth a try on my bot mods. as for "bug" command, I haven't tried it yet, as I usually used "Think" function to modify the survivor bots, so it's also a new command to me.

Additionally, you can use the “bug” command in the console to debug the SurvivorBots. Simply ignore the popup form that appears and click “Return to Game.” To stop debugging, enter “bug” again and cancel the form. This might help you.

In the console, there is a command called sb_rescue_vehicle_loading_range, which determines “How close to the arrival point of the rescue vehicle SurvivorBots try to get.” Its default value is 300. You can try gradually increasing or decreasing this value to test its effects.

@ww , actually L4D2 bots also run to the rescue, but there are times when they're bugged, especially in custom campaigns. It shouldn't be difficult to force bots to run to the rescue vehicle with a bot command, or "pull method" (the opposite of pushback, bots will be pulled like magnets). But each of them has a weakness, like, bot command will make bots focus only on running to the destination & ignoring anything including zombies. & the "pull method" has a weakness that sometimes bots can still get stuck as they're pulled to the player's location by ignoring bot navigation.

@TheTeaa , that shouldn't be difficult to make, though I'm not sure if people will like it. It's possible to increase health in fixed number per second, or in percentage of max health.

@Doc903 , "stay away from my crosshair" already has this feature. Try mode 3.

Maybe you could make a mod that gradually increases special infected health overtime and caps at a certain limit, so it could make survival with these fun mods more interesting!

I would like to be able to pick up objects without a grenade launcher in my hands and I would like it to be impossible to pick up objects of the "vehicle/cars" type

Well, actually it's also lots of fun to explore particle effects & make use of them just like that :steamhappy: . & I think there are still many other ways to use particle effects to make them look cool. I hope that other script modders would also explore particle effects to make some cool mods.

Hello, could you create a script with which you could simply pick up objects, for example, shopping carts or wooden/cardboard boxes? I would be happy to add such a script to my dedicated server
