this should be a vanilla game thing. Numerous times in history kids were drafted into war. Great mod!

Any possibility of you making a mod that allows kids to visit settlements if that's even possible.

A landless 4th son who found themselves having to serve in an army they might still outrank those under them (they would have been older but beggars can't be choosers.)

Agrarian cultures including the west up until the Industrial Revolution had children as young as 3-4 start planting seeds. During the Industrial Revolution you had children aged 6 being used to clean chimneys, clearing cotton gins and other machines (while they were still running.) One of my ancestors had an 8yo brother die from their arm being severed while clearing cotton from a machine - the things you learn when your mother delves into family history.

Love this mod, currently it's working find as a landless adventurer in ATE. My children will fight and die for the memory of America!

@Viktor Von Groyper Thanks for the feedback. This mod only adjusts the age for combatant, so some events might play out a little awkwardly. It shouldn't break anything, though. I'm also thinking about making a more in-depth squire system, kinda like in AGOT or other mods.

Update: One of my wards - my grandson - has the Varangian trait. I think the boys are getting events. His crush is a Greek boy. So the AI thinks he went to greece.

A mild bug. I am playing as Norse. Some of the boys are getting the Varangian trait. I think the AI is getting the event. I dont know if they are serving for real or just getting the trait.

That said. I much prefer this to the GoT squire thing.

is this compatible with agot The AI can fight as a child but the player themselves dont show up

@Dad needs a Beer, you are killing it my friend...a true blessing to the Modding comunity. Can't wait to see a Squire and possible Knighthood system. The AGOT mod has both already, maybe you can gleam some inspiration from their code. Keep up the great work!

not sure why this isnt a vanilla feature, in history countless of times their were child warriors. Love the mod brother!

Squire mechanics are sorely needed. Knights and landed nobles should be able to get someone to squire and build a relationship.

@PartyNearTheDoor This mod is very simple and you can easily tweak it. Open up the file and change the age to 14.

could you make the default 14, i use single combat and i don't think having 6 year olds with 0 prowess entering combat with the men is a good idea, i won't remember to allow them as knights when they come of age. but 14 appears to be a decent year to start since that's when they have at least 10 prowess generally

How do you think this functions on previous versions of CK3? I'm using a Pre Basileus (Scythe) build so i can play After The End Total Conversion.

수훈기사 모드랑 같이 쓰면 기사가문 키우기 용이하겠네요. 수훈기사의 아이 다 자라기 전에 이미 죽은 경우가 허다해서 아직 기사가문 못만들어봤는데 ㄹㅇ 감사합니다
