Even with my "power-ups" I'm at 5,0,7 and I think the Spartans are at 0,0,5 with they Gaians at 5,0,1 or soemthing. Given how the tech tree is, I'm shocked that LB's don't have at least a few Supremacy affinity points even if you'd expect the LB's to lean towards Purity.
So it could be *any* modded civ, but I got like 3 different iterations of Primogenitor ruins giving me a free affinity. Now I saw in the patch notes they have a mechanism to allow all factions to get those closer together but I think that mechanism is broke and I got them all.
And why is her AI so pointlessly aggressive?
I'm mildly freaked out.
It shouldn't be mine either, actually - the Believer's promotion uses Rejinaldo's old promotion and so the UI isn't affected (or at the very least, hasn't been in the multiple games I've played). I'm willing to guess the user is probably using another mod as well.
Luckily, though, you can achieve the same effect through a perk, using the OutsideFriendlyLandsMod function. You can look into Alien Strains' files to see how I automatically apply largely invisible perks to give units special abilities.
They don't get Affinity units, only 'regular' units. I'd like to be able to explain this in the UA text but unfortunately the Beyond Earth UI won't let me.
If that's not possible, then whatever: It's still a lot done to revive the feeling of the Original SMAC and it's been less than a month since the game was first released.
@Albie: Subscribed. It'll be a while before I'm free to sit down and play a game but I'll give you some feed back once I can.
Nope. The only possible issue I can see is that any mod that reuses Rejinaldo's promotion for any possible reason will end up with the Believer's promotion (I don't think any mod has actually done this though, to the best of my knowledge)
Also really loving this and can't wait to see the factions from Crossfire as well. Would it be possible to pick and chose between the two collections? Say I want to play University but want to go up against the Data Angels?
Also I feel some of these penalties are too high. Haven't played it though, so I wouldn't really know...
Also, I think you need to tweak Morgan Industries negative. While I sort of see it being a result of no safety, health and the like, it also doesn't marry up with their expansiveness inherent into their no-holds-barred capitalistic style. Not quite sure what can be done given BE screwed the pooch by mixing happiness with health.
Morgan Freeman, a cyborg zombie lady from some sci fi movie and what looks to be a north korean leader doesn't quite match up with who I remember leading in SMAC...
