How about adjusting bomber trigger bit closer to carrier to allow them more ambush-like style encounter? With heavy CAP already closing down on them, after FLASH transmission from CINCPAC, only 3 out of 30 was able to fire their payload, which never became a threat.
Also never encountered/detected hostile submarine for about 90 minutes playtime. It could be due to I just maneuvered CBG more southern course after launching air groups.
Maybe I will create a specifically 1980s version of the scenario at some point. But for now I want it to stay 1970s oriented as much as possible.
Is it possible to remove the planes that are in the air from the Carrier? When i loaded the mission, the carrier was still full of planes which means its very easy to get way more planes up in the sky then what you should really have.
If you wish to remove your own aircraft from the air it's easy enough to open the mission in the editor and remove them.
I wanted to highlight the Long Beach's defensive capabilities in this scenario and the best way to do that realistically is to distract the carrier with multiple tasks.
