I could do that but I'm not trying to make a crazy hard scenario here. This is intended to be a showcase of both Enterprise and Long Beach. I could make it harder, but I don't want to make this super inaccessable for folks. If I was to make it harder I'd like to make a different scenario just for that.

Thanks again for the quick updates. Just finished scenario again, and it worked flawlessly this time. Definitely enjoyable scenario, albeit bit easier than I first anticipated (probably due to difference in force disparity is too great between two belligerents.)

How about adjusting bomber trigger bit closer to carrier to allow them more ambush-like style encounter? With heavy CAP already closing down on them, after FLASH transmission from CINCPAC, only 3 out of 30 was able to fire their payload, which never became a threat.

Also never encountered/detected hostile submarine for about 90 minutes playtime. It could be due to I just maneuvered CBG more southern course after launching air groups.

Darn, I thought I'd fixed that. I'll address that ASAP. It was doing it for me too but I thought simply repasting the message would fix it.
Harbinger 7 Jan @ 11:41pm
Yes, trigger seems to be activating normally now. There seems to be formatting issue with message though. Flash message cuts out at FM/CINCPAC part, but perhaps this is due to my game is set in non-English (I manually copy and create language section for Workshop scenarioes for these message to pop up) Still,.Thanks for the quick update!

@Harbinger I combed through the trigger and have made some adjustments. Check and see if it works for you.
Many Miles Away  [author] 7 Jan @ 5:56pm
Perhaps, I'll make sure to check that. Thanks!
Harbinger 7 Jan @ 4:55pm
It seems like the trigger is setup to require all 30 bombers to enter the area (witch would never happen) and affect only 15 of them to be hostile Perhaps 'condition units' and 'action units' are reversed?
Many Miles Away  [author] 7 Jan @ 10:21am
Huh I'll check it tomorrow, the trigger area SHOULD be on land but if the bombers didn't fly through that then they won't flip. Maybe I have to make the area larger.
Harbinger 7 Jan @ 7:35am
Could you possibly check trigger coordinates for turning Chinese bombers to hostile? It never fired during my playthrough, so I checked in on editor and trigger condition location seems to be on land.

Well I finished school so I'll have more time. One of these days mayhaps.
jackdday07 29 Dec, 2024 @ 7:06pm
holy hell you live love your youtube hope you upload on this game if you ever upload again and great scenario.
Many Miles Away  [author] 29 Dec, 2024 @ 11:13am
@DEPSUBPACFLT Looked in the game files and it appears that there's only ONE version of the Enterprise currently in game. That said, its a late 70s and early 80s version of the Enterprise so for the time period it's not that big of a deal. F-14A's saw service in the last days of Vietnam for example.

Maybe I will create a specifically 1980s version of the scenario at some point. But for now I want it to stay 1970s oriented as much as possible.
Many Miles Away  [author] 29 Dec, 2024 @ 10:46am
@DEPSUBPACFLT Good idea. The scenario is intended to be the 1970s versions of the Long Beach and Enterprise but I could see how that would be confusing. I'll update it.
DEPSUBPACFLT 29 Dec, 2024 @ 2:06am
Think it would also be best to provide a timeframe upon which this attack (pretty vague to me) is taking place as some of us are using the NTU mod amongst others and the loadout and capabilities are very different. With the current version as is I believe we are using the '83 version and not the '72 version of Big E & Long Beach so we know what to expect (for feedback) and whether we need to use the mod (newbies in mind).
Many Miles Away  [author] 28 Dec, 2024 @ 8:11pm
Yeah I've realized this myself @Edmoot and @TheWitchKing. I'll update it tomorrow and drop the aircraft
TheWitchKing 27 Dec, 2024 @ 2:35am
Great Scenario. :)

Is it possible to remove the planes that are in the air from the Carrier? When i loaded the mission, the carrier was still full of planes which means its very easy to get way more planes up in the sky then what you should really have.
Edmoot 26 Dec, 2024 @ 6:25pm
Fair enough
Many Miles Away  [author] 25 Dec, 2024 @ 5:30am
@Edmoot I don't plan to. The point of the scenario is to force you to defend your battlegroup with limited resources while coordinating the strike at the same time.

If you wish to remove your own aircraft from the air it's easy enough to open the mission in the editor and remove them.

I wanted to highlight the Long Beach's defensive capabilities in this scenario and the best way to do that realistically is to distract the carrier with multiple tasks.
Edmoot 24 Dec, 2024 @ 7:42pm
Can you make this scenario without all the aircraft already airborne?
Snake Eater 23 Dec, 2024 @ 8:17pm
Holy crap, Many Miles on my Sea Power Workshop?
Many Miles Away  [author] 23 Dec, 2024 @ 6:58pm
@.Special & @DxMarovitch thank you both for your kind words! I'm glad those videos still bring joy to folks even though I don't play War Thunder anymore. I played for 10 years. Had my fun, and felt it was time to step away and do other things I enjoy.
DxMarovitch 23 Dec, 2024 @ 6:03pm
Thanks for making this! I miss your super unicorn reviews. Still considering buying the Super Hellcat to this day, and I don't even really play War Thunder anymore lmao
Nicholas77 23 Dec, 2024 @ 5:47pm
Pretty fun scenario to test out the new ships with.
Wenatchee Willie 23 Dec, 2024 @ 3:25pm
Thanks for designing this, and so quickly too. I'll make a post about it. /salutes
