@pyromine_niac Don't worry, I already made it compatible with Citizen5's Extended Dialogue scripts in mind.

You're right. I did forgot about that. Let me fix it up real quick.

I think you forgot to include a voice file.

Failed to load sound "vo\c2a5h\male\hgrunt05_lockitup01.wav", file probably missing from disk/repository

could you add this for the snipers in Citizen5's Extended Dialogue? they use the male voice lines by default

Ah okay, I didn't play Black Mesa for the first time until after 1.0 which explains why I didn't know about the unmasked voices

If you watched older playthroughs of Black Mesa without the Xen chapters, then you will notice that all marines, even without gasmasks, speak normally without the filter. It was changed in Black Mesa 1.0, where now, marines with gasmasks have a radio filter to it.
XRGM1267  [author] 31 Mar @ 5:52pm
Well, most dialogue should have phoneme lip-sync except for the Apprehension dialogue, as it is intended to have masked marines knock you out. But in-case a mod changes it to be unmasked, I decided to manually lip-sync the lines using Faceposer myself. You will have to modify some files to make it work though.

Interesting, I didn't expect the older versions to have the unfiltered versions of those lines.
Say, do you know if the unfiltered lines were even used in those older versions?
Probably not, right? They probably also don't have phonemes by default
XRGM1267  [author] 31 Mar @ 2:32pm
I got it from the older versions of Black Mesa. To access them, go to Properties and then go to the Beta tab and select the any version EXCEPT the 1.0 version and above to access the older version. That is how I was able to get the unfiltered lines from the game files.

Say, where did you get the scripted marine voicelines without the gasmask filter from? There are only the versions with the gasmask effect in the game files. Did you remove the gasmask filter with some program?

That's fine
XRGM1267  [author] 17 Mar @ 10:42pm
Honestly, though. I don't want to do it. Sorry.
Soldier (48-th unit) 17 Mar @ 8:41pm
take your time
XRGM1267  [author] 17 Mar @ 6:14pm
I don't have the time for it right now though.
Soldier (48-th unit) 16 Mar @ 10:21pm
True, even though they have people who created the original black mesa on their team.
I think you can contact Mikee on steam and ask him
XRGM1267  [author] 16 Mar @ 9:15pm
I do not expect it to be perfect, but at least close enough. Blue Shift is an example where the HECU radio filter is also not accurate to the original voice filters.
XRGM1267  [author] 16 Mar @ 9:10pm
I know. It's not accurate, but I tried my best. I could ask Michael Tsarouhas for the filter, but I don't know how.
Soldier (48-th unit) 16 Mar @ 3:02am
It still falls out of place because it doesn't sound like the original radio filter of gasmasked marines

THANK YOU for providing the Audacity macros! I spent a long time trying to replicate the radio filter and I couldn't. You saved me so much time

If you have any issues, just let me know.
XRGM1267  [author] 25 Dec, 2024 @ 4:31pm
Most of the time, it should be.
expert.cleaners12 25 Dec, 2024 @ 4:25pm
Is this compatible with the chapter overhaul maps?
XRGM1267  [author] 25 Dec, 2024 @ 2:40pm
Okay, I decided to add more filtered and unfiltered marine lines for archival and modding purposes. Have fun!
XRGM1267  [author] 25 Dec, 2024 @ 7:32am
Ah, I see. If you want to use this in your mod through, go ahead.
Vinnie 25 Dec, 2024 @ 7:30am
Hey, I want to mention, in regards to the filtered/unfiltered lines, that my mod doesn't allow for randomization for NPCs in those scripted scenes as I've made them all have set appearances.
