Update 2024?
CHALLENGER 18 May, 2021 @ 5:07am
Good looking. Pistons and stuff don't properly spawn in, so you get some floating objects and the main lift is detached.

@Sygramyr I had concidered automating this one but moved onto the large version instead. I kinda burnt out after that one and I figured if anyone wanted to automate it, they had a solid starting point :P

I also realised too late that seperate grids still dont work for blueprints, but not much is lost so I never bothered fixing it. :/

Two design considerations for your thought. 1: Have you thought of adding some of the new rotors to pistons and welders that can rotate in and out of the feild of work and allow for automated welding, or welding from a control station. I am guessing some more timers and sensors might be needed to get them in and out of the work more efficiently. 2: In order to tackle the work area issue have you considered separating the frame and being able to expand the diameter with pistons or even perhaps using the gears mod to expand along a track this is how I solved that issue with my design. I like the shape with the top and bottom missing it will look like something is missing. I tried that with the bottom out and having a welder assembly coming in and out of the work area like a printer/plotter head, im not sure if that makes sense or its something you will try but I would love to see your version of this updated.

Ok, Ill chime in here. First this is excelent, I had been working on my own shipyard for a very long while even had a welder assembly that moves along a track. When I stumbled upone your setup loved how similar it was to what I came up with after several versions. I presume the intention of all the internal connector is to allow for manual welding along the construction and freely available resources? In my own game I havent really added much to your design at this point it is a good balance for a group starting in a mulitplayer this would constitute a good base. Thanks for your contribution. I also am getting that multi-surface error btw.

Will do =)

@Sekmeth That should make it a lot more functional, and actually be able to handle large ships. The original design wasn’t terribly useful or practical, but I rolled with it anyways just because I liked the look and feel of it. Make sure you post some pics when your done ;)

Atm I am redoing it pretty much from scratch, keeping the same design and colours. Just adding some mod items, and leaving the bottom open, as well as extended it by 5 blocks wide. WIll post once I am happy with it =)

mods are?
0z1k  [author] 8 Jan, 2015 @ 6:46pm
@Sekmeth Pics man! :P I figured adding a bit of automation wouldn't be too hard, but I just never got around to ti.
[HARK] Mr. Viking 7 Jan, 2015 @ 10:01pm
I fixed it eventually, just ended up recreating the lift =) Damn pistons and merge blocks =D I also added some top welders for auto welding connected to two pistons also. I used the Twin Welders from here due to their extended range.
0z1k  [author] 7 Jan, 2015 @ 7:13pm
@Sekmeth Like one the "out end" of the piston where the lift should be? That should just be one of the Blast Door Sections here. Now that I think about it, I do remember the devs mentioning there were issues with using blueprints that contain multiple grids, but you seem to be the first to mention it. I may have to just re-upload it as a world file instead. :/

Hi. I have all the mods enabled that are listed here, but game still says its missing something. When I go into creative mode and paste it in it warns that some blocks are missing. And the main elevator is missing whatever the pistons are connected to =)

Otherwise very very cool design

@DR0N3X On it.
Niruoy-Shell 15 Nov, 2014 @ 3:08am
a mod is missing. and i think is a blastdoor T mod, cause m'y "landing" blastdoor isn't connect to the piston
captainrampage 14 Nov, 2014 @ 9:11am
Ah, very nice bit of work there.
Rhedd 13 Nov, 2014 @ 10:57pm
Lovely!

As always, wish it were a world instead of a blueprint, though.
THE kilroy 12 Nov, 2014 @ 5:03pm
Looks Prety. And I like the Lift. You should use some of the diagonal conveyors from this mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=336704528

Can you make the "Required Mods" linked to their sites? Help
0z1k  [author] 9 Nov, 2014 @ 1:26am
This thing is actually pretty small, so unless your making really big small ships, its not that great. Bigger one is in the works next.
