I also see similar errors from previous forum posts; after character death and creating a new character, the new character is caused to accelerate 2x the speed and can level up really fast, it seemed like it a 2x game speed is applied on the character, alone.

Also tested on a mod called "Cheat: Rebirth", a debug-like mod. It also causes the same error on the same instance stated above.

Hi, I'm using the mod in -debug mode and I want to remove the numbers that appear below the character. I tried modifying the code but had no success. I'd really appreciate it if you could help me. Thanks a lot!

Also chiming in for an option to make characters god/ghost mode when unplayed, if you can! I kinda love just having characters wandering about on base just for vibes.

Until an official option is added to this mod, I've just been using [B42]DebugMenu (QNWDebugMenuB421) to give unplayed characters Ghost Mode and No Thirst/Hunger/Fatigue. (You have to swap to them, enable these, then swap back to your main. The cheats stay on the party member, I found. Haven't tried it on B41 or with other debug menu mods.)

I also like using [B42] TTRP Poses to leave them in various idling poses (lounging/gathered in front the TV, conversing with one another, etc.) Just throwing these suggestions out there for others using this mod and wanting to breathe a little life into their party members.

Would love if there was a sandbox option for making the characters not currently controlled be fully invulnerable when not actively played. I understand the complexity programming-wise of how and why for everything that goes into this mod- and I absolutely love it!!
It's just disappointing to not be able to take a trip with 1 or 2 followers, as they will likely die before I can swap to them

This module has a bug. When a character dies and you click to create a new character, there is a high probability that the new character will cause the directional keys to lose control, and all actions will accelerate, but there will be no error message

@ayceeonethirty Unfortunately, it seems to be VERY picky about where you right click (at least for me). I usually try around their feet and just keep trying until their name pops up in the context menu.

I have no idea how to make them follow me. I have only this mod installed and it shows no option to do so when right clicking them or anything else on screen.

Can it be possible to have characters that are nearby to be invulnerable when not in control?

I don't see the point of having them "far away" to be safe, I can just switch characters with the native Zomboid functions for this purpose. Zomboid is a game that requires quick reactions to stay alive and the current AI cannot handle that. So please add a way for the NPC that is close but not in control to be safe.

@BlocksaverMax yeah Know Event Extended NPC is a huge conflict, since they are patching the game code in the same location.

@asunder if you go far enough away, everything is despawned, including the characters that arent in your control, so they are perfectly safe. The characters that are close enough to your currently controlled character are the most vulnerable, so you just need to be worried about those.

@asunder oh no the other party members are vulnerable while switched out?! Thats why i removed the npc mod i was using before. The ai kept getting the neighborhood buildings destroyed for little benefit in combat. I feel like non player party members should be made technically invulnerable but maybe one of the random events could be starting with a minor wound when switching to them, with a higher percentage to become grievous injury the longer you go without swapping to them - if this happened during a zombie encounter or one in the vicinity. Not sure if thats possible but seems like a good compromise.

Otherwise I'd just like to order my people to stay at base while Im out. Assuming the wait command works that way

So huge issue I encountered.

1. I am using: "[B42] Knox Event Expanded NPC mod [alpha v0.2.31]"
2. I am using: "Zombies are still people, in a way"

First; Knox Event Expanded NPC mod requires you to also copy the 'zombie' folder into your games contents, so I'm concerned that there's an incompatibility issue.
Mainly; I believe there's something suverely wrong with the mod, most likely a conflict. I can create new NPCs, and control the NPCs, but I can't access the NPCs on the NPC Overview Menu. (No NPCs appear). Additionally, the NPCs stand there and do nothing, and are ignored by hostiles. I cannot right click and get the NPCs to follow me either.

Do you think it is possible to make the other party members invincible (and maybe invisible) when you are not in control? Playing seriously is impossible, the AI is not good enough and you have to constantly babysit the other 'player' so the zombies don't creep up on them. Only option is to play without zombies.

@goongys That is unfortunate. There's nothing I can do about that... I would love to publish what I changed in that class, but I'm pretty sure that's against TOS to publish majority of their code publicly.

@luliela With no way to know how MP system is going to be in the future, I'm not really thrilled to make it MP compatible at the moment, as much as I want that to be a reality!

I've been looking for a mod like this for a long time. Thank you for making it! 42.8.1 update made the other characters invisible again and pasting the three files results in errors and a black screen. What needs to change in the three files that would make it work again for the new version?

This is such a game-changing mod, I'm really happy to see activity in the chat and interest to keep updating. I implore looking into MP capabilities in the future; it would be big for RP servers for DMs who play multiple NPCs. Looking forward to seeing more development.

@leScepter | so, this "non compatibility" is related with the not being able to see character bug patch. anyways, it is incompatible with the better vehicle physics mod. i'm sure either or would have to overwrite eachother for one to work because they both override the vanilla PZ zombie folder

also, would be cool if there was atleast an option for new members to either have some kind of immediate cost or require you to find a "survivor" cowering somewhere inorder to recruit them.
that way you can't just spawn a new party member and send them on a cost-free suicide mission.

Maybe there could be porta-potties or something that you come across, when you get near you hear a voice calling out for help, and when you open the door, that spawns a new party member?

Or maybe you need to find a walkie talkie item and when you use it, it "contacts" another survivor opening the creation menu and spawning them in a nearby unexplored building? maybe party members need to have a walkie talkie or some other communication device inorder to be considered a party member and if they lose that walkie talkie or it runs out of battery then you lose contact with that party member or maybe lose the ability to switch to your other party members?

is it possible to have the party leader transfer to party members instead of needing to create a new party leader? or is that something that can't be worked around? just kinda annoying needing to create a new character instead of just continuing with the characters I currently have.

It shows on my end, and I did also try to unsub and resub. Did you:
- Check the right library folder location, since you can have multiple library location on Steam
- Unsub and resub
- Launch the game so that the mod downloads

Somebody in the B42 thread pointed out that the mod shows up in Bannerlords workshop directory (261550) instead, so maybe try to look around if it's in any other games' appid folder. If this is the issue, then I have no idea how to fix it, cause it's on Valve's end.

heyyy, i think you have to update the mod, because its doesnt appear in the mod folder cause is for 42.4 and now is 42.6. Maybe im wrong but at leats its doesnt appear my mod in my folder 10860

@Peter Unfortunately, It is super hard coded for player 1 right now. You can definitely still use it as player 1 during splitscreen, but probably not for the other 3. I appreciate the offer tho :spiffo:

@BlackmonBald constructive criticism is definitely welcomed. With the being said, what you said is fair and it's a WIP rn. I'm in the middle of a lot of transition in life rn, so I can't do much besides patches for b42 to work, but I can assure you that AI is the feature I will deliver.

Can I just say, this is absolute genius to me. I haven't tested it yet, but I'm so excited to give this a go. It's rare af for me to comment, let alone before I've downloaded. But I'm so stoked dude.

I hope this works with splitscreen, been playing it with the Mrs. and she's excited to have a few different characters to run around as.

If you ever need any writing for any conversations or anything, I happen to be a linguist and writer. I cannot think of many people who could do better on proof-reading, and flavour text. Feel free to reach out should that ever take your fancy, but good luck with this regardless!

Not a negative on this mod but if you are looking to add combat survivors to your crew/team/party just no that these survivors have no combat ai and will just get munched on.

Is there a option to remove character? Because i can't see this kind of button or something and i can't kill them with weapons. Only way to get rid of them is a zombies.

Is there a list of combatible mods? I have a few that alter traits and characters (mainly the furry mod and related traits), and I am unsure of if they have an integration or not. Seeing as they don't list it I doubt it, but it would also be nice to see examples of compatible mods.
