@Gh_pe_Zona I am unable to reproduce the error you are getting. I assume you're getting an "Unable to load level" error? That usually happens when you are missing a required mod for a map. Double check that you are subscribed to all of the required items, and any requirements those mods may have. If you are already subscribed to the items, try unsubscribing and resubscribing to them as well.

If you're still getting the "Unable to load level" error after that: open the console as soon as the error message appears ('~' key by default) and let me know what the red error text says.

how to make this work ? I subscriebed and download the content but when i make the server to play it doesn t start ? Any help ?

The proper name of this level is "The Fortress of Torment". Visually, the map is awesome, its design is great. However, playing it on the Serious difficulty is a torment.

In regards to multiplayer, there's a problem with the `SKM_ChangeEyeModelTier` RPC you use. There is a problem in Fusion where if the hash of an RPC is not initialized on client when the host sends it, it'll kill networking RPCs for that client. Your map runs this RPC immediately on map start, before clients get a chance to initialize the RPC, which for any clients who haven't run the map previously that session, will cause this problem. I recommend having the host wait a bit to send this RPC just in general, and as well get in contact with NSKuber; Network Script Resources has a workaround for this issue, but it requires the RPCs to be manually added to a big list.

This has to be one of the best custom maps I've ever played for anything related to Serious Sam. The arena design and enemy placements really feel like a proper evolution of the original Serious Sam formula. This map certainly kicked my ass but it always felt fair. It feels like the design philosophies of modern shooters like Doom Eternal and Ultrakill were brought back to Serious Sam. At no point did it feel like there was meaningless enemy trickle or mindless padding. Every combat wave was followed up by a brand new wave of enemies that would require me to rethink my strategy. In my eyes, this is the gold standard for how to design a Serious Sam level for the modern age. Kudos to every involved in this incredible project.

Honestly one of the best maps on the workshop right now, and something that should be considered a high-quality reference for the future projects of other map makers. Really great job, I enjoyed it a lot!

@sir_kick_me2 I'm proud for our community that still delivers such bangers as this map, so thank you for creating such a great experience!

Lags are problem, sure, but compared to overall experience I (and I guess many others) will forgive you for this

By the way boss is great too! Those kind of attacks it have is attacks I wish Mordekai would have so it would feel the real final boss of this gym xD

I will come back in some time to do deathless run on challenge mode with half-ammo on Serious difficulty :D

You are right that some of the boss's attacks had a tendency to kill the frame-rate. Turns out, having a ton of particle effects all trying to needlessly calculate dynamic lighting has that kind of effect.... who'd have guessed? :eaglederp: I just put out an update that should fix those particle effects. I still do notice a frame dip when you have a bunch in front of you, but it should be nowhere near as bad now.

Now this is one of my favorite maps in SS: Fusion :D

I did common run on Serious with mod "Seriously Serious" which cuts max ammo in half, did Challenge mode with the same cut ammo and also I did deathless run in no-challenge mode.

I can write a lot about what I like, because it's literally everything to be honest. My only complaint is will be that when the boss spams attack that create some sort of electro paddle (???) on last phase then performance will drastically decrease: I have Ryzen 7 7585 and RTX 2050 so my FPS is stable on 150+ FPS but those electro paddles makes my FPS drop to 30 and below

Other than that, great work! 9.5/10 just for boss optimization

Sorry that you're still having troubles with the map crashing.
None of the file names being referenced in the errors/crash report seem to be from the map itself, but rather from other mods, so its a possibility that one of them must be conflicting with the map somehow.
If you can, please send me a list of the fusion mods you have enabled and I can check for myself.

In the meantime, you can try:
- Loading the map with ONLY the required mods enabled (plus any requirements those mods may have) (ingame, go to extras -> workshop packages to disable/enable mods).
- You can also see if unsubscribing/resubscribing from the mods helps.
- Attempt to verify the game files if you haven't already (right click the game on steam -> properties -> Installed files -> Verify integrity of game files).

Turns out when you made a quicksave while the boss's 'damaging plasma field' attack is on the ground, everything started taking its damage indiscriminately when you loaded that save lol. Should be fixed now. Thank you for informing me. :hoodedwarbler:

idk, from my side, when I load a mid-save during the boss fight, my health just get drained at sonic speed and I immediatly die. I thought it was a way to punish people that would try to save-scum the fight :lunar2020thinkingtiger:

Also, i was indeed thinking about the fact that Serious may have half the amount of ammo to compensate, but i was too stubborn to re-enable double ammo and Doom WADs already got me used to ammo starved challenges anyway, so I just continued like that to see if it was possible (and I'm definitly going to find out if Challenge Mode™ is also possible that way lol)

@timilyo80 In my maps, I purposefully account for the fact that Serious difficulty gives double ammo. Thus, I remove roughly half of the ammo pickups on Serious, meaning the only benefit is the double capacity, rather than double the total amount of ammo. This is likely why you ran into issues with ammo. Regardless, glad you enjoyed!

Also, uh... the boss isn't supposed to disallow saving in the middle of the battle. I will look into it and try to get a fix as soon as I can. :eaglederp:

I don't know if it's solely because I played it on Serious without double ammo, but the 1st half of the map left me with really not a lot of ammo, but I still managed to make it work regardless.
I'm not sure if I fully agree with the boss fight not allowing you to use mid-saves, because it limit players choices and it's a bit gate-keepy, but after a while, I was able to beat it, so whatever I guess.

My mods work but after you died first, then it won't as the crash will occur when it's trying to auto save.

@Serious_Samsung I am unable to reproduce the crash based on your information. Quick saves seem to be alright even after loading from a previous save. If you can, please let me know where the crash occurred and if it happens consistently. If its consistent, please let me know how you reproduce the crash.
Also if its consistent, you can try things like: checking if the issue occurs on other maps, verifying game file integrity, or disabling non-required mods.

Straight up one of the best maps which I've played and exists in the workshop. Nice fights, some definitely can get you on your toes on the first try but not unbalanced to say the least. Gimmicks are fun too and not annoying, unlike TSE. Overall, recommended! 9/10.

This was a fun time, played on serious in SP and was entertained by the different gimmick rooms and the secrets. I see you left incentive to replay the level, so I might check that out again later down the line. Great work dude
