Report a translation problem
Not a bug. Not really a feature either. More of a pleasant surprise. I didn't go out of my way to add any handling for WeaponCore. The mod doesn't even look for it. I just added that to the description because WC's default beahavior leaves an awful taste in my mouth. That being said, I'm not the kind of girl to hobble my code because of petty disagreements. So long as WeaponCore (and mods that use it) respect the world's infinite ammo setting, this mod *should* work with it.
The important code for this mod is literally one line calling the ModAPI to change a world bool. Because this mod depends only on internal keen code, this mod should ALWAYS work. If it breaks in vanilla, I'll fix it. If it breaks with WC enabled but works in vanilla, blame WC devs.

I could upload a "WeaponCore compatibility patch" to make the WCriers happy and it'd literally just be a one line comment about how gullible WC shills are. My (granted, very brief) testing with both WeaponCore and Vanilla+ seems to show that they both work with this mod, so... Unless someone shows me that it doesn't work, I got nothin'.
Btw, testing identical local worlds with the only difference being the WeaponCore vs Vanilla+ vs Vanilla combat mod setup, and WC's world is eating a whole .4-.6 sim speed more than Vanilla and Vanilla+. Do you likey to do the walky in the slow moty jelly???

From my experience testing with cheat batteries, Defense Shields does block damage until they collapse. Occasionally one or two blocks may slip through and disappear (the nukes aren't coded to use deformation because lag), but I can honestly write that off as shield bleedthrough. It's not like bleedthrough isn't already a feature anyway.

also if you turrets not working after installing vanilla weapon replacement turrets still not working you might have them set only fire at locked on target you need change the ai behavior in theit self turrets
i find a lot of ppl call wc dogsh|t. bc of user error when it not dogsh|t. after all if you have a nuclear missile form a mod like this

that just one example there a lot other mod i fond when just using Defense Shields the act like shield not there at all

Yes, there's a Star Trek WeaponCore mod. And because it uses WeaponCore, I don't use it. Do you SERIOUSLY not see how making me choose between [deleting weapons from all my grids] and [having no functioning turrets at all] is a terrible design choice? WeaponCore is dogsh|t. (Also, Defense Shields does not require WeaponCore. I use it without WeaponCore all the time and it works flawlessly. No WeaponCore dependency is listed on the workshop page, and to my knowledge, no WeaponCore dependency is mentioned in the description. Please stop spreading misinformation.)
also WeaponCore is sh|t?.... umm okay see how all weapon core dose now of day is make it so there energy and ballistic aka kinetic weapon weapon and anti missile defense i hardly call that sh|ty.
not to mention that with vanilla weapon mechanic i have set the all i have to do is tell all my weapon to fire at power block and you ship dead in the water in secs not mins.

Because WeaponCore is sh|t. I don't understand why people support it. It removes non-WC weapons from your grids and enabling "unsupported mode" leads to the turrets never firing. Vanilla+ is objectively superior for the simple reason that it doesn't do that asinine bullsh|t. I do not and will never support WeaponCore.
