thanks for leaving the CS files in an editable/understandable format, I changed the ctrl+shift+p depth to 25m because at 20m it still traps a watch officer and a crew member on the periscopes.

Great mod. Works great with vanilla. Thanks very much!!
Can't get it to work with UBE though for some reason unfortunately, even if I load it last.
web31 13 Jul @ 3:03am
web31 Just now
Implementing a "keep 5 m off sea floor" feature would be amazing. I have scraped the barnicals off the hull my uboat so many times it shines. I get it. Modding for free and getting nothing but complaints would burn out anybody. I want you to know that there are many of us who love your work. Thank you.

@kaster21
Most likely not before the end of this year.
The rest depends on whether 2025.2 revives my interest in (modding) this game.
Sorry!
kaster21 20 Jun @ 2:32pm
When are you going to implement the planned features?
Drexack  [author] 17 Apr @ 1:10pm
@Phase
I hadn't thought about that, that's a good idea. I'll put it on the list, though I'm currently not able to actively work on it, so it might take a while until I'll add that. Thank you for the suggestion.
Phase 17 Apr @ 10:33am
Is there or will there be a feature to do an emergency surface?
TangoHotelCharlie 22 Mar @ 6:20am
Ein absolutes Meisterwerk :honor:
Dufti 19 Mar @ 10:16am
Sehr gut:steamhappy:
Drexack  [author] 13 Mar @ 2:57am
Thank you Tofof. I personally never use that feature, so I didn't notice it wasn't working properly. I know it used to work, so it should be fixable. I'll see what I can do.
Tofof 12 Mar @ 6:29pm
Bug - center depth planes (ctrl + r + f by default) causes the skipper to unceasingly order a new depth. The depth is also 5m shallower than current depth, instead of current. This happens if I'm at a depth of 20m already, at least. I haven't tested exhaustively in other configurations.

@Royal Raven Sadly not. Maybe something I'll tackle once I've gotten into UI modding.

@LAntorcha Numpad keys sound like a good idea. I'm working on config sheet that allows you to change the keybinds easier, but I'm too busy to make it a priority right now.
Also, I believe DaX is refering to Voice Attack [voiceattack.com]. You can define macros and have them trigger by voice command, e.g. making it so saying "course 5 degrees port" maps to "CTRL + Left Arrow".
PapaOscar 25 Feb @ 2:07am
Cheers! Adding some of the most basic functionality to the game that should have been there at the start.
LAntorcha 24 Feb @ 11:22am
I tried to change KeyCode.LeftArrow etc, (albeit manually editig the PlayerShipUpdatePatch.cs file) with Num4, Num8, Num6, and Num2 for my own taste. I think it works great with the capslock toggle.

@DaX please can you explain more the Voice Commands thing?
Royal Raven 23 Feb @ 11:30am
Is there a way to see these new keyboard commands in game?
DaX 14 Feb @ 4:09am
Just wanted to come back and say that it's really cool you added more hotkey functions. I've been able to make over 100 voice commands now to command the sub and it's been a lot of fun.
goofyfoot 11 Feb @ 11:39am
Rog. Thought I was already losing my marbles there for a sec. lol
Thanks for creating this addon btw.
Drexack  [author] 7 Feb @ 11:59am
@goofyfoot That was first added on the 25th of January, so a little more than a week after this mod released.
So there's a good chance this change went past you if you were one of the early adopters . ;)
goofyfoot 7 Feb @ 9:46am
Did you just recently add the depth control or did I somehow manage to not even see that part when I subscribed to this mod? (Asking for a friend)
Alias 2 Feb @ 8:26pm
Super usefull ty Drexack!
Drexack  [author] 1 Feb @ 10:03am
@Kerberos No, only by directly going into the script. I think they're all in

[WhereEverYourSteamIs]\steamapps\workshop\content\494840\3408307272\Source\PlayerShipUpdatePatch.cs.

Look for KeyCode.[KEY] and change the [KEY] to whatever you prefer.

But you reminded me I wanted to include a keybind config file and just forgot. Oops. I'll try to remember to include one in the next update.
Kerberos 1 Feb @ 9:14am
Great mod but is it possible to change the keybinds with a Modconfig Tool?🙏🙏🙏
Drexack  [author] 31 Jan @ 2:50pm
@houghs Can you rephrase that? I'm not sure what you're asking.
If you're asking about the dive schedule: This mod currently doesn't touch that. I want to have an alternative dive schedule hat has the boat dive deeper than just periscope depth.
But until I figure out how to make that toggle-able instead overwriting the native dive schedule depth, that feature won't make it into this mod just yet.
houghs 31 Jan @ 2:35pm
Depth changes, under crew menu, can you sink with boat dive schedule. For that Need for air ?
Bart 'Nazibal' Smit 30 Jan @ 3:55am
Just checked again and crash dive working as normal! Ty for the mod, was really something the game needed!
Drexack  [author] 29 Jan @ 6:35am
Thank you for your input. That would complicate things, but it certainly would make sense.
In a way, it would already be dangerous when going too fast, since you'd risk crashing into the sea floor.
That feature is not a priority, so I haven't thought about the how a lot.
Subcomfreak 29 Jan @ 6:22am
If you do implement a keep off floor feature ensure that you order someone to use the echo-sounder to maintain how such a very close keeping would actually be. It is my opinion that doing such with high speed would be very, very risky or would essentially require someone to be on the sounder!
Drexack  [author] 28 Jan @ 5:32am
Crash diving (CTRL +c) shouldn't sound the alarm when you're already submerged.

I have also noticed that it sometimes also doesn't successfully do so even when initiated from the surface. I'll look into what causes this.

The depth shouldn't be different from what it was without the mod.
Bart 'Nazibal' Smit 28 Jan @ 5:05am
It looks like Crash diving no longer sounds the alarm and sets depth to 100 - 150m.
Drexack  [author] 26 Jan @ 11:28pm
Hey YuriVII. I do not, and if I had I wouldn't know how to patch it into the game. That's above my weight class when it comes to Unity.
YuriVII 26 Jan @ 6:31pm
so you have a contour map for depth?
CORMAC 26 Jan @ 1:24am
Thank you for adding changing depth! An excellent mod which should've been in the game from day one.
Ctbb. 25 Jan @ 10:02am
Man just thanks for fixing the Center key in no time awsome!!
Drexack  [author] 25 Jan @ 9:37am
I agree, but R/F are just close enough to left CTRL that you can use the left hand to use them.
I'll try to get the config out as soon as possible, so people can more easily change to their preferred layout.

In the meantime, you can change the keybinds yourself in
[WhereEverYourSteamIs]\steamapps\workshop\content\494840\3408307272\Source\PlayerShipUpdatePatch.cs

While I was stingy with comments, I think the code is still somewhat readable.
Ctbb. 25 Jan @ 8:47am
there's no rush right :)
Personally i think the key to open the compass is pretty useless, specealy whit your mod now.
And one can allways change it to a different key if whanted.
Drexack  [author] 25 Jan @ 7:55am
The preset lock bug is fixed. I did not change the hotkeys to T/G/B, since G opens the compass. The config file will also have to wait. Sorry!
Ctbb. 25 Jan @ 6:28am
wonderfull news cool.
Drexack  [author] 25 Jan @ 6:26am
I haven't looked into that. What I do know is that Engine Control allowed you to do that, and that there's active work being done on an update.
Ctbb. 25 Jan @ 6:21am
That would be perfekt great and thanks for this awsome work man!
Btw do you know how to change the speed i mean if you can make it possible to change 1 knot ore KM/h at the time.?
Drexack  [author] 25 Jan @ 6:11am
Wonderful idea, thank you. I'll probably do that next patch, hopefully in a couple of hours.
I think I'll also include a config file, so people can change the keybindings to their liking.
Ctbb. 25 Jan @ 6:03am
well why dont just have up down & center key commands
i would prefer cntr+T upp Contl+G Center contrl+B down
Drexack  [author] 25 Jan @ 5:08am
You mean a hotkey that centers the dive planes? I think that could be done. Thing is I'm running out of keys on the keyboard. :D
Ctbb. 25 Jan @ 4:58am
Wow thanks mate really cool and usefull:steamthumbsup:
just have one sugestion to have the diveplanes set to center.
houghs 25 Jan @ 4:34am
The small bug might be do to in NOISE DB, list shows seabed proximity. noise db is under boat bouyancy.
sleels 25 Jan @ 3:45am
Amazing update. I've been wanting this since release for macro customization. Thanks Drex yet again :)
Drexack  [author] 25 Jan @ 3:29am
Okay, habe den lästigen Käfer gefunden.

There's a bug I cant get around to fixing right now:
If one of the presets is active (surface, deck awash, persicope depth, crash dive, ...), my keyboard shortcuts will not overwrite that. So if you want to use them, make sure to not be in one of those preset modes. I can fix this, just not right this second.
Drexack  [author] 25 Jan @ 2:59am
Ha, das ist jetzt komisch. Denn jetzt habe ich genau das Problem, dass du eben beschrieben hast. Also irgendwo ist wohl noch der Wurm drin ...
Kaleu 25 Jan @ 2:45am
Funktioniert, Perfekt, Danke.
Kaleu 25 Jan @ 2:18am
Super, danke für deine Arbeit und Mühe.
