Viper's Proficiency Javelin Class

Having a bit of trouble with this one. When I attempt to promote a new soldier to this class, I can't select the Gauntlet, nor can I select a primary weapon in any capacity with this class. I do have your Weapons Cache, and I am running LWOTC's Bridge for your classes. This is a save file I started last month and haven't really played much, do I need to make a new game?

I understand the class is still being worked on, but I see the potential! I think the only critique I have so far is that the different rows of abilities are paired with the wrong tree name right now. Javelin is paired with the grenades, Ignition is paired with the rockets, and Demolition is paired with the flamethrower.

Not important to gameplay, but it caught my eye

I think I found the problem with the img, it's LW2 Primary Secondary mod the path for the icon it's wrong

I don't know how to upload icons or anything... If someone would do it I'd be happy to implement one! It functions 100% correctly though so its just a cosmetic issue

Hi Death Viper, i love the class, the minor thing i found it's the icon for the primary guantlet it doesnt apper, instead error icon img is listed, could be? thk for the work

Thats by design. They were meant to carry explosives only into combat. You can add weapons other weapons in the configs though

fair, if this would stay like this would it be possible to change to anything T-1 related, for example im trying to equip them with halo assault rifle but i cant but it has the same stat, like the whole option of guns unavailable even if its the base assult weapon

For now yes. They use primary gauntlet. Will be adding some new variants to my weapons cache in the near future!

An edit to my previous comment: The grenades added by the class (random per mission) are only thrown and cannot be launched. If I equip a normal grenade and a smoke grenade, those can be launched as normal.

Not sure how this would be fixed though unless you remove the random grenades and just give them a grenade pocket and perhaps a boost to the number brought, like +1 early on with maybe a perk choice later for it to be upgraded to +2.

I love this class! I can only think of one possible improvement. Giving them the grenade launch ability. Currently, if I equip a grenade launcher, it only launches the 1 grenade and all the rest are thrown with no option to launch them.

Working on some faction classes. 2 for each faction. Then gotta finish the Priest, Warden, Bruiser, Psi Trooper, Psi Mage, Engineer, and Beast Master... Then combine all my classes into the Viper Class Pack... THEN I can finish up the extra weapons! Followed up with an armor overhaul mod that will add in some new armors to the game for us to pick from!

Update 2: I started a new campaign and just got to mag weapons and wouldn't you know it, the tier 2 BR is there! No idea what happened, I didn't do anything differently, so I think your looking worked out. Thank you

side note: are we ever gonna see the brass knuckles for the heavy gunner? You've been pumping out so many other interesting mods I just wanted to check in on how that's going if at all lol.

Can't wait to try out the blood binder trio :D

Update: So i just got to T3 rifles, and got the third tier BR. However, I could not get the magnetic tier 2 version, no idea why tho. I purchased it before, but it just never popped up, and still isn't. I can see the tier 1 and 3 version on my javelin but not the tier 2, odd....

Upgrades when you upgrade your regular rifles. I dont have an actual 3d model for the tier 2 / 3 versions though so it will be the same model but bumped up stats

Maybe I'm missing something but, is there a way to build a better battle rifle for the javelin? I have no idea how it upgrades if at all lol. I just don't know what I need to get the BR up to the next level/what it scales with. Thanks!

I will add compatibility for some of the other classes to use it yes. They won't have any exclusive perks for the rocket launcher but it will be a great side weapon

FINAL UPDATE: Switched around the weapons again, sorry! After doing some playtesting it was clunky the way it was without an ACTUAL weapon to fire. So now it has a weapon and will primarily use the gauntlet / grenade launcher to splode the map.

Required mods are REQUIRED.
You only need to sub to the requirements listed here for everything to work.

Listed in the description. If you want to use the other lw2 classes pack, that has its own classes, use that instead. If not, then sub to this mods requirements and enjoy.

They are interchangeable. One is from favid and the other from deadput. Deadput is the refined latest and that is what i am using. So you can use whoever you want. Probably Deadput's.

But the author of [WOTC LW2] Classes Perk Pack says not to run [WOTC] Classes and Perks with their mod 'UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES', to be more precise, lol.

This class says it requires both [WOTC LW2] Classes Perk Pack AND [WOTC] Shadow Ops Perk Pack...

But Shadow Ops Perk Pack depends on [WOTC] Classes and Perks...

... the rub is that the very first picture in the [WOTC LW2] Classes Perk Pack explicitly [and humorously] states 'Do NOT' run both [WOTC LW2] Classes Perk Pack AND [WOTC] LW2 Classes and Perks together...

... soooooooooo....... what do? lol

UPDATE: GTS masteries now have a proper supply cost and rank requirement. No more freebies >:C

Switched the primary weapon to a "Primary Gauntlet" as the primary grenade launchers had wonky animations and were aesthetically displeasing for myself and my friends. Due not the new requirement of LW2 Primary Secondaries.

This class is officially DONE and being ported to the Viper Class Pack (coming soon!)

turns out Disposable Rocket Launchers replaces the Gauntlet Slot,when it should be replacing the third slot,meant for rocket launchers.

3 medic type classes yes. A psi priest, medical sniper, and combat medic. All in the same style :)

That sounds like a lot. Try to pace yourself. There's a fair amount of Proficiency Sparks as part of Project Laser + Lazor you could probably find some interesting ways to use Sparks going off of those as ideas. Creating new skills/ability to my limited understanding of the modding scene (mostly just handle my own configs/overrides when needed) is quite a task. For the life of me can't remember the name of it but there were a few mods that added AWC perks/skills that aren't really used by anything outside of just "You got it randomly with a roll" sorta stuff. If I remember correctly there were a fair few elemental related skills in there that could become some interesting mage/psi classes. If you are interested I can try to hunt it down haha
