Yeah this mod would be perfect if it didn't feel like it hampered the AI terribly.

Also Artillery doesn't seem to do much damage. -- Maybe that is intentional...... Just figured I'd check.

What the two prior commenters said. In addition, the tanks doesn't seem to understand plans. I create a plan and tell to to just attack whatever they see.. They won't move.

I had a issue with losing the ability to take over towns, I believe it was a conflict between Chronicles two mods Forgotten Tech and one other one... I forget the name.. not sure how to resolve it

Start a new game with the mod enabled and the following settings:
- set available points to 0 (this will force the AI to build units according to its preference)
- toggle aggressive AI flag on (prioritize land battles over nukes)

Best to play with a faction where land invasion is realistic. (like east asia)

Observe as armored divisions are being sent to your citites, without any effect. (and without triggering a war)

Yes send the info over please. Currently, it’s a bit of a challenge to get the AI to utilize new units appropriately, but we definitely want the core gameplay to remain alongside the new units.

I like the idea very much, but in its current for, the mod breaks the gameplay. AI is massing armored divisions into my cities (try running the game with 'aggressive AI' mode set which prioritizes land invasions over nukes, see game settings) that does nothing. We are not even in war when units cross the border.

Yes, I’ll have to run a game to test that specifically. I haven’t had that happen yet so I’ll fix asap if needed so it can be corrected before next update here soon.

it seems like the AI tries to capture cities with armor divisions instead of infantry. can this be fixed?

Yes the AI uses however only to the level the scrips allow.

The next update is going to really simplify the mod. Infantry are getting removed completely and replaced with IFVs only as Mechanized Infantry. Artillery needed major adjusting. No more faction specific but there will be different models for progression now. Will also be splitting the mod into different mods based on feedback for those that may want only certain pieces of the mod.

Love the idea, but artillery seem really weird and not that effective? Counter opposite to the infantry which I just plug walked into the frontline, they soak arguably more than the tanks do even unentrenched.

Actually working with combat on the update as he’s playing a hand on condescending the size of the mod.
We feel it makes sense to divide the mod into separate mods so yes, you’ll have the option to return to the default AI. But it may be at the cost of reverting back to all the old SFX. Do you care for the current SFX? Or just want the AI to default.

Does this mod have a dependency that I may be missing? Every time I try to activate it in my mod load order my game freezes, no errors (windows or ICBM), no "this program is not responding," but my cursor won't move and the game refuses to even accept an alt-F4.

Also, next update as of now is set to give the 3 units more meaning. Infantry will be the ONLY occupational unit as this makes the most sense. They will not auto switch to IFVs as this will now be a separate unit all together and be the only way for infantry to be transported. Armored will have zero occupation ability and will be used specifically for offense and invasion. This as well as balancing will be what’s to come. The AI unfortunately is not advanced enough to use the new transportation method yet but the devs did state that it’s in the works. So rest assured, when possible, it will be added as well. Will start focusing on the new models after this so we can start seeing some WW2 models leading up to what is currently shown.

i know that the reference from chronics for army divisions would have to be changed but that's all i know

Yes AI uses. Not perfect but working on it. A big update is coming out that changes some major aspects of how each unit work. So just be mindful not to get too comfortable with the current version.

In terms of units repeatedly moving back and forth, it may have something to do with the range of each "missile" used. I saw in another mod's documentation that the two differing ranges could cause this issue.

Haven’t had that come up yet with the artillery but the next update is going to have big adjustments on them based on feedback as well as more differentiation on the 3 units. Will look into

maybe im stupid but i feel like the arty isnt really doing anything for me when i tell them to attack an enemy unit, they just move back and forth
