There is an assembly in there too, so it may or may not have the same entry point as 1.5. Just have to try it and see if it borks.

Eventually this mod will be affect for 1.6 (hopefully, if you don't feel like updating the mod constantly to preserve your mental health, don't fret we will understand)
My question is will unique weapons be updated?

Out of curiosity, is this mod usable alongside Alpha memes? As in both mods alter vanilla styles, will it cause one to override the other?

@Neitronus No plans for VE weapons since I don't use them. Most of them have a theme already anyways, like frontier weapons, energy weapons, etc.

@Нелюдь I wish I could do armor and I have some unpublished styled headgear, but doing armor is lot more work than weapons because body armor needs to be done for all body types, and probably dont have time for that

didnt do charge weapons or bows because I couldnt imagine a charge weapon with a morbid-vampire like flavor, or a totemic style, etc, because I think they just don't naturally exist in the world of forms, so to speak. Charge rifles intrinsically have its own sort of style that is counter to conjunction with another style. Same for bows. You could say that people have done exactly what I said is impossible, but I have seen them and they look silly, because they are unnatural and forced. Forcing "Snow" to have the adjective "Hot", as it were.

Your mod is awesome, even the Vanilla expanded team didn’t do it, can you do the same retextures for the armor (luxurious armor which in vanilla cannot be changed by ideology)? And why didn’t you decide to make a retexture for charge weapons?

yeah, determined by main style of crafter. I think you can change the style with some other mod. I heard "craft with color" works to change style on crafted.

Is the style determined by the main style of the crafter? And if so, is there anyway to change the style? I run a multi-ideology colony, but 95% of my crafting is done by one ideology (since they have the Production specialist), so that would mean I only get one or two styles.

I was on the fence about this mod bc I feared it would clash with VIE (which also revamps vanilla styles), but given it only touches guns and swords (at least from the looks of it), I actually think its pretty cool! I hope the two mods can coexist with each other going forward

oh I am so so sorry, I just realised the misunderstanding! I did not know the base game doesn't have styles for weapons. This entire time I was thinking about the weapons styles from the mod Alpha Memes. That's my bad, thank you for responding so quickly and trying to work this out with me :cocochan2:

I think there is a mod that lets you craft whatever style you want, "Craft with Color?". Sounds like what you're looking for. I havent used it myself though

If I want to have the techist weapons, I can't have the vanilla ones, since your mod's textures replace the vanilla textures for the techist style. But I just realised it's probably not possible to separate them anyway, since there are so many styles. Sorry for wasting your time!

oh I see, do you mean that if you use this mod and give your colony's ideoreligion techist style, you won't be able to build the vanilla techist table and the hex-floor and only the techist guns of this mod? This mod doesn't actually replace the vanilla techist style, or any of the vanilla techist textures. It just adds on to the vanilla techist style.

do you mean the "standard" in the preview pictures? They are just for comparison. The mod doesn't replace the no-style textures for weapons.

This mod replaces the vanilla textures, so I was wondering if it's possible to have a version that doesn't replace the vanilla ones but rather adds it's own new style. So you can use the vanilla look if you want to along with the ones from this mod

I absolutely love all of these designs! Must have taken a very long time to pull this off. I personally like some of the vanilla styles however, so is there any chance we could have these be their own standalone styles to go along with the vanilla ones? If that isn't too much of a hassle to do of course!

Congratulations, youve just completely shaved off Vanilla Expanded ideologies from my modlist (only ever needed it for authoritarian wood furniture)

Might I also recommend, that you recommend Craft with Color? Its another mod that lets you choose colors for crafts as well as styles and it worked with modded ones too no patch required.
