Theres an option for you to create your own 'custom' npc in the faction creation tab. Includes spawnflag field, in which i hope would work if you try to add it
players aren't assigned one, and are instead granted one based on their actions.
shoot a combine soldier? you're a rebel.
shoot a rebel? the combine like you now.
meanwhile, zombies and antlions will always attack no matter what. however, i'd like to make the bug bait actually work and be something players can earn.
according to the developer commentary, the bugbait is an entirely scripted entity however so this might not work at all.
I only had a mindset of it being single player and i cannot have testing with multiplayer. Also doing individual notoriety would cause performance issue imo same problem as having different factions active at the same time.... Also I dont feel like adding contents for this mod anymore
when one player harms a metro cop, all of the combine attack all of the players, which i hate.
i want them to specifically target the players who attack the combine, because then someone could just keep stirring the pot for fun and make the entire server a warzone all the time.
i want that conflict to be dynamic.
Check the config there should be a notoriety multiplier
Ahh i think it is the 'clear notoriety if the tagged npcs die' option, its possibly ticked on
Good question actually! Unfortunately I didn't add a way to control this, since I intended that the "notoriety gain multiplier" would be the one doing the adjusting instead.
I might plan to keep it like this to keep the order of stars from showing properly and keeping the mod stable
This mod makes them ally to each other, as they are in the same faction. making them fight each other isn't really the goal of the mod since the goal is to elminate/arrest the wanted criminal
1. menus and such just kinda need an update, it's almost too annoying to make custom factions if the menus were just a tad more convenient life would be better
2. easy modifiers for npcs, example combine elite have 70 hp normally, but i could set the ones that spawn on 5 stars to have 200 hp and increased dmg for example, easy artificial difficulty without adding mods that add weird or op npcs that aren't fun to fight
3. an boss selector, aka a hidden like 6th star or something were at full wanted a boss can spawn, they act like an vip but with an hp bar (with a name of your choosing) and could say end your wanted level if it's turned on. or the boss is worth X amount of vip kills or something (and include a way to give the boss music)
Other than those things that i personally would want the mod is fun as hell and i'm glad it exists

Nope no music feature, because I thought most people would be using the Nombat workshop mod most of the time.
First i'm going to say this mod is super fun and i like being able to make my own custom factions maybe even custom npcs? not sure haven't looked too far into that area.
though did want to ask, for the included factions there is usually music that goes on with it, is there a way to set what music to play for my custom factions am i blind? or is that not possible as of now?
