The accessory that prevents you from killing criters and destroying envirnoment also stops boppers from sticking.

Why does a "Legendary" prefix on a Battlerod corrupt my save if its in my inventory during saving? I tested it multiple times it breaks only if the rod is in my inventory and is legendary.

on my side i can use the shield of cthulhu dash without any problems.

But yeah it was already an awesome mod before , and its even better now , i realy like the tension feature , also the tension damage only on boss as setting , its more fun to just hook on boss and doing nothing than avoid the boss IMO

Look like vanilla alternate bobbers (thing giving +10 fishing power) force the rod to send 1 bobber only

Dunno if it's intentional or not, but if the Guide to Environmental Preservation is in your inventory and set to active, the rods lose the ability to hook onto enemies until you set the GoEP to inactive or take it out of your inventory
Learned this after buying it from the Dryad so the rods would stop breaking plants and such while I'm fishing and fighting, as they have a damaging swing in front of them whenever they're cast (for some reason)
Other than that, super glad to play with an updated version of the mod, loved messing around with the og version years back

The bobber ticks all the time and sometimes ennemies get launched in the air
The issue come probably from their end tho.

noticed a bug where when your rods in hand, the Shield of Cthulhu doesn't work right. when trying to dash, your character just stops completely then dashes, causing hits and its just kinda annoying to deal with.

I'm having an issue where, regardless of the "stick" setting, my bobbers aren't latching to enemies, and therefore, the battle rods are just functioning as fancy modded fishing rods

@Demo The Goat Take out Wrath of Gods and you should be able to use it I ran into the same problem and that seemed to be the mod for some reason

Since I am unable to find any information on it, crafting the Morally Wrong BattleRod seems to be impossible. There is no crafting requirement along side the recipe and no information on what station to use to craft it. Is this a bug or where do you find this information?

i dont know why but my line instantly breaks when i try to hook an enemy, but works well with critters, the only mods that im using are the calamity ones (WrathOfGods, Infernum), and im playin multiplayer with a friend, the rare thing was, when playin single player the mod was working fine, but in multiplayer that weird bug starts to happen

any help please?

@Kahmi While we did start work on a wiki before the release, we unfortunately do not have the time right now to make one with all the features. We will, however post some information on the basic concepts of the new batlerods on the "discussions" tab here.

If someone with wiki knowledge wants to create one for Battlerods, please come in contact with us so we can provide the data needed for filling it up.

Hey, was wondering if anyone was planning on working on a wiki for this mod? Or if there is an alternative way to figure out information about the mod? I know typically people like to play along with a info resource like myself. Thank you in advance, I plan on playing the mod soon. This is one of the best!

There's a really annoying bug when reforging battle rods.
If I roll any of the best modifiers, reforging again requires a ludicrous amount of money (like 40 plat), super annoying when my rod gets stuck on one bobber without discardables.

@Chonken The mod was tested with many other mods, it doesn't break them.

Whether it outclasses any weapons I can't tell you for sure A we mostly tested the regular scaling up to Moonlord with vanilla weapons (usually Ranged or Magic), afterwards balance is relative right now.

You can beat all Calamity Bosses just with Battlerods as is... but the post Moonlord balances don't have much vanilla context to test with as you can imagine.

Most post Moonlord is different per mod, compare Calamity to Thorium to Homeward Journey, etc...

It doesn't feel under-powered I can assure you of that much.

Will the mod break if i try to use it with calamity, I know you said that it isn't cross-mod yet but what would happen? would it just be outclassed by regular Post-Moon lord calamity weapons (examples: Subsuming Vortex, Murasama, etc):steamhappy:

Cross mod compatibility (with new rods and ammos) is planned for the future, just not the near future. Thorium and Calamity cross-mod is planned from the get go, as well as a Fargo's Soul for this mod, containing the base battlerod armor effects and a damage-based Soul of the Fisherman.

However, as I said, that is in the future. For the time being, we're in "maintenance mode", fixing any bugs you might encounter, and balancing anything that's still too out there.

It's been a long year with this release, so we are currently resting and working on something else for a change.

We do have plans to extend the base mod as well, like an extra armor at least where it's missing it, but that will take a while.

Hey, maybe you can convince the author of that old Calamity battle rods addon that hasn't worked in forever to let you take over that project. Would be really cool to have rods with Calamity-themed effects.
