Delta Force is well balanced against vanilla enemies even with the upgrades. My favorite enemy mod in early access was Nowherehaki Ground Forces. I haven't used it since release, but I know the author has been constantly updating it. Give it a try!

Hi, in the last comment you mention "stronger enemy mods". Could you recommend the ones you use to balance against the units from the Ares mod, and your upgraded Delta Force. Thanks :)

That's intentional. 75th Rangers and Green Berets feel super strong even without the upgrades, more balanced vs stronger enemy mods. Delta Force feels more balanced vs vanilla enemies, and felt way weaker than upgraded vanilla rangers.

Thanks for the mod! One thing I noticed is that the individual unit upgrades work for the SFOD-D unit but not the other two. It doesn't allow for battle honors. I am not sure if that is intentional or a bug.

1: look at the XML files of the mod, it's quite easy to figure out how the medkits are bound to the troops. I don't know it from the top of my head and I'm not near the PC to look it up.
2: no, I play them less and haven't noticed anything missing. And I wouldn't add unit upgrades to them because they already feel very strong compared to vanilla units, while Delta felt a bit weaker without them.

Love the tweaks. I can't believe I've been playing without this mod. I have two questions:

1.) How could I make it to where every member has an IFAK, like they do IRL?
2.) Do you plan on extending your tweaks to the other teams like CTAC or ODA?

No idea mate, but it's working for me and everyone else, so it sounds like a problem on your end. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And I'm not planning to add a doctrine tree, that's a thing the actual mod devs are working on.

Not from me mate, since I wouldn't use it anyways. I prefer higher mobility to avoid getting hit in the first place over more side armor. 😉 But editing the XML files ain't too complicated, you could give it a try

Ok so I checked it. In Project ARES, only the medic has the IFAK and he has it eqipped by default, so there's no need to access the extra gear menu that the camo selector adds. For my edit it's necessary though if you wanna give it to the assaulters, so I've added camo selector as a dependency now.

@VitorNCS2000 oh thanks a lot for the hint regarding the in-game camouflage selector dependency. I'll check if I can reproduce it and will let the Project ARES devs know if that is the case.

Thanks for improving my only real problem with the base mod (inconsistent medkits) and adding a way for assaulters to heal, also I noticed that the in-game camouflage selector mod is necessary to access the IFAK, but it's not mentioned as required in neither this mod nor the base mod, I think adding that mod to the requirements, or at least mentioning it in the description would help avoid comments asking how to find the IFAK.

hey just wanted to say that i love this mod! i know the ares folks are pretty busy and running the mod takes effort, but as someone who has tried to do custom edits and little personalized tweaks to ares before i know it can be a pain. love to see that you've done something great with it!

One mod I would love to see is limited ammo and the ability to pick up dropped guns to swap your weapons if needed. Just my personal choice. Loving the mod.

I would love to see either the 416 or 417 available to rangers, I play with a friend where I play delta and he plays rangers and he's always jealous of them

Just Delta Force for now. I've only just started playing with 75th Rangers again, and they feel very strong. I think giving them the unit upgrades would be op. And I haven't felt the need to change any equipment on them.

@wk37781 you just need the Project ARES main release that's linked as a dependency and should be added automatically when you subscribe to mine. You can use all of the extra modules for Project ARES as well. As long as you enable my edits last, they will work.

@Narcotics you gotta go to the extra equipment slots by clicking on the tiny shirt with the cog at the bottom. Then click on the glowsticks and replace them with the med kit.

Dude, been waiting for this forever.
I believe I requested this on Nexus, but anyway we can get belt feds suppressed for the D-boys, and get the unity risers for more rifles, than just the 416 custom?
