Do the changes stack with Hardcore "Numbskull" perk? =)
Will I be twice a dumb? Because if so - good, I want to be.
Can you share your version on Steam?
Thx for the invite :-) but I had technical problems with discord (Tickets didnt help, my acount was not mine, unable to uninstall Discord completly and thus not able to create a new account with my E-mail g .... when it was time for a new PC Discord was no option for me anymore)
Regarding to my experience close combat skills/maintanence and the flat stats increase by every level (carryweight/damage-swingspeed increase/stealth .... per new stat level is the biggest Vaniilla-balance problem (they start to low, and end to high)
hope that helps and hope for more mods of yours :-). I lack in skill when it comes to modding g.
You are correct. If you started playing with the knight archetype, by mid-play it would be impossible to max out skills like sneaking or archery.
This mod is designed not just to prevent skill maxing, but to extend the sense of progression that comes from leveling up, while also ensuring you don’t become too powerful too quickly. This keeps the game challenging and prevents it from becoming too easy and, consequently, boring.
Yes, this mod can be added or removed at any point in your play through without breaking your save game.
If I were in your position, given the significant time investment you’re willing to make, I’d spend a bit of that time learning how to edit this mod’s files and modify the values to what I think works best.
Join the KCD Modding Community Discord for help, then return here and comment with your preferred values. I’ve found a way to create easy/medium/hard presets—your input could refine them!
played over 300 hours before finishing the game. In that playthrough skills like speech/pickpocketing stealth... / drinking(well I dont like being drunk)/ warfare/science were not maxed out, but it would be easily obtainable if I played about 400 hours.
I just cant see how I would be able to reach max at above mentioned skills with your xp gain reduction.
would it be a thing to add a mod in the middle of vanilla and your actual XP hardship mod?
what if I add your mod during a playthrough (to get a headstart somehow before activating yours)
would that work?
Gonna subscribe this mod on my 2nd play.
5-10 25%
10-15 50%
and then it could go back to the original. I really like the idea of the mod but 50% sounds kinda hard for skills like knowledge and speech.
Yes. The intent here is to drag the play through to hundreds of hours, while still having some sense of progression. Without it, for example I found myself maxing the level before even finishing the first main map...
