I can see there are alternate versions of the Contemnant lore, splitting the winter aspect with either lantern, knock or grail, I've played for a few hours, maxed out my lore but still can't figure out how to acquire the alternate versions, help?

@gama2907 - No estimate; the translator I had working previously is actually having some health issues and we passed the work to someone else in the meantime.

I managed to make it work by following your instructions. One hour and 45 minutes in the nightmare sequence. And i'm now too late to go back. The worst past is that i can probably do it. If i couldn't i would've just restarted and be fine with it.

The suffering is getting to me in real life. And i'm too stubborn to just cheat,

Is it intended that I lose all my allies on going to Solibor? My three starting allies turned into memory cards on arriving at Solibor, then when I left those memories were destroyed, I assumed they'd turn back into their regular form when I left.

@SavagegameX - The id for inhuman remains is foe.corpse.unnatural

@Love Infinite - Right now I'm trying to see what can be done, as researching the bug seems to just indicate it's a Mac OS issue with the Roost playing the music. Still working on a fix, but perhaps you can put a sort of bandaid on it by:
- Replacing the exileandfoeboss.mp3 file in the mod's audio folder with a copy of a track that's already in the audio folder (renaming said replacement as "exileandfoeboss" of course )
- Going to the fighting_exile_foe.json file in the recipes folder and removing the:
"setBGmusic": [
"exileandfoeboss .mp3"
]
code that is there. CTRL F and you should be able to find the relevant code.

I'm also having this issue. Soon as the other Edge Long arrives the screen get's flooded with various enemy actions and it freezes the game. Am also on Mac OS so its probably related.

Is there any fix?

Love the new mod! This one manages to be even more atmospheric than the other two!
And I love the added difficulty of fighting two edge long at once! I'm definitely going to do a challenge run and do it without immortal assistance at some point.

Slight technical hitch I've had: I was upgrading my edge lore to the final level in the ruined country and when I left part way through, the verb was interrupted and I only got my un-upgraded edge lore back. I've been trying to figure out the console command ID for inhuman remains (or even just enemies that turn into them) but I haven't had any luck, so I figured I'd just ask.

Understood, perhaps it could really be a problem related to the branch, when i try it again I'll write another comment here to tell how it went. Thanks for your patience. And just as a side note, i really like your Mods, simply a blast when i played Apostle Obdurant the first time. Only small gripe being when loading several cards from a singular verb at once. Although i did notice that problem in main game as well. Although less prominent. Oh and also thanks for the order from the mods, i knew about GHIRBI and ROOST but knowing the order for your Mods helped quell a doubt i had, so thanks.

@retowngr - This sounds like a Roost or Beta Branch problem. Please ensure you have the Roost and Ghirbi mods subscribed and enabled, and also that you are playing on the Gate of Horn beta branch. Also ensure your mod order (from top to bottom) is: GHIRBI, ROOST, Contemnant, Proterant, Obdurant.

If problems persist, please see if you can share your player.log with me via Dm on discord (sneakworks8901). Or another possibility is that you may be on Mac OS, and sometimes CultSim on the Mac OS doesn't like mods.

I made another test with the Proterant Mod and same problem, plus icons missing. It's possibly related to the fact i downloaded all of them at once so that may have caused this issue. It's probably something on my end. Although i'm unable to tell what it could be. I'll revisit your mod soon, someday if i manage to figure out what could have happened.

The very first scene when i do the first action causes a problem where it seemingly repeatedly adds units non-stop. It's a bit hard to exolain but i have a screenshot of it. I was really excited to play this but until that is fixed or i discover what happened, there won't be much that i can do.

Recent patch accidentally switched English descriptions with the Chinese ones for the warzones; most recent hotfix for Contemnant fixed this. Please update.

CHINESE LOCALIZATION FOR CONTEMNANT IS PUSHED AS OF LATEST PATCH; PLEASE UPDATE THIS MOD AND OBDURANT FOR THIS TO TAKE EFFECT.

@Sepulchurz - Yes that bug was fixed in one of the previous patches; if it pops up again, please let me know.

@孤傲青年布泽 - The typo in the code that was causing this should now be fixed as of the most recent patch.

@WinterMonarch - Another play reported a similar problem whenever the other Edge Long would be summoned - could you send me your player.log file (can DM on Discord would be easiest, but I can also use a google drive link or something). Would you also happen to be on Mac OS?

@e - no plans for a wiki are currently in place I'm afraid; just the pinned ascension guide in the Discussion tab for now until someone makes something.

The only reason I was able to do the base game was because of online guides,I think this could benefit from a wiki or something more in depth.

i was fighting the foe and then when he summoned the exile as well, after i dealt a wound, the game broke, it started spawning a bunch of verbs and the verb with the foe and exile had like 222 seconds but also had the collect button (which did nothing)

Beaten the mod, I think there used to be a bug where when after you burned a city, when you leave, if you communicate with a city in flames, i could then recruit some people. Tried after re update to fix Solibor, the bug was gone.

I talked to an "old cossack", he told me about a sharp object he wanted, and the card vanished. From the portrait, I think he's the Iron-Eater. Is this meant to happen?

@WinterMonarch - A previous comment states a fix for this had been put out. Please ensure you are running the most up to date versions of Contemnant AND Obdurant and the fix should take effect (but if you're already at Sobibor you may need to start the necessary recipe with the console, which is also described below)

once i got to sobibor, im assuming that an enemy verb was meant to spawn, it hasn't and so all the enemies are just sitting there not doing anything

@Sepulchurz - If you're there already, unfortunately the only way is to use the console. Open it with CTRL + ` and then type the recipe name into the command bar, then look for the grail symbol button that should say CREATE or something to that effect

@Sepulchurz - A fix for this was actually put out today recently; please make sure you have subscribed to the most recent versions of Contemnant AND Obdurant, as the framework recipes to make Sobibor work are contained in both mods. You should have the [nightmare.cycle.startup] recipe trigger when you arrive in Sobibor now that this fix is pushed. If not, let me know and I will re-examine.

Got trouble, went to sobibor. now no idea what to do since the lurking sorrow and unseen rages don't unlock despite having 3 trauma.

Unironically, I've actually been having an easier time with this one than the others. Not having to worry about my party size because everyone's sleeping outdoors anyway, recruiting 3+ people every travel, and sourcing provisions from corpses. Not to mention being able to hide your soldiers for HUGE buffs.

No, I'm pretty sure that getting completely no supplies and being blasted by planes together with cannons in the very first city is nothing "surmountable". This is PURE RNG instead:stress:Being a fan of your previous works just can't stop me from admitting this one's difficulty is too much for most players. Consider doing some tweaks please
10/10 for the lore btw, great story done.

This is arguably the most punishing of the three mods. Still, after multiple rounds of playtesting, most of that difficulty is surmountable. To offset the new limitations of Contemnant, consider the following (DO NOT MOUSE OVER IF YOU WANT TO TRY AND FIGURE THESE MECHANICS YOURSELF):

- Search for new Allies as you travel through the Ruined Country
- Make sure to loot the dead
- Make sure to eat the dead (this part actually made many playtesters amass a surplus of Provisions not achievable in Obdurant or Proterant)
- Remember - sometimes you just have to run away!

I can understand if even a fan of Obdurant or Proterant would balk at some of the odds Contemnant might confront you with. Look assiduously through your cards and where you can put them, and you will always have a fair chance at success. "Explore. Take risks. You won't always know what to do next. Keep experimenting, and you'll master it." Just expect to die.

It seems a bit too hard... no local allies, random monster enemy throw at you, wolf randomly eat one of the allies, no stable way to gain supply. It's lore friendly, but it's a bit too hard to have fun in this mod.
