all the mods adding biomes are required, i have used them to put a large variety if biomes across the map
minify everything can be removed but u'll find uninstalled items in item stash across the world that u will he unable to reinstall
if you don't like it cuz of the items weighting 1kg, use better weight

hey man nice mod this si something i will give it a try someday but i gotta ask the "required content" mods in the right like Biomes! and minify everything are really that necessary to work with the mod or are suggestions because the mod was intended like that?? i dont like some mods in that list thats why im asking

@verymulch just the modlist i made for the friend i made the map for originally ngl, kinda forgot it was in the middle of all the other mods for making caravan better, u can definitely not use it won't change anything

@guy762 yeah built it all myself from a world with only ocean :D, there is a brush so you can fill bigger areas than tile by tile fortunately, but i still had to go back a lot for the detailing, worldedit allow you to define any factions, settlements , special places, it's really nice

I've been wondering if something like this was possible in Rimworld...

Did you build all the continents tile-by-tile yourself? Are you able to get the factions to reliably spawn in the same positions on every new game? This is extraordinarily impressive work! Especially that canyon(?) continent with the little archipelago in the bottom corner. This could very well be turned into the map for a whole Final Fantasy-style game

well, idk what to tell you, from my testing it was working, yes UI was disappearing when i was making it sometimes but a restart fixed it, and when gameplay test, removing worldedit itself after initial colony creation fixed the ui issue, yes it's janky to have to remove it, but it ended up working

would love if it was a well working mods with better options but i'll do with good enough

Last I tried, the planet preset system was completely broken. As in, it destroys your entire UI after you begin.

it's buggy but functional enough, you remove it after it did the necessary part of importing the planet to avoid the issues with it

Something you may wanna look into is the World Presents mod.

I could relatively easy safe it in world presents, and then reload it through their system. Doing that fixed the fog issue for me (and it also less clunky than World Edits)

@Elgappa just asked a friend to try and it works, so i assume steam didn't update the mod for you as it loves to do, try verifying files integrity a few times, i think it works for updating mods, lmk if u have further issues

Reduced A LOT of the required dependency, some items will definitely be missing in stash now if you don't use the "maybe required" collection, outside of a one time spam of errors, it works fine!

I've no intent to tangle with all the worldedit and dependency things, but this is a REALLY COOL looking map that's clearly had a lot of work put into it.

since it started as a for-a-friend project, i wasn't as careful with those, leading to this large required mods for safety avoiding errors (you will most likely have a bunch of missing items ones the first time around if you don't use the whole intended mod list but that's just cuz of worldedit being weird, it'll be fine dw)

if you really are wanting to remove more mods, keep at least: more vanilla biomes, all the biomes! ones, terra project, regrowth, geological landform, minifyeverything and their respectives libraries

the rest *might* work and just throw errors here and there when it was expecting an item to be in a stash but i don't think it'll be crash material

removing vanilla psycast expanded will make almost all the stashes a lot worse too
