About the music, i think you can just split the mode, publish the version without music, and just the music
It sounds like you might be using an older version of the mod. The latest version already separates the squads and assigns unique weapons and gear to each. Give it a try!
About the doctrine trees: they’re definitely on the roadmap! But just to set expectations, it’s a huge amount of work to build them properly. It takes time to design something that fits both gameplay and lore, so they won’t show up overnight. But they’re coming!
Regarding the music: I hear you. Right now, there’s no way to make the menu music optional due to how the game handles mod files. It’s a known limitation, and something we’re actively discussing within the modding community to hopefully find a workaround in the future. For now, the only option is disabling the mod to revert to the vanilla music. Not ideal, I know.

I do really like your mod and I get what you are trying to do. I find the tab system a little limiting but your mod, your vision and I respect that.
Yeah some calibers are missing, not a bug, just my brain refusing to deal with them ^^ Don’t worry, I’ll wrestle with it soon!

Main change, split units into different squads (XOF Unit, Diamond Dogs, Foxhound, Rat Patrol Unit, Unit Zero)
Loadouts have been redistributed across all units. But, Unit Zero, have everything!

My approach is to stay true to the full scope of the MGS timeline, which stretches from the 1930s all the way to 2018, so it’s not just about ’90s weapons. Each weapon I add is chosen with respect for the lore, and adding some creativity to it. My philosophy is to give every weapon a custom Tactical variant to add some more SOF gameplay.
As for the Praying Mantis PMC… don’t worry, they’re on their way to the battlefield ;)
Right now the mod uses a tab system, when you load into a mission with many operators, it pulls from all available units to fill the squad. But switching tabs limits it to only the operators in that tab, that’s just how the system works for now.
I’m working on some cool stuff for the next update that might improve this!

Currently, there’s only one squad available, the XOF Unit. Within that squad, you’ll find different unit tabs, but for now, all units share the whole pool of weapons, gear, and equipment. I’m planning to make each unit have its own specific loadout in future updates, with unique weapons and gear.
Technically, there is no limit... But it remains a technical challenge to pack tabs. A modder posted some tabs template, I'm working on a solution to be able to easily add tabs and keep the whole Deploy structure intact. But rest assure, the Gurlukovich's tab is in the to do list
sorry if you already said this but will it ever be possible to play with 2 units at the same time, like using fox and xof at the same time

Yes it is planned! I I’m still playing around with colors and camos, it will come in the next update :)

One known issue, already working on a fix (just couldn't wait to add the Sehalantropus support to the update): When using the Sehalantropus support, the googles are misaligned from the operator. The issue as been identified and a fix is in the work.
