The Rasengan package is in a much better state, and it's been an incredible experience, now being able to play the character without trying to figure out how to remove/transform/upgrade the starting Rasengan as fast as possible.
The stance swap cards are decently balanced.
Draw-discard has been nerfed but remains one of the most powerful options (I think this is ok, it would be sad if it was unplayable).
The vigor deck had already received support before I started playing, and remains good.
I don't have enough data to talk about the balance of the orbs, or I would. There is a clear difference in their power though.
The Power package has some comparatively minor issues. I might find some solution to that later. Possibly creating cross-syngery with other packages?
Thanks for the great mod!
The newest update changed Asura Form (I think) for the worse imo. You don't have a ton of orb slots so it feels more like a way to cycle the orbs like crazy rather than give you a meaningful buff through the special biju tails effects. Biju tails (besides nine) overall lack sauce compared to before the update with exception of the weakening / vulnerable ones. With how quickly you can cycle orbs you never really get to see their actual effects stack.
This is a lot of criticism but overall the mod is really fun, discard synergy + alot of shenanigans in the mod feels like a combo of silent/watcher. Even if stance-dancing is one of the weak archetypes.
That being said, I think that the character needs adjustments. A lot of cards feel dead when taken out of their intended build. Sage/Kurama/Amphibious mode will do nothing/close to nothing unless put in their respective build, Some Rasens can turn into curses since some of them literally can't be played unless used in a tail build, the calm cards either need a second one or to wait an entire deck cycle just for them to go off. (Also, I think some block commons are overcosted. Fox Cloak is a Charge Battery with twice the startup time, twice the cost, and only 2 more block. Body Double triggers Dex twice, but also makes it hard to play clones without tail support and is worse than 2 defends at base value.)
Also @jojo, I would also like a Chinese translation, but I don't know Chinese and I'm not comfortable using AI translation. If anyone would like to contribute a translation, feel free to drop by the Discord server or submit a pull request on the Github repo. Thank you for your interest!!
Thanks for the feedback! Your suggestions are great ideas, so I'll be taking them into account as part of an upcoming (slightly larger) patch.
There's multiple fixes for this:
Fix 1. The most obvious one would be to make Rasengan cost 2 and deal 12. With the upgrade giving +3 damage, instead of -1 cost. (upgraded version would stay the same.)
Fix 2. The less obvious change would be to give the Nine-Tailed another starting card, either instead of Rasengan, or in addition to it. If it was me, I'd swap it for the weak, but flavorful card Fox Cloak. Rasengan -> Common. Fox Cloak -> Starting card.
1. Ramen feels bland.
My fix for this would be to match the theme of Unpredictable, and Clones.
Old Effect +6 vigor, New Effect +5 vigor and block.
2. Draw-Discard is the strongest deck, by far.
My Fix:
Double Team -> Uncommon
Hop -> Common
3. Amphibious mode is a bit weak, but not enough for me to care much. It might be fine to make it cost 1, and have the upgraded version also enter calm when played?
Thanks for the report! I'll look into that interaction soon.
Not sure if it is a problem of the mod or someother thing I have (all QOL), but Rasengan Energy cost does not go down with channeled clones if i retain the card with runic pyramid (it does work on the first turn i draw the card), even if i create a clone on the turn.
Thanks for the report! Fix coming tomorrow.
I would like to report a bug though. Magnet Rasengan (from the Right Hand relic) applies the Weak and Vulnerable to me. If its supposed to do that, then the wording doesn't do a good job at conveying that, and is overall very weak.
I'm having a blast with both The Nine Tails and The Crismon eyes.
@alepoo That's the correct behavior. It's intended to provide triple damage, but require support to have enough Energy to play strong attacks.
Thank you so much! Glad you like it :)
Fixed. Thank you!
