The way to fix that is go back a few turns and do something with Knossos-attack or trade deal or something ...the ai with do a different thing and it will not crash.

This is a great mod, however when playing multiplayer with friend, we are on turn 52 and the game just closes everytime at the particular AI's turn (Knossos) theres nothing we can do to change the outcome of Knosses's decision. We have nuked the game, keeping the save file and resintalled everything. Still crashes.

Well Parthia has one of the hardest start indeed. Use the deployables around the outside of the city and let the enemy die out there. I would also use the "Forts" sub mod as it will help your army out in enemy lands. Play on Normal campaign to start. This is a Hard Core mod for experienced players .... remember the old Roma Surrectum mod for Rome Total War it is the main inspiration.

I'm not trying to get into an internet argument here because one a lot of levels I really like this mod. I think the upgraded icons are great, I loved the variety of units I had at my disposal. And I do enjoy a bigger challenge, but I've found that just playing the original game on Hard/Very Hard is enough of a challenge. I hate that all the stuff I love about it is gatekept behind the "Realism" mod or less aggression which is nonfunctional. As Parthia, in the first turn everybody around me declared war on me, and each had four full armies. That's just something that's near impossible to beat. Maybe I picked a faction you're not supposed to play or something, I don't know.

It is indeed for people that want to have fun.
Buckhunter 22 May @ 9:17pm
I don't need any Realism mod. Your mod is perfect please don't change. This Hard campaign with all these army's is for pros and people with mods who want to have fun
BRAN MAC BORN  [author] 12 May @ 10:18pm
Use the Realism sub mod then. Less Ai armies.

Less aggression doesn't seem to be functioning with the patch. The problem me and my friend are having is that we're building up these huge armies, stretching our budgets, and then we have a big battle with the enemy which drains us. And then next turn they've got two new armies. We just can't keep up with the pace the AI cranks out new units.

You progress through expansion...you must strike first and hard....then get a foot hold pick your targets wisely. Make trade deals. Pick your allies that will help. Once you get a foothold you will be ready to go. Play on Normal at first. This is Hard Core. You came use submods like the Slower or Less Aggressive campaign submod.
No idea how to play this. Every country around me has three 20 stacks by turn 4 while I'm unable to maintain one of my own. Progression seems impossible?

I looked at the building chains and you can recruit them.
[-RO-] chivu23 10 May @ 2:44pm
hello. why in the Nabataea campaign do buildings have to be converted and can't I recruit faction-specific units?

Check your graphics setting ingame turn up unit detail to ultra.
never seen that before.

Hi Awesome mods. just wondering why some of my generals and soldiers are invisible but are wearing armor
BRAN MAC BORN  [author] 23 Apr @ 1:29am
No. This is a WAR GAME. You can use other sub mods that lower the amount of armies. Try the less Aggressive or slower campaign sub mods. In any case this is for the Hard core player.

I really love this mod for the visual, the range of units, the scale and the balance of the fights. But. There are too many armies, their number, depending on the empire, even allows the minors to stamp out some countless hordes. Which turns the campaign into either hardcore or a meat assault, with no end in sight. Ideally, reducing the army limit by 3-4 times would be ideal. But I think this contradicts the authors' idea of large-scale battles. It's a bit of a pity.
BRAN MAC BORN  [author] 9 Apr @ 6:05pm
Diplomatic overhauls. With the Romans FAFO, LOL.

I decided to play on Very hard... I haven't seen such pornography in a long time. 15 turns didn't even finish and Rome showed me a real Overlord operation (7 fully equipped armies of Principes and Triari in Apollonia). Does this version change anything else besides the economy?
BRAN MAC BORN  [author] 7 Apr @ 10:35pm
You have to conquer regions to make money and trade agreements. You can use version 10.8 on the main mod page. This version is a harder economy for sure. The Ai cannot make money as it does not know what building to make. All overhaul mods make it easier for the ai to build armies . As this is a WAR game and NOT a Civ game..it is about Big battles and Empire building.

Hey Bran, love your mod. For me personally AI not paying to pay any upkeep (at least it shows 0 on their unit upkeep) togheter with me barely scraping togheter an Army made it hard to advance. Been mostly playing only defensive/siege battles. Is it possible that you could make a submod that improves players upkeep?

Nice I will try this mod for the first time ♥
