@Roknar Not sure what you mean with hair color but Dollhouse does let you override the colors on each slot independently which is cool. You can break the limitation of just a primary and secondary color for the whole soldier. There are some checkboxes on the right when you are in each slot.
Max 11 Jul @ 2:40pm
Shoulders and Forearms can only be selected when using individual Left/Right arms, so unless the soldier's wearing those, those slots/ll be greyed out.
Roknar 11 Jul @ 12:22pm
Let me know if you find that lol, tinting any way you want would be dope. As far as I know you can't, you can change what colours affect which pieces, but you are still limited by the colour selectors.

For example you could set your primary colour on armour to use hair colour and then you have whatever as secondary but that's it. And this per slot, so your whole cosmetic could be using a bunch of different colours rather than the base 2. But I only recently learned myself that this is an option.

Unless you were to use some kind of custom material, and then you would still be limited to the number of colour selectors. So, I could definitely be wrong or missing something.

@Max Thanks for the info and suggestions, I will update. I thought I needed Dollhouse/UCR but I guess I just didnt have enough cosmetics installed when I couldnt access the slots previously. Or could have been a bug (?) I just noticed with the shoulders being greyed out until I enter/exit a menu for one of the arms.

Also, do you know of any Dollhouse alternative that lets you independently tint each slot? Its a nice bonus feature.
Max 10 Jul @ 6:10pm
Follow-up - you may want to avoid recommending Dollhouse, as that mod's been left in a perpetual beta state since September last year, and the author seems to have totally vanished. Lots of little bugs here and there, and they're probably not coming back to finish it.

The alternatives are Customize Soldier Size for the soldier scaling and One Million Colours plus its' WOTC plugin for the fine-tuned color options.

Resizable Armor also works for soldier scaling, as well as being able to scale individual parts, at the cost of not saving any settings to the character pool.
Max 10 Jul @ 6:02pm
Slight correction - neither Dollhouse or UCR are required to access all body part slots. If a specific slot isn't showing up, it's because no part options for it exist.

I use neither and i always have access to all part slots on all soldier types, because with the cosmetics i run, every slot will have at least 1 part available for any given soldier type or armor.

Invisible Body Parts for All (like you already mention) is already good enough for this, as it includes a single body part for every slot, soldier, and armor type.

One probably doesn't need IBPFA if they're running DH or UCR, as those mods unlock all the slots by default and have their own options for hiding / removing parts from a slot. Primary exception are the invisible heads, as neither DH or UCR have options for hiding heads.

@faynemalik No plans for more chapters right now. Terminators would be awesome but the base game only has Thousand Sons terminators.

@Wrath Thanks, glad youre enjoying!

@Jokerke Yeah I didnt put anything underneath, I wasnt sure what style/color people would want so just left it to everyone's imagination lol
QQ小冰 1 Jul @ 8:44am
When I use this mod ——Project DollHouse, it causes the DLC XCOM 2: Shen's Last Gift task to be inaccessible and constantly crashes. Can anyone help me?
Jokerke 7 Jun @ 11:28am
I have a question. None of the Sniper Cloths have shoulderpads underneath. Is that how they're supposed to be?
Wrath 3 Jun @ 5:16am
Justt a message to say : The models are superb in game
Solid work, gg
faynemalik 2 Jun @ 1:21pm
And plz dont stop making warhammer mods this is fire and we need terminators
faynemalik 2 Jun @ 1:20pm
can we get more Chapter pauldrons
Player  [author] 7 May @ 8:07pm
@DREAMKEEM1 Tinting should be fixed now and work again without DollHouse if you dont want to use that mod.
Player  [author] 7 May @ 4:39pm
@DREAMKEEM1 Currently you need Project DollHouse to tint, its broken without it
DREAMKEEM1 7 May @ 2:14pm
All my tintable armor is red and i cant change it
Raisen 16 Apr @ 4:35pm
@Player. Thank so much again. I will check it later, since i leave it last night on the begining of a mission and right now, i'm on the middle of a commission (illustrator).
Player  [author] 16 Apr @ 11:56am
@Raisen I double checked and noticed what you were talking about. Ive updated the mod so the eyepiece should not hide facial hair anymore. Thanks for testing it, enjoy!
Player  [author] 16 Apr @ 1:27am
@suicidal hyena I only know how to add models that are in SM2, I dont know how to add decals

@Heavy all the classes are now in!

@Sprinkz "to access all the slots for all soldier types (like shoulders/shins on XCOM kevlar), also lets you scale up soldiers a bit so they look more like Astartes. Other mods like Unrestricted Customization should work too."

@Raisen Im not sure whats going on but I was able to get both the eyepiece and a beard. Try reapplying the beard after?
Raisen 15 Apr @ 7:06pm
There is any way the Phobos Captain head piece can be configurate to keep the beard?

Because when i give it to the Acheran i did, his beard dissapear.
Sprinkz 5 Apr @ 1:23pm
So why does this need project dollhouse, which is notoriously buggy?
Heavy 28 Mar @ 9:04am
perfect ot conbine with other warhammer mods
at this rate, are you going to do all the class ? would be insane
suicidal hyena 27 Mar @ 8:20pm
any plans for carcharodon aka space shark shoulder
Player  [author] 27 Mar @ 6:31pm
@Roknar Yeah its probably something simple Im missing lol

@iceman18 No plans for female armor right now. SM2 had Guardsmen that were female but the Guard models are a slightly different scale which I havent played around with yet. And posing the arms takes a while

@tastiger841 Yeah some people have been asking for Chaos but no plans for them or the Rubric Marines right now.

@Wolf Renegade Thanks! Nope, the mod isnt cooked, havent looked into how to do that yet but tastiger841 left a link for me if I ever get around to it lol
Wolf Renegade 27 Mar @ 4:23pm
Top notch stuff. I have a question, is the mod cooked?
mutant 27 Mar @ 9:01am
amazing job, imma reinstal the game just to play with your mod ^^
Johnny Guitar 26 Mar @ 11:11am
All thats missing now are the Raptors
tastiger841 25 Mar @ 5:32pm
No worries, and no pressure if you need time to do it.

Just wondering if you are going to bring some bad boys like Tzeentch to complement World Eaters on the workshop?
iceman18 25 Mar @ 1:59pm
any chance you will be adding More armor types to this line like female armor types?
Roknar 25 Mar @ 1:23pm
Oh well, keep it in mind for a later point maybe, I am 99% sure this is fixable without anything too crazy.
Player  [author] 25 Mar @ 1:00pm
@Roknar Trying that says "0 verticies/edges/faces removed" and I didnt notice a difference in UE. Thanks anyway, looks like the captains will have to live with blocky shoulders lol

@tastiger841 Thanks for the link, thats exactly what I was talking about but couldnt figure out. I knew some other mods were doing something extra, maybe Ill look into it.
UltraCoolKiddo 25 Mar @ 12:00pm
Can't wait for the Tacticus armour! And I'm definitely a fan of the tintable armours. The one thing I didn't like about your Deathwatch Armour pack is that they had to be just all black. I want my Salamander green!
tastiger841 24 Mar @ 8:51pm
Wow, only 1k and I can't imagine how big the files are in SM2!

There is a method called cooking and you can find the link in this post: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2936278324
Kaybern 24 Mar @ 8:09pm
I hope you consider porting in the chaos armors as well some day
djpaulycee 24 Mar @ 6:34pm
thanks man! now im gonna need a space marine submod/addition to the "supersoldiers" mod. The spartan side of that is close but not quite
Roknar 24 Mar @ 2:09pm
Does a degenerate dissolve do anything? (under mesh -> cleanup)-
There might be overlapping edges.
Player  [author] 24 Mar @ 2:03pm
@Roknar Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately no luck. I tried it on the problem items with different settings and export options but didnt see a change in Unreal Editor or blender. I did see some effect on the unproblematic items though.

@tastiger841 Textures are max 1k but there are a lot of them. I already reduced them from 2k. I could reduce further but dont know if people would like the loss of detail. I know there is some way to bake or compress them even further without just cutting resolution but I dont know how.

@ColossusUltra Chapter symbols would be cool but unfortunately no plans for that. There are a few shoulders with symbols in my Deathwatch mod, but they are only on the right side.
Aura 24 Mar @ 1:09pm
I love your the Deathwatch mod you put out recently, I look forward to using this mod in my playthroughs.
Raisen 24 Mar @ 11:58am
YES!!! now i can swap some of the helms and some pieces with better ones.

The only thing i need is Dreadnoughts to replace the sparks and MECs ♥
Lena'Vamme 24 Mar @ 9:47am
Im ready to see more of these mods and probably more updates. Unlike the abandoned 40k Overhaul mod we had previously.
Maverick 24 Mar @ 9:38am
Excellent work master !!!
Hungry Tapeworm 24 Mar @ 9:09am
All this new 40k content is very cool. Love to see it!
ColossusUltra 24 Mar @ 8:27am
Do you have plants to add the various Chapter symbols as a separate mod? I imagine it'd take a lot of time.
tastiger841 24 Mar @ 3:53am
Are the textures in 4k as the file size is quite big?
Memes 24 Mar @ 1:59am
I can not express how much this would enhance the 40k run I'm doing right now.:steamthumbsup:
Roknar 24 Mar @ 12:40am
Before exporting you can try to right click and choose "shade auto smooth".
Then when exporting choose "Tangent space" in the geometry options (and apply to face... I think).

It needs the model to be all quads/tris but that being a game asset, it should still be the case even with the decimate. Auto smooth does a pretty good job for the most part even without messing with it.

You can then simply re-import that skeletal mesh, you should see the change even without applying any material. With any luck it should look like it does in blender.
Player  [author] 23 Mar @ 11:44pm
@Roknar Hey again! I am using the blender Decimate modifier for everything. It works for most items but some certain ones no matter what I do (even not using it at all) still end up blocky once in game. Weird but just living with it lol

@Damwrongname Thanks, glad you like it! My username isnt hidden though, its just generic lol
RakkoHug~<3 23 Mar @ 9:30pm
Space King :)
Roknar 23 Mar @ 3:03pm
Primaris marines can go eat a a bag of pickles, but as for the blockyness, that has to do with smoothing/shading. You'll need to play around with smoothing to get that right. Unfortunately the preview in Blender does not always translate to the game. I still haven't figured out a consistent way.

You can hop onto the xcom2 mod reddit discord if you need help, somebody there will be able to help. That is fixable.
Damwrongname 23 Mar @ 2:55pm
Shame the name is hidden but anyhow whoever you are props for making SM power armour that actually looks like it belongs in the XCOM universe. The armour is not too blocky the colours match well with the game and there seem to be plenty of options to chose from were it not just a cookie cutter design.

I like it A LOT.
I give it two very enthusiastic thumbs up.
