No problem! Sorry it took me so long to figure out what exactly you were talking about (since there's quite a lot of reasons why scaling could be way different per item), lol.

tysm for the answer <3

For all the different variants of equipment, there's a page in the wiki for it: https://wiki.heroesofhammerwatch2.com/Equipment

Items exist in various tiers of power, in addition to the item level. For example, Studded Leather (third tier DEX armor) gives +15% weapon attack speed in comparison to the Leather Armor (second tier DEX armor), which only gives 10% weapon attack speed.

You can generally assume that the fancier its sprite is and the higher its stat requirements in comparison to its level, the greater its difference, as later tier gear scales better than lower tier gear.

so then maybe a dumb question as i don't know how this works, but i have some items that drop that give +15% attack speed. Armor items that i am sure are just vanilla. And a same level upgraded item only gives +10%, pretty sure the items are both just vanilla and attack speed should go up with levels i assume?

This mod only changes how item levels work - no real changes were made to the equipment and how it scales. Some modded item types have crazy high damage scaling in comparison to vanilla.

or maybe another mod i have installed idk
mrderpyderpy 1 Jul @ 11:49am
so idk if it's me but it fels like my items are not scaling correctly, as i just picked up a new weapon on the same level and it dealt 100 more damage, from 70 to 170

That's a relief! Again, thank you very much for taking the time to test it for me.

Sorry for the delay. Haven't really played the last number of days, but it seems to work now. We're both getting upgrades, regardless of who's host.

Released another update, and tested it in singleplayer (sorry if I can't test it in multiplayer - unfortunately I can't split myself in two...).
Again, I apologize for the inconvenience caused. I'm still new to netcode (or just using the WorldScript namespace in general) so I kind of have to resort to the needle-in-a-haystack approach...

Doesn't appear to be working, I'm afraid. Host's still getting notified of upgrades, but nothing's being applied to the coop player.

Just pushed an update that should hopefully resolve this issue (at least partially?). Just gave it a run and it works in singleplayer, but multiplayer is a bit of a gamble - let me know if it works.

If you're playing Coop, it seems like the random boss upgrades only apply to the Host's gear. The Host will still get notified that some of the coop player's gear got upgraded, but it doesn't actually apply it.
