id send you a screen shot if i could but ill try to explain it again since my vocabulary sucks but basically, sometimes a void room generates and its just random decorations placed in random areas with a slight blue tint that looks nothing like the logo.

btw i forgot to mention, i have repentagon downloaded and when i click on c (mod control settings) it says i dont have any rooms unlocked

i dont understand, when i try this mod on, i only get a room with a blue color but no decorations. Does anyone know why this is happening?

im no expert and i dont use this mod, but im pretty sure the rocks and pits thing is an intentional fiend folio addition, unless you mean a non-textural issue or modded rocks / pits not appearing at all? fiend folio kind of "shuffles" pits and rocks i think. the only gameplay issue i can think of that would be caused is grotto mud being replaced by any other pit, but besides that its probably just fiend folio trying to make the void seem more "glitchy"

As you said, a lot of these things are due to limitations with the API. I try to polish things up with REPENTOGON, but it can only do so much. I will look into the Boiler issue, as I have noticed it myself, and I have to put out a patch soon because of a change in the nightly REPENTOGON build.

Removing the Shrines from Revelations is outside the scope of this mod because I'm lazy and don't want to integrate support for every mod. I will reconsider if I get annoyed enough, Revelations is my favorite mod ever.

Ascent support will be an update if I ever decide to do it.

There's several other odd things that happen in rooms from modded floors including; All special rocks being treated as pots, water sometimes disappearing in Boiler rooms upon reentry and rooms having either the Womb or Utero shader or Cathedral lights. All of these are probably caused by the limitations of Custom Stage API and/or Repentogon that are currently not fixable. But I kinda like them since it makes the Void more chaotic (both in-game and in-lore). At least the invisible grids and pits issue I had the other day fixed itself. I also think Revelations shrine rooms shouldn't be in the Void as there's no vanity shop (unless you wanna give yourself a challenge for whatever reason), but the Future rooms with the Steven traders and secret room merchant should remain since they can be helpful even in the Void. Lastly @Liz, if plans for Ascent support do happen, will it be included here or as part of a separate mod?

1 is not happening to me, but I will look into it. 2 is an issue on the part of Revelations, I don't really want to fix it. For 3, please check the Dead Sea Scrolls menu to see what setting is being used.

I was trying this on Repentance + without Repentogon and had only Revelations on and there are some issues

1. Custom bosses can replace Delirium in his room and game still counts it as defeating Delirium and give mark
2. (Revelations only issue) Shrine rooms can appear within Void and you can make pacts and get Vanity points but there is no Prank shop.
3. 90% of rooms are taken from either Glacier or Tomb.

Idk if these issues are bc I don't have Repentogon or not. Overall I
I cross fingers for this mod and hope more mods will be compatible with it

Repentogon does that with the Better Void Generation setting. It'll do it better than any base game mod could. But I'll think about it.

Great mod! I've been hoping for something like this for a long time :)

Sorry if this is too much to ask, but would you be able to make a similar mod that adds rooms from the Alt Path into The Void?

(also, i very briefly tested this with the godmode achieved mod and it worked fine!)

The future of this mod will involve allowing StageAPI floors to appear on the ascent, if that's not in the scope of StageAPI itself. This itself will be more involved, however.

Not sure I can do anything about grids flickering, that's probably on the mods themselves.

Hey @Liz, I was thinking of an idea like this a long time ago. So thanks for making it a reality! I tested this with Godmode and Exodus and rooms from their floors showed up in the Void for me. So you can put them on the "test" list. There seems to be a visual bug where grids are invisible and become visible again upon room re-entry. Now I wish to see you or someone else make a mod that allows modded floors to be Greed Mode compatible, as well as a mod that makes Revelations floors Ascent compatible (with their own unique Ascent rooms and tainted enemies of course)

No, it doesn't. It's just an extension of StageAPI.

I don't think I should throw my hat in that ring, every modder and their mother wants to make a void overhaul, and I'm not sure mine would be interesting or original.

It should work with The Future, I just haven't tested it.

As for the bug with the color correction, I'm aware of this but have no idea how to fix it. Have you turned it on / off in the settings?

As a side note, Godmode Achieved does not use StageAPI so this mod is inherently incompatible with it.

The only issue I found is that in some Fall From Grace's rooms, only the Boiler one (and in some Godmode's rooms as well, in another distinct run), the shaders (I think) break and the room become increasingly white (like very foggy) and eventually you hardly can see what is happening. If you go in another room everithing returns to normal.
When I had FFG active I had also Future and Last Judgement active, when I had Godmode active I had also Fiend Folio active, in both cases I had Repentogon active obviously.
