Right having now played your missions extensively I can give proper feedback, absolutely phenomenal work,

I've seen it mentioned elsewhere in these comments that they are better than the developers missions and I couldn't agree more, there was a very deliberate and themed attention to the way you built and decorated the maps, the units you put on those maps and the flow of battle that takes places as you progress up the map, whereas the original missions we got felt very thrown together with an almost "F*** you, there's your stupid skirmish missions" attitude behind them, yours felt very much like they were made to be enjoyed and challenging at the same time,

really well done, if you intend to make more of these or some for the other factions then I intend to play them, you should be proud of yourself

so, finished the second and third missions without DLC - no bugs, crashes or any strange things. clean game, no other mods, no file changes, version 1.053.0, hardcore
may be useful for some SP players to know, or maybe it was just a lucky day - worth to try)

Its not just the units though, the whole environments are built using Liberation or Airborne content. And then yeah you have vehicles and units that were introduced for both US and Germany with Liberation and Airborne lol.

So yeah I don't even know how it works but I mean fair enough. I guess if you do run into crashes/glitches then you know why but otherwise have fun :D

the campaign works smoothly without DLS, maybe it skips on the unit without errors

@Fleppkek which dlc don’t you have? I wouldn’t have thought you would be able to play it without the dlc but either way reinforcements shouldn’t be tied to this. Mission one usually has them a little later though, usually appearing as you take the Artillery and Heavy tank point

Gotta give it to you man, these missions feel vanilla, the doctrines and maps are amazing in general, blood in the low lands is my new favorite mission in the whole franchise theres something about it. all the love keep it up brother

@Onyx Steam summer sale, now is a better time than ever.... the content of the DLC's are more than worth it if you like the base game.

This mod uses content from the DLC's listed so thats why they are required (US faction, multiple German units etc). It's possible I may create a skirmish in future that only requires base game but unlikely atm.

Interesting... I have not noticed this on any maps at all until yours.
Let me tinker with it some more. Your field also looks correctly toned and mine an odd bright contract.

@Prowlinger Thanks for providing that image, I can see that looks like the "Blood in the Lowlands" / Netherlands mission and not the Mortain one. However, launching the workshop version of the mod on the current version of the game, I can see it looks fine for me:

Therefore I think this is something local with your game. If you're familiar with the editor, you can see if this specific texture in general is somehow bugged on your game? The texture name is euro_field3a. But yeah otherwise not sure what to suggest aside from verifying files? I can't see this issue and no one else has reported it so I'm pretty confident it's not related to the mod/map itself... sorry :/

@RogueTrooper Thanks! Appreciate the suggestion, I love a good Mark Felton video. I actually originally thought about choosing an area around/near Overloon for my original "Blood in the Lowlands" mission but instead went for something fictional in regards to the landscape with just a 'blank market garden' mission backdrop. I may revisit an Overloon specific mission once I come to do a US/UK Skirmish mission in the Netherlands.

@xerifebingbing27 Much appreciated! Yeah I like skirmishes because they have that back and forth, tug of war kinda feel and like you say gives a touch of realism. Definitely have plans for other Skirmishes with other factions, just can't say when that will happen yet.

....your work on this MOD was very good in my opinion...although the counterattacks were powerful...it wasn't that boring thing of waves and waves of endless attacks that for me is very artificial (many people like it...but not me). A military force counterattacks with the reserves in general or reinforcement it receives and on a wide front, this does not occur indefinitely because the resources are spread over kilometers...you balanced it here by sending a strong counterattack but there is a way to stop it if you have backup forces (in a second line of defense) behind you when you momentarily retreat....and this gives a touch of realism to the battle. Congratulations! One question...do you by any chance intend to do any battle in the future that is Germans against Russians or Russians against Germans? Just curious.

@Prowlinger Technically yes, but I'd rather create more bespoke stuff for the US. Especially when the time taken to do the perspective change can just be put into newer experiences, even if they take slightly longer to create overall.

Can you do this? Release the exact same maps but from the perspective of the Allies vs Germany in these exact missions? That would be amazing... I wish all skirmish maps had this option.

@Leyden Other users have managed to play this mission in multiplayer and testing now I can host this mission a mp lobby without a crash. So this is something local to you/your group.

I can only suggest reinstalling the mod and ensuring nothing else is causing this issue.

The battle at Kassel with the octopus tan tiger 2s fighting against american tank destroyers and Co.
at the start of it, could just be me but its not exactly immersive when your defending strategic points and all you start out with is one car/armored car with a rag tag group of soldiers. at least one vehicle would be nice, if the enemy becomes harder due to that it would still be fine because were facing the their elite divisions as well, in market garden its the 101st and the SAS.

I like the fact you have given an offering to it of course and im greatful for it. just my view on it, one would think germany would be sending more...

(i had to do two parts to this lol.)
i see for example theres destroyed panther tanks, maybe you could leave 1 at least to repair under special circumstances? like the old missions in Men of war AS2 where you could get a jagpdpanther fixed if you worked up to it, defended it while it was getting fixed type of scenario.

maybe if you start fixing the panthers at the start, it triggers an assault from the enemy to halt you from it, an optional side objective type of thing if you have the balls for it/ can get it fixed in time.

@M.C.Darkness @mikpig The original premise of the mod was just German skirmishes on the Western Front but I am definitely going to add more skirmishes in the future for other factions and theatres.
can we get more vehicles? i love the mod otherwise.
