Report a translation problem
you can just translate it with deepl or any other LLM and extract translation mod,so that you can finish the work without mastering a foreign language.Though translate it might still a hard work.(Someone translated the mod into Chinese by deepseek before i complete the work, and it still cost him about 2 or 3 days due to the great amount of text)
(Gave you the most expensive award available, keep it up 🫂)
If I speak russian, it doesn't mean, that i live on Russia. You need to be more loyalty to other people and don't be the nacist
There are Russians all over the world who are supportive of Ukraine. It's fair enough not spending money on anything that could end up with taxes going to Putin, but it's dangerous to tar all Russians with the same brush.
Same goes for being against the IDF or Netanyahu etc, doesn't mean it's okay to be against Jewish people as a whole. Same with China, America, wherever - be against the leader, and those who support or turn a blind eye to them, but remember there's plenty of people in these nations who not only disagree but actively protest against them.
TLDR: Be against the tyrants and those who support them, not against entire nationalities and cultures. Unless it's within Rimworld, in which case I'm all for making those bandits into hats...
Thanks so much for appreciating the mod enough to offer localization support. It really means a lot.
Please, take no rush for a Russian translation. I totally understand it can be frustrating that I'm not actively working on all the planned features at the moment, but I want to give this project my full attention to do it. Some major improvements are coming, and they might significantly change the content.
If someone starts translating now, they might have to redo a lot of work later. I’d hate for you to waste money or time because of that.
I haven’t forgotten about the mod, and I’ll be back on it as soon as I can!
Trust me, I already made an update correcting almost all the "forced" disables. (you can see the changes in "change notes"). The ones I left behind make some sense or at least complement the backstory/hint of personality for that backstory.
If you have an opinion, I encourage you to put it in the "suggestions" section. I assure you that it will be read in detail, and possibly integrated into the mod.
Right right now I'm waiting to build some heavy features before making the big changes.
People can change after all, and they have just began a new life on rimworld.
Yeah, it’s annoying, but it’s a trait from "Vanilla Traits Expanded" and it behaves exactly the way it’s supposed to.
The whole point is that, even though the character is "prepared" for battle, they can’t handle the pressure of it. There are a few real-life cases like that too, and that’s the idea behind that specific backstory.
That one was made by @Ravinglegend. Guy really knew what he was doing, so I doubt there is a better way.
Currently, you only have pre-collapse backstories. I could make a lot of post-collapse backstories that would fit amazingly good.
Basically:
- I could encompass all the lore of Wastelanders, Metro, and Fallout into childhoods that originate from a "radworld."
- I could make adult backstories that feel "harsh" line up with a childhood in places where that would make sense. People who aren't necessarily bad, but shaped by virtues or flaws rooted in the environments they were raised in. Like the previously mentioned world that would serve as a sort of origin similar to the Death Realms in X-Piratez (I don’t think you’ve played it, but it's basically Mad Max Australia).
I dare say the potential of this mod hasn't even begun, which is why I'm surprised so many people are paying attention to it.
But yeah, since I watched squid games season 2 I thought about making something in the spirit of "I HAVE BEEN IN THIS RIM BEFOREEEE" lol
thank you rout!!
Death Game Survivor - This pawn was forced to participate in a brutal death game to entertain the wealthy clientele of a megacorporation. This harrowing experience led them to be extremely distrustful of others, but gave them valuable combat experience.

I don't even know how the game handles localization in other languages. It can't be so hard, but never did.
Ancients backstories should not spawn in pirates, for example.
Please, seriously. It's not going to discourage me from the work I'm doing. It's simply to improve everyone's experience.
See the "Seafarer" for example (It is in the screenshots). I was writting an alternative way to focus in the way he stayed at his port city, and didn't notice I left some of it in the writting.
"... But Simon stayed behind"
"...But he made the choice to stay"
REDUNDANT
see? that kind of stuff. Its not that simple to notice while you are doing it. I'm sure reading them all after a while will help me to give them some tweaks.
Very appreciated.
But... if I add 100 new ones now, that’s 100 more I’ll have to go back and revise later.
Having these features in place lets me think about writing details that used to be impossible to add due to limitations.
Yeah, I think it's better to finish this part of the project first to see what can really be done... and once that’s in place tweak each backstory to implement those features.
(I don’t remember if I included the Ancient and Obsidia backstories in the adults recount, but if I didn't, that’s over 200 backstories that need changes, lol... plenty of work just with that!)
