So it turns out that it won't be possible to make a night map either? You can't change day to night in the editor... Too bad.
This also meant that I couldn't make a pool lower than ground level, and instead had to increase the height of the floor around the pool.
The stone texture I have at the bottom of the pool is one of the stone floor meshes placed slightly above the default ground height to cover the grass.
Also, unfortunately, sometimes the correct setup results in a out of phase cycle that needs to be "reset" manually, making it even harder to realize that you got it.
If someone is in need of a more detailed hint: there are two possible solutions to this puzzle, 180 degrees symmetrical to the central slab
As Rocket has already said, the slabs on the ground give a clue to connector placement. The two outer connectors, when connected to the necessary sources/targets have rotational symmetry and the third connector drives a wedge between them.
It's quite elegant when up and running.
I am still unable to solve it properly, any help?
I seem to be able to get one clock going at a time in Cyclic, but I never was very good at color cycling puzzles. I had to use a lot of freebies in TP2 to get past them, and the principles of their operation never made a lot of sense to me.
I do see the idea, but I can't seem to get a cycler that alternates between Red and Blue. I can get Red (or Blue) and neutral , but even using Photo Mode for an overhead shot I can never quite seem to get my head around how the alternator is supposed to fit together.
The rest of the puzzles are great fun, though. Higher Ground 1/2/3 and their associated star were fun, and Rebuilding Connections I thought was the least "gimmicky" of the puzzles, requiring the least fiddling with lasers - I also was able to get its star relatively simply once I realized what was being asked of me.
It shouldn't, but sometimes you may need to block a source to offset the laser timings. You will know this is the case if everything de-powers at the same time. I think this happens if you get unlucky with the timing of when you place the last connector
I managed to make a cycle for one of the colors, and one for both that didn't have enough time to let them charge, but i still don't understand how to do it. Does the solution require some sort of interference from the player to start the cycle?
Cyclic is probably the hardest puzzle (as any laser clock puzzle will be). Without directly spoiling the solution, the starting configuration is designed to be somewhat of a clue. The grey stones are also hint as to where the connectors can be placed to solve the puzzle.
Hint: The puzzle "Chain" from Talos 2 Orpheus Ascending DLC :)
Yes, Using the cube to breakout the connector is the intended method to get the star
do in rebuilding connection you have to bring a connector outside using a cube? I did that but I think it's not the intended way
ps I used the same idea of lift off in a cpuple of levels I'm gonna publish
