Respect, sounds of equipment and weapons convey the atmosphere of the battle. Author do you have the opportunity to make an adaptation of this mod with Battlefield 1.5.8 2025-6-20 (Realistic Battlefield Restoration) ?
I think this will be the best compilation of sound and graphic effects for the game.

Explosions are finally done. I probably won't do much apart from tweaking things here and there until UK gets added. Hope you guys enjoy it

After a bit of fidgeting, I've added frag grenade explosions to the mod. This is just an early experiment so I know what I'm doing when I'm adding everything else in. Turns out Gates of Hell has an entire folder for grenade explosions, but proceeded to not use it for most grenades. Only German stick grenades actually use the grenade sound files. Soviet F-1s, Finnish M/32s, and American Mk IIs all use the generic HE explosion sounds. I guess GoH decided that frags sound exactly like 47mm HE shells.

As for some of the bad machine guns (especially the Maxim), I'm considering changing the sound altogether to something that doesn't bug out so much, so watch out for that too.

As requested, I've did my best to add new engine sounds for tanks. Many vehicles are unchanged because Robz Realism itself doesn't even overhaul all engine noises anyways, and some tanks are unique to GoH like the Char B1. Hope y'all enjoy it anyways.

Explosions I'm willing to give a go, but I took a look in that folder and it's pretty intimidating, I'll need some time for that one.

seems like the maxims and finnish tank machine guns are bugged, they keep looping the sound from the very beginning giving it an odd sound

Once Liberation DLC goes on sale for a big discount I'm probably gonna nab it immediately. When that happens I'm definitely adding sounds for American guns. While I'm at it, maybe I'll change engine sounds too.

Lol yeah, the MGs do get pretty annoying. Sometimes it just bugs out especially for high RoF weapons like the quad Maxim and MG42. It ain't perfect, but glad you enjoy the rest

Maybe you'll write a constructive review as an experienced modder yourself and help other modders understand how to do it better and efficiently, instead of being so harsh and a smart aleck... You don't know how long this guy has modded for, so grab him under the arms. :sans:

It must be pointed out that compared to Goh, Robz still doesn't use a lot of voice acting (only slightly more than Mow's voice acting), so "I was pretty underwhelming by the repetitive voicelines" is not a very appropriate comparative evaluation,

Yeah, I'm aware of just how uncomfortably loud the mod is (I tried playing a few normal games and it broke my ears the first time too). Once I have more time, I'll find a way to lower the volume across the board, but for now, cranking down your Effects volume in-game should keep it under control.

As for the sounds themselves, editing them individually to increase echo and muffle is going to take a really long time (there's hundreds of files I'd have to change; almost every single infantry weapon has over 25 different files associated with it). I probably won't do that because it's quite a lot of work and busy irl things keep me occupied.
