It's awesome to hear you're back, Tristavius!
Aggelus 13 Jan, 2021 @ 10:53am
Thank you, I will start recovering your ships soon.

Sure! Usual credit/link and you're quite free to do whatever :D

I recently picked up SE after a verrrry long break. The new DLC parts have given it a new lease of life for me and I have been getting a lot of things up to modern standards. Haven't started the Ifrit yet though - big job!

Ola Tristavius would like to ask your permission to send some of your oldest work.
Especially the worlds that are no longer opening.
Thanks.

what skybox did you use for this world? I really wanna know. And the ship looks pretty good too.

Of course the Ifrit is the preferred target for PMWs; if you aim for excellence, you must aim -at- excellence. ;)

On the forums the Ifrit has becomes the de-facto standard for PMW testing - there's just something about it that seems to make everyone want to blow it up! Guess I'll choose to take it as a compliment :P

Crew is always going to be a matter of debate; some of the main builders only actually consider a couple even on a large vessel, assuming that the crew will be more or less a token to supplement the ships own systems. I'm at the other end of the scale, following more of a BSG/Star Wars approach of having a very manual input at all stages. The Ifrit in fact actually fell below my intended crew numbers (there just simply wasn't the space in the awkward hull).

All just lore fluff of course!

Woo. Won't you mind if I take it for testing of my heavy torpedoes for my bomber? While they do punch through 30 layers of heavy armor and shred an Argentavis from nose to butt, they still didn't see actual combat employment against properly-built battleship.

P.S. I think that you've gone seriously overboard with crew number and consoles. I believe that the weaponry shall be split into 2 or 4 groups, and put under mass-control script such as GFCS, so the whole arsenal can be used and targeted by four people at maximum.

Thank you Sir, have fun testing your weapons on her :P

You know, the Ifrit has always been beautiful, but looking at it again in DX11 (despite DX11's flaws in SE) helps bring that out even better. Something about the improved lighting helps you see how much effort you put into its shape.

Still just as fantastic as ever. *raises glass*
