Np, I'm glad you did.
Have fun!

Awesome. I have now found it. Many thanks.
primkup  [author] 3 Jun @ 1:11pm
@papa_whisky
Howdy, it should be in your campaign list.
papa_whisky 3 Jun @ 12:47pm
I might be being dumb, but I can't find the SP missions anywhere having subscribed and activated the mod.

I'm very glad you like it.
Engicop 25 May @ 8:16am
Awesome! This is the closest thing we can get to a Vietcong remaster. Looking forward to the other campaigns.

@primkup
thanks i try it
primkup  [author] 24 May @ 4:41am
@li8076335
That's up to player.
For example, my AI skill is set to 0.8 and its accuracy to 0.5
I use this for all campaigns I play, both vanilla and user-made.

But no matter what difficulty you prefer, never forget:
Objective markers must be always turned on!
li8076335 24 May @ 3:48am
and how to set the difficulty fpr the best experience in sp?
primkup  [author] 23 May @ 3:53am
@li8076335
Howdy. It shouldn't be the case, but I cannot completely refute it.
Just to be sure, I removed two AI mods from the collection.

Thanks for mentioning this.
li8076335 23 May @ 3:32am
hi primkup, the ai mods in your recommended collection will conflict with johnnyboy's sog ai in sp campaign?
primkup  [author] 19 May @ 1:01pm
@Wolfowitz
Thank you!
Wolfowitz 19 May @ 12:59pm
Brilliant!
primkup  [author] 17 May @ 1:46am
@Gopan
Thank you, I'm glad to hear it.
Currently, I plan to remake only the Vietcong series into Arma 3, since I have to redo everything manually and that takes a lot of time. Besides, the Vietcong games are abandonware, but Men of War: Vietnam is still actively being sold, which could get me into legal trouble.
Gopan 16 May @ 4:03pm
Perfect work!!! Everything works well. I had a great pleasure playing your masterpiece. There was also a game Men of War: Vietnam and maybe you can also transfer 2 of its campaigns to Arma3.
primkup  [author] 10 May @ 10:58am
@kenoxite
Howdy. Although the chance of this happening is very small, I am aware that this can happen in some rare cases. Sadly, helicopters are kinda problematic to handle in every Arma game, and there is no completely bulletproof solution to this.

In my experience, the most likely reason is the danger near the landing zone, or reload during the landing sequence.

If this happens, you don't have to reload. Simply order your team to board the helicopter, which will force it to land at the nearest suitable location. Once you're in, the heli will move to the next waypoint.

Thanks for playing and for your feedback.
kenoxite 10 May @ 9:21am
Great job!

Had some problems with the exfil helo landing in the final mission. It never landed and had to reload a save to make it work. It was either our group being too close to the LZ or the helo being distracted by nearby enemies. Maybe a new waypoint for a "standby" in a nearby crater would fix the first. As for the second, well, it's Arma being Arma, I guess. That would require even more babysitting of the helo.

As said, good job, in any case. I can't imagine the amount of hours, sweat and tears this cost you :D
Soapbox0331 10 May @ 8:31am
Great mission! I forgot how much I enjoyed the original Vietcong game.
primkup  [author] 8 May @ 4:18am
@li8076335
Yes, Savage Game Design did a really good job creating those assets.
li8076335 8 May @ 4:15am
I could say it is Vietcong Remastered in ArmA3 and i think the uniform and equipment are more realistic and historical than the original game
primkup  [author] 7 May @ 7:24am
@[ZSU] Martin
Thank you for your kind words.

That was fucking Incredible, best Single Player Campaign on the workshop I have ever Played
primkup  [author] 1 May @ 12:57am
@Can we uh..whip this gron
Thank you.
Although the original VC game is no longer available for purchase, you can still find it somewhere online. I fully recommend for you to try it one day, it aged incredibly well!
FMJ 30 Apr @ 9:58pm
Great campaign! I never played the original VC, but this was really fun and immersive to play.
primkup  [author] 30 Apr @ 1:06pm
@Sgt Rothmans
Thank you for your kind words, it always means a lot to hear positive feedback! :FIA:
The other campaign will be a little bit longer (16 missions), but it's definitely gonna come out this year as well.
Sgt Rothmans 30 Apr @ 10:57am
Just finished this and it was great, extremely well made and really fun. I never played the original VC: fist alpha I only played VC: Purple Haze on xbox so this was a great way to experience the storyline for the first time. Looking forward to the next one, hope it's going well.
primkup  [author] 29 Apr @ 12:42am
@Gwnf5066
I'll do my best to make it happen, mate. :emofdr:
Gwnf5066 28 Apr @ 5:55pm
@Primkup I'm looking forward to it! I would love to replay the entire campaign through Arma :)
primkup  [author] 28 Apr @ 10:21am
@li8076335
Howdy. While I agree that what you say makes sense, I tried to be "somewhat" faithful to the original games. To make it more clear...

M2 Carbine:
- Not present in any VC game (VC, VC:FA, VC2)
- As such, not present in my Fist Alpha campaign
- Added mid-game to my Vietcong campaign for balance

M16:
- Not present in the Vietcong: Fist Alpha game
- As such, not present in my Fist Alpha campaign
- It's first canon appearance is in the "Brush and Sweep" mission in the Vietcong game
- As such, added in Mission 7 in my Vietcong campaign

The developers justified this decision with poor logistics.
I decided to stay true to that logic in Fist Alpha, to offer a different kind of experience to the player.

And to be fair, when I'll make Vietcong 2, it will be a total gunfest.
li8076335 28 Apr @ 9:43am
@primkup we can mix m1 and m2 carbine in vietcong original campaign and fist-alpha;and in fist-alpha maybe we can choose m16s because m16s was issued to US SF in 1965-1966
primkup  [author] 28 Apr @ 1:55am
@TT
Yes, that makes sense. You basically rewritten my mission and in doing so, you removed the 3den features.

Add me to your friend list, I'll DM you about the voice lines.
TT 28 Apr @ 1:53am
@primkup

Also, I noticed that in your mission, besides the scripted dialogue from your code, the normal voice communications between characters (such as team members talking to each other) seem to have been removed. Even after I added the artillery support module from the Vietnam DLC, the built-in voice lines for requesting support were missing as well.
I'm curious, what code did you use to achieve this? I would like to learn how to do it.
TT 28 Apr @ 1:47am
@primkup

I figured out what happened. I edited your mission without loading the "3den Enhanced" mod, adding the artillery support module from the Vietnam DLC (I thought a little bit of "cheating" would make the single-player mission more interesting), and then saved the mission. This caused the issues I described earlier. Later, I loaded the "3den Enhanced" mod and re-saved the mission, and the problems were resolved.
So thank you for your reply — you were right, the "3den Enhanced" mod does not cause any dependency issues. Sorry for wasting your time.
primkup  [author] 28 Apr @ 12:56am
@TT
Btw, were you using some other mods which are not required items or in my collection of mods?
primkup  [author] 28 Apr @ 12:24am
@TT
This is very strange, I haven't seen this problem before and I playtested every mission (including their COOP version) without 3den activated. But since this happened in your case, it may happen to other people as well. Just to be sure, I will add it as a dependency.

Thank you for telling me and have a good day!
TT 27 Apr @ 11:31pm
@primkup

The issue I encountered is that if I don't load the "3den Enhanced" mod, the option to drag the pilot does not appear after encountering him in the first mission. Once the mod is loaded, the option becomes available. Additionally, there are problems with character animations not playing correctly. Of course, this might just be an issue on my end.
primkup  [author] 27 Apr @ 5:50pm
@Gwnf5066
Vietcong SP will come out this year as well, I promise!
Gwnf5066 27 Apr @ 5:32pm
I'm waiting for Vietcong SP!
primkup  [author] 27 Apr @ 4:59am
@TT
3den doesn't cause a dependency, so I don't think it's necessary.
But if you want to elaborate, feel free to do so.
primkup  [author] 27 Apr @ 4:56am
@Komodo
It doesn't.
Komodo 27 Apr @ 4:47am
@TT
i thought 3den enhanced doesn't cause a dependency
TT 27 Apr @ 3:24am
@primkup

The task is quite good, but you really should use the "3den Enhanced" mod as a dependency. Without the "3den Enhanced" mod, the completion of the storyline flow might be affected.

Uvidim. Skusim najskor tuto ENG verziu.

Děkuji! Tohle je anglická verze.
Pokud máš zájem o tu s českým dabingem, která se vydávala u nás a u vás, tak tu mám taky. :emofdr:

@-L1ch
It's funny that this project started as a purely private matter.
I was trying to get one of my friends into Arma, so I realized the best way to do it would be to recreate our favorite game in it. The VC games are truly wonderful and have aged very well.
