Thanks, mate.
I'm glad you like it!
Np, I'm glad you did.
Have fun!
Howdy, it should be in your campaign list.
I'm very glad you like it.
thanks i try it
That's up to player.
For example, my AI skill is set to 0.8 and its accuracy to 0.5
I use this for all campaigns I play, both vanilla and user-made.
But no matter what difficulty you prefer, never forget:
Objective markers must be always turned on!
Howdy. It shouldn't be the case, but I cannot completely refute it.
Just to be sure, I removed two AI mods from the collection.
Thanks for mentioning this.
Thank you!
Thank you, I'm glad to hear it.
Currently, I plan to remake only the Vietcong series into Arma 3, since I have to redo everything manually and that takes a lot of time. Besides, the Vietcong games are abandonware, but Men of War: Vietnam is still actively being sold, which could get me into legal trouble.
Howdy. Although the chance of this happening is very small, I am aware that this can happen in some rare cases. Sadly, helicopters are kinda problematic to handle in every Arma game, and there is no completely bulletproof solution to this.
In my experience, the most likely reason is the danger near the landing zone, or reload during the landing sequence.
If this happens, you don't have to reload. Simply order your team to board the helicopter, which will force it to land at the nearest suitable location. Once you're in, the heli will move to the next waypoint.
Thanks for playing and for your feedback.
Had some problems with the exfil helo landing in the final mission. It never landed and had to reload a save to make it work. It was either our group being too close to the LZ or the helo being distracted by nearby enemies. Maybe a new waypoint for a "standby" in a nearby crater would fix the first. As for the second, well, it's Arma being Arma, I guess. That would require even more babysitting of the helo.
As said, good job, in any case. I can't imagine the amount of hours, sweat and tears this cost you :D
Yes, Savage Game Design did a really good job creating those assets.
Thank you for your kind words.
Thank you.
Although the original VC game is no longer available for purchase, you can still find it somewhere online. I fully recommend for you to try it one day, it aged incredibly well!
Thank you for your kind words, it always means a lot to hear positive feedback!
The other campaign will be a little bit longer (16 missions), but it's definitely gonna come out this year as well.
I'll do my best to make it happen, mate.
Howdy. While I agree that what you say makes sense, I tried to be "somewhat" faithful to the original games. To make it more clear...
M2 Carbine:
- Not present in any VC game (VC, VC:FA, VC2)
- As such, not present in my Fist Alpha campaign
- Added mid-game to my Vietcong campaign for balance
M16:
- Not present in the Vietcong: Fist Alpha game
- As such, not present in my Fist Alpha campaign
- It's first canon appearance is in the "Brush and Sweep" mission in the Vietcong game
- As such, added in Mission 7 in my Vietcong campaign
The developers justified this decision with poor logistics.
I decided to stay true to that logic in Fist Alpha, to offer a different kind of experience to the player.
And to be fair, when I'll make Vietcong 2, it will be a total gunfest.
Yes, that makes sense. You basically rewritten my mission and in doing so, you removed the 3den features.
Add me to your friend list, I'll DM you about the voice lines.
Also, I noticed that in your mission, besides the scripted dialogue from your code, the normal voice communications between characters (such as team members talking to each other) seem to have been removed. Even after I added the artillery support module from the Vietnam DLC, the built-in voice lines for requesting support were missing as well.
I'm curious, what code did you use to achieve this? I would like to learn how to do it.
I figured out what happened. I edited your mission without loading the "3den Enhanced" mod, adding the artillery support module from the Vietnam DLC (I thought a little bit of "cheating" would make the single-player mission more interesting), and then saved the mission. This caused the issues I described earlier. Later, I loaded the "3den Enhanced" mod and re-saved the mission, and the problems were resolved.
So thank you for your reply — you were right, the "3den Enhanced" mod does not cause any dependency issues. Sorry for wasting your time.
Btw, were you using some other mods which are not required items or in my collection of mods?
This is very strange, I haven't seen this problem before and I playtested every mission (including their COOP version) without 3den activated. But since this happened in your case, it may happen to other people as well. Just to be sure, I will add it as a dependency.
Thank you for telling me and have a good day!
The issue I encountered is that if I don't load the "3den Enhanced" mod, the option to drag the pilot does not appear after encountering him in the first mission. Once the mod is loaded, the option becomes available. Additionally, there are problems with character animations not playing correctly. Of course, this might just be an issue on my end.
Vietcong SP will come out this year as well, I promise!
3den doesn't cause a dependency, so I don't think it's necessary.
But if you want to elaborate, feel free to do so.
It doesn't.
i thought 3den enhanced doesn't cause a dependency
The task is quite good, but you really should use the "3den Enhanced" mod as a dependency. Without the "3den Enhanced" mod, the completion of the storyline flow might be affected.
Děkuji! Tohle je anglická verze.
Pokud máš zájem o tu s českým dabingem, která se vydávala u nás a u vás, tak tu mám taky.
It's funny that this project started as a purely private matter.
I was trying to get one of my friends into Arma, so I realized the best way to do it would be to recreate our favorite game in it. The VC games are truly wonderful and have aged very well.
