I am going to try and knock some stuff out over the weekend if I can.
I think the mod will be more compatible with other things once i clean it up.
Trying a Spirits campaign now. The "overview" button for the Jungles of Chi'an doesn't function. The Offices are empty, but has a lord named Zaltothios that isn't in the recruit pool. There's no way to hire anything that Cernunnos buffs. Defenders of the Great Plan gives a trade agreement. No Forest Health from the starter Beastmen, modded Wyrmkin, or DotGP. Kelledria in Wai-Li Village and a nearby Gnoblar Horde did give Forest Health.
Six turns in, there's been no crashes from recruiting the Glade Guard and fighting autoresolve or manual battles with them. The Withering spell is labeled as just "Hex" and is affecting all enemies in range.
I am thinking i just might remove all aspects of the mod except the LL. that should hopefully fix it, and make it more compatible with other mods in the long run. but that is going to take time.
in the mean time can anyone play a spirits campaign and see if you can get the crash to trigger as them as the player faction. I don't have time at the moment due to work to really dive into a play test for the faction.
Install the console mod:

Load your game. Open the console with the new icon in the top left. Run the "diplo" command to reveal all factions. End your turn - now you should be able to see who it crashes on.
Reload a save before Diplo was used. Run "fff" to turn off fog of war. Go over and click on an army or a town owned by the faction that was crashing the game. Now run the "killf" command to eliminate their faction.
Now you can turn fog of war back on with "fow on", save your game, and hopefully proceed without the game hanging during your end turn.
This is the only work around at this time, but please verify here what faction is crashing.
Note: for me to completely remove the faction it will take a few solid days of going through tables to ensure references to things are completely gone.
I noticed several characters do not have unit cards in the Unit Roster menu, the only have question marks.

The crash on turn 2 should be fixed as it hasn't happened to me running minimum mods or 300 after i have made the changes here.
l if the above fixes do not work we can call them brokes, just let me know here lol

Note: the changes will break saves so if you have an ongoing campaign create a back up of this mod before I push the update out.

You can disable most of the factions but only a few are conflicting hard.
is this MCT compatible?
it's so I can disable some lords for Compatibility. I have Mixu's Legendary Lords, Legendary Characters, Tribes of the North, and others.
might conflict with this mod
It seems like Cryswar was trying to create a khrone-slanesh faction using The Brazen Throne on the South Pole. The tables are still in, conflicting with some other mods (LC and a landmark mod for sure). I think these tables are redundant (i don't know a lot about moding).
So if they are inded redundant then you can delete the rows associated with brazen throne. I saw some rows in building tables (giving them slanesh buildings) and in units and agents tables too.
Hope that will help to make this great mod a bit more stable and compatible.
can you run the console mod and use the diplo command be for you hit end turn to see what faction it is. Because if its not the Shanlin faction it might be something going on with your install data.
No idea if this will help temporarily.

I have re enabled Cernunnos in my testing and the LL seems fine, as i didnt get any crashed after fully loading his skill points with console.
