@Megademon57 thank you for your clear bugreport. I will fix this issue with the next update.

@Stolt CAS with nukes, sounds great 😃. You can't change the CAS plane speed, I need to test if to make this an setting would be a smart idea.

@sir.ghostington yes & no. You can't use the actionmenu entry while controlling a drone but you can call CAS on the map in the Mod description tab.

Great mod, one of the bests, but...

I found a problem, when you load a game the CAS doesn't work. It says that the "mdhfncCASWeapons not found". If you can fix this I would be very gratefull.

Hey man, I took a break from arma but now I'm back and I'm still loving this mod! Thanks for making the rolling cas and broken arrow feature!

Just wondering, what is the speed of the aircraft? Is it possible to customize the speed to (e.g. have aircraft got at 400, 600, 750 or 900 or 1000 kmph)?

Or would that make it too difficult for the aircraft to lock on in time to launch missiles/drop bombs accurately?

@commando008 can't reproduce your lags, tested with 50 USAF Fighters and no lag for me. you can try to set the option "Set CAS actionmenu entry for save plane" to deactivate.

@John Democracy if you called CAS and want to abort it, after calling set the options
"Set behaviour when no red smoke found" = abort CAS
"Set CAS call mode" = direct at red smoke
"Set CAS arrival time in sec" = 15
then it should abort in a few seconds. after that set the options back to your needs.

can confirm for me at least its causing lag on modded aircraft like USAF Fighters, and Firewills. any solution to fix this issue, it stops having lag and stutters when i remove the mod. id like to use this mod but the lag for me and my friends is too much

seems to be causing bad lag when standing next to a modded plane, i think its because the plane is being used as a cas option

CAS call only with specific item: set variable mdhCASModNeededItemToCall, to e.g. = "B_UavTerminal"


@John Democracy
- Rolling CAS mean, player call CAS one time and after arrival + timeout(standard 1 min) it's calling automatically the next CAS until no enemy targets left (No need to manually call CAS again when targets left at the AAO)

- BROKEN ARROW mean, player call CAS one time and after arrival + 30sec it's calling automatically every 30 sec the next CAS until 9 planes unloaded or no enemy targets left (Its an emergency call to quick bring large firepower down to the ground)

@Epsilon 11 no DLC needed to use the mod. try to use only the CAS mod and see if the problem still exists for you. i cant reproduce this "error" and i cant fix what i can not reproduce.

update 2025-06-06: added support of USAF AC130

some people frequently asked for it so. when you start arma 3 with USAF AC130 Mod loaded and call in the Gunship it will now spawn the AC130 instead of the Blackfish

have you ever thought of making Drone CAS using fpv drones or any of the default drones in Arma. I dont like controlling them preferring to be a ground pounder but I like when I see them go boom.

Honestly if you left the mod as it is it would be one of the great mods ever but that being said I've got another suggestion:

Multiple CAS planes supporting at the same time.

Either coming in from the same direction, or from opposition directions!

Another suggestion: Rolling CAS support. You call in a broken arrow, and CAS support jets arrive automatically until you call them off!

change voicelanguage is possible since update 2025-05-06. The Number to save plane 1,2,3 is used when you choose your plane in the Moddescription tab set CAS planetype: PLANE 1, PLANE 2, PLANE 3

Really great job responding to the requests and constantly updating the mod! I'd also like to make the following requests:

1. No rush, but I hope that in the future there will be an option to change the voice lines depending on the side of the caller (BLUFOR, REDFOR, INDFOR).

2. Compatibility with the V-44X Blackfish Gunship allowing caller to request for loitering CAS at a certain number of minutes within a certain radius.

I'm also wondering what is the numbering of the side for when saving a CAS plane loadout (i.e. Save as MDH CAS Plane West 1,2,3)?

So far every CAS plane use the AGM missiles, 2 different type of bombs and the main gun of the plane. now i will implement that the plane also use the unguided rocket pods and also every machinegun mounted on pylons. after that i will see if i can get the Napalm bombs of Prairie Fire to work.

It would be great to have a custom plane loadouts as well!

Currently say, if I want to use your mod with RHS, I need to get RHS + Project RACS/SLA because none of the RHS planes have AGM's by default, except for the Project SLA Mig-27. Also, none of the CUP planes have AGM's either which so I have to use vanilla planes as a workaround. Generally this isn't an issue as shown above I've found a workaround - but if we could set custom loadouts for planes to use with MDH CAS then that would be a great QOL improvement!

If this is something you've already done then let me know because I've been busy with work so I haven't played your mod since last week!

@Zafuzzie set CAS call mode to red smoke in the moddescription tab an it will attack the nearest target to the red smoke
