@WaddleKing Well... Yes. It's honestly hard to put ideologies in generalist boxes like "pro-war" and "anti-war" sometimes. Plenty of ideologies would be either depending on the circumstances, but that seems beyond what the mod currently does... So, since there is precedent for Vanguardist being "pro-war" (the Soviet Union) and it would be lame to literraly be the Soviet Union in-game and having your ideological base be against every single war... Then I think keeping Vanguardist is good lol

Anarchists should definitely be anti-war though. That's like the one socialist group who would be anti-war 90% of the time.

i removed the socialists and communists after i updated dismantling, i kept vanguardism because from what i can tell its like communism but dictatorshipy

Happy to help! And yeah, I'm not speaking from the perspective "pro-war" means "warmonger" haha
But still, socialists in general were almost never pro-war. It would only make sense with defensive wars and if the war has some ideological goal (or even some other niche cases, like being a council republic and attacking a capitalist nation, since that could be seen as "spreading the revolution"). But in a generalist sense, socialists are pacificists. Class over nation and all that.

thats interesting, ill admit politics is not my strong point. i do think you are right in this case, socialists shouldnt be pro war. also pro war in this case more means support this state in the war rather than like loving war

I was looking at war support triggers for IG and movements to make a patch to include ideologies from PEC, a mod that changes ideologies and IGs quite a bit, and I noticed an oddity:

Socialist and other leftist ideologies are considered "pro war" when I'd say they shoudn't. Historically speaking, socialists were quite anti-war. I think IGs with leftist ideologies (especially anarchists) shouldn't add to war support unless the war was defensive or specifically about furthering some ideological goal.

Maybe there are other factors the mod considers (I haven't looked into it too much and I'm no real modder), but I thought I should point that out anyway.

unfortunately i dont think disabling white peaces specifically for an article wargoal is possible right now, (maybe in future).
for the bidirectional dismantling the AI should add the wargoal (if they have the tech), and i dont think they should get it for free and not have to pay maneuvers and infamy cost.
it kinda sucks rn that we have to do all cb modding through treaties since wargoals are still not changeable at all pretty much

I think that the dismantle empire cb should prevent white peaces and be a both way thing if possible (so if the person starting the war loses they get dismantled) since i dont think any great power would allow an opponent that publically stated they intend to utterly destroy them and their empire to get away with it should the coin flip

upped the percent, and already existing formables shouldnt be in there but PBC slipped through since its technically not a formable you do it through a journal entry (i think, i havent played peru)

I think you'd have to look into every tag and change "required_states_fraction =" or the state requirements themselves to make sense to the tag. Making it 0.5 for every single one might be a bad idea

It is, actually. It's PBC. I removed the file (and the folder) and that fixed it forming at game start

the point is for countries released by dismantling to become real countries (with their own colour), so yeah pretty much its safe to remove but the map will be a little uglier. although maybe 0.5 was too small

What would be the reason for the "01_everything_formable.txt" changes? It's causing Peru-Bolivia to form at game start because of "required_states_fraction = 0.5". That may also cause contry formation to be much easier in general, maybe? It would make it inconsistent with new formables added by other mods maybe.

What is the purpose of those changes? Are they safe to just remove?

there should be a little description that says why, its usually because they want a large number of your states that are your homelands or want to support their own culture in a secession

goated mod, germany dismantled austria when the unification was legit at a knifes edge and its really made the geopolical situation more dynamic (austrias gdp is like 600k)

war exemption? i assume you mean the service exemption but this mod doesnt change that, do you have more info? also error logs dont really tell you what crashed since they write after something has been run

Please Please Pleasee make it so protectorates from the make protectorate sway cannot, as a war leader, peace out even if our faction is winning just because they were occupied for too long, maybe add a decision or way to BECOME the war leader just like it would be automatically done in other paradox titles, it's also super unrealistic.

love every part of this mod except for how horrible it makes devastation, basically makes any small-ish frontline nation guranteed to suffer population collapse if any war happens, especially the balkans
