They're in a few spots, there's one just before the ambush encounter at White Forest Inn, Alyx will even approach the body and go "This could be Combine handiwork, hard to tell though, there's so many ways to die out here"

@Cursed

Oh so thats where they are? I'll take a look today but, considering the bloody variants are so barely visible, I don't think I'd want to bother with recompiling them again.
Cursed Hawkins 15 Jul @ 2:20am
@Forlorn
You might not have been paying that much attention because, they're behind the glass before you first encounter the Hunters with that scripted sequence at the beginning of EP2, but I don't blame you for not noticing the hanging corpse when said Hunter is right next to it before it dashes off.
ForlornBuccaneer69  [author] 15 Jul @ 1:55am
@Cursed

That's weird, never seen them in-game. I just instinctively assumed they were unused models left in the game.
Cursed Hawkins 14 Jul @ 4:37pm
@Forlorn
The model Dupe's talking about is exclusively seen in Episode 2, usually before an encounter.
The Dupe 14 Jul @ 4:10pm
But I could go around episode 2 and some modded campaigns to see if there are some.
The Dupe 14 Jul @ 3:54pm
@ForlornBuccaneer69

Honestly, I don't know, only place I've seen them was on that one model testing map, but they have to be somewhere officially or unofficially, right?
ForlornBuccaneer69  [author] 14 Jul @ 3:17pm
@The Dupe

To be honest, I kinda forgot they existed, because I failed to encounter them at all in my testing.

I don't know if I'll replace them, but just to be safe: can You tell me where have you encountered them? Meaning, the name of the map and circumstances.
The Dupe 14 Jul @ 1:55pm
Do you plan on also changing the bloody rebel models. If not, that's fine, they just look kinda out of place with this mod installed.
Cursed Hawkins 27 Jun @ 4:50am
@Jordan
Please refer to the description for the WHY and it's likely not going to be easily fixed because of how the backgrounds are loaded first before any mods.
soldier jordan 6 Jun @ 4:37pm
one of them shows a no texture
Mr. Blue 2 Jun @ 4:11pm
@ForlornBuccaneer69 can you make bodygroups for the texture variants instead of the dumb rng thing. its never the right variation I try to get, usually takes me 20 minutes to find the right uniform design. you gave the metrocop and soldier replacements bodygroup features so why not give these guys bodygroups?

@Forlorn
If you hadn't tested EP2 yet, don't bother because I just encountered the same error problem with the pre-placed rebel corpses so any of the White Forest screens WILL cause the same errors.
Cursed Hawkins 9 May @ 6:35am
@Forlorn
So, I did a test of one of the EP1 menu screens that has dead combine soldiers in it (you know that plaza like screen with the Strider in the background like the scene in the actual game) strangely enough your Combine replacement mod didn't cause any errors so now I'm wondering if there's something about the material for the citizens model that's the specific cause, because I've been seeing that people are mentioning on mods that change the material for the forcefields seems to have an adverse effect on the citizens.
BonkGlurios_125 9 May @ 5:26am
the only thing i see is poland
Svijj 8 May @ 8:59am
If I may suggest something, maybe you could recolor the Combine machines (scanner, hopper mines, turrets, etc) to military dark green color, to match the PWL livery? I think this would be a good solution and would make these models more consistent with everything else

Having rebels with helmets is so nice, I wish there were more mods like this that added em
ForlornBuccaneer69  [author] 8 May @ 12:37am
@Cursed Hawkins

No I didn't, since I havent replaced the regular Zombie yet
Cursed Hawkins 7 May @ 7:29pm
Oh, Forlorn since I just thought of this, did you check if any of the EP1 and EP2 main menu screens caused similar problems? I know there's one in EP1 that has a dead zombie on it so any mods that change that model might cause similar errors for EP1.
ForlornBuccaneer69  [author] 7 May @ 4:43pm
*Default body texture
ForlornBuccaneer69  [author] 7 May @ 4:43pm
@Cursed Hawkins

That mod only changes the rebel body texture. Therefore it won't conflict. Besides, I made these models to use separate folders with separate textures
Cursed Hawkins 7 May @ 4:37pm
Wait Forlorn
Wouldn't this technically conflict with your propaganda mod since that mod has stuff related to the rebels?
Svervo. 7 May @ 8:13am
this is actually pretty good
Postal Medion 7 May @ 7:57am
what about zombies?
Cursed Hawkins 7 May @ 7:41am
@Forlorn
But what's ironic is that this ONLY applies to the citizens for the plaza screen, because remember you have mods that change the Civil Protection units, the Citadel and even the Breen Cast, all of which are visible on the same screen yet even with all of that, there's zero errors for those respective mods.
ForlornBuccaneer69  [author] 7 May @ 7:21am
@Cursed Hawkins

Thanks, this seems like a logical explaination. And also explains why it only affects the pre-placed corpses and not active NPCs.

Oh well, just another quirk of the new Workshop function...
HoovyGaming 7 May @ 7:17am
dude this is great! all the mods you made for this collection have been of great quality, remember to take a break if you need one, you dont wanna get burnt out
Cursed Hawkins 7 May @ 5:30am
So, I believe I figured out WHY the two mentioned loading screens seem to cause an issue with the pre-placed models and why the console gets spammed with errors for both the Winter Citizens pack and this pack, it's because the game DOESN'T load your mods immediately after booting, in L4D2 there's a grace period on the main menu screen where the game does a check of your mod folder to see if any need to be updated, after that your mods are loaded and ready to go.
This grace period doesn't exist in HL2 and since the Plaza and Street War visibly have citizens walking around, they load with their vanilla model and don't get to change to whatever model the Winter Citizens pack gives them.
