I can make a public match friendly version, if that suits your fancy, it isn't really particularly hard.

The host's game will forcefully synchronize clients with the it, one way or another.
They will just experience an awkward oddities with Charger animations, but will die quicker as well; no crashes because of it, just weird unsynced animations.
No, the two characters occupy the same slot with-in the game, therefore the Charger will pound them at the same rate.
