Notes say that "you don't need an FPS stabilizer"

I assume it's referencing this mod

@Dixie Flatline the game is CPU bound, not GPU bound. I'm not sure why you lead with having a RTX 4080 super then proceeding to not say your CPU when discussing rimworld performance?

why did this mod make it worse
THEZOLF 26 Jul @ 12:55am
ah, that explains why the mod wasn't auto changing my time speed anymore lol
The wise old man 25 Jul @ 8:47pm
thank you for this mod and the hard work just what I was looking for
eULB  [author] 25 Jul @ 8:44pm
So like, I really wish first-time users would check out all the different features in the mod options before using the mod, you know? 😊 But unfortunately, a lot of people don't realize what options are available and just start using it as-is, then get frustrated and delete the mod because it's not working how they want! 😭
That's why I updated it so that the most popular mod option settings are now pre-activated by default! That way everyone gets a better experience right from the start without having to dig through all the settings first! 💕✨

this made it worse

For what it's worth - the trade off for a much better fps rate is an occasional stutter, but the trade off is worth it.
Dixie Flatline 19 Jul @ 12:11pm
La Blue I respectfully disagree in this:

I have a 4080 super rig, custom job - pretty powerful.

My map was crazy large so on fast forward I got like 22 FPS.

Your mod has REALLY, REALLY REALLY helped my performance.

Sir, you give yourself too little credit - you're a god among men.

Thanks man, great stuff!

Winetoo // use WorstAllowedFPS option!
Winetoo 13 Jul @ 5:09am
Thank you for making this!
I would love if this mod would let me control amount of TPS reduction. Would it be possible to have for instance a slider, that lets me pick how much TPS at minimum i want? I play at around 600 (from another mod) and jumping to 60 every time i touch camera control feels kinda weird.

※ senpai, notice me! ※
I'm sorry to say that this mod won't work if your computer has very HIGH PERFORMANCE. Hey, I totally get it—sometimes games can feel a bit LAGGY when you're using a computer with less LOW SPECS or if you've been playing the same SAVE FILE for a while. This mod is awesome at helping to fix that lag and make your gaming experience smoother. This is because this mod doesn't generate extra performance, but rather optimizes performance and play quality.

You save my game.
eULB  [author] 21 Jun @ 5:55am
It is compatible with "FrameRateControl", although this mod does not have the ability to set a maximum FPS.
Andreas 20 Jun @ 3:21pm
Does this mod allow you to set a MAX FPS as well? There's a mod called FrameRateControl which offers this functionality, but I can't imagine it being compatible with this mod.

Matvey24 // Finding your 'WorstAllowedFPS' method was an amazing discovery :)
Matvey24 14 Jun @ 6:22am
As I understand, you do, what FPS Stabilizer does, when user do some actions, and you do the opposite, when user does nothing. Nice idea!
eULB  [author] 11 Jun @ 1:30pm
We can also use it in version 1.6!
OcN.Helbrecht 7 Jun @ 12:04pm
Is there a way to have it active at all times without needing to do anything.
Scarlet Ice 31 May @ 5:39am
When using this mod, I noticed that pawns occasionally move slower in 3x speed, then speed up. also, the grass and plant kept switching orientation in 3x speed
Bunuffin 22 May @ 6:23am
there is nothing to respond to, it works better than vanilla, just reporting it :P

It removes the click + drag problem unity has in this game
eULB  [author] 22 May @ 6:09am
Bunuffin // Oh sorry. Linux seems to be difficult to respond quickly, not my system. Let's find out as much as possible.
Bunuffin 22 May @ 5:50am
"include Mouse Actions" seems to fix the issue on linux that makes the game lag to hell when dragging, thanks!
eULB  [author] 20 May @ 10:37pm
VIN // However, that's not the mod's intention. The purpose of this mod is to immediately alleviate the discomfort caused by low FPS by slightly utilizing TPS and focusing on FPS at the moment the player is significantly impacted, thereby providing a smoother experience. It is not the purpose of preventing Drop TPS.
eULB  [author] 20 May @ 10:11pm
VIN // Enable Change-over WorstAllowedFPS method you will be Satisfaction :)
vin 20 May @ 8:42pm
For anyone curious it works well, slows down the game whenever you pan the camera around at 2-3x speed and prevents skipping and sudden TPS drops. It works as described. Its particularly useful if you're panning at high speeds fully zoomed out (especially with simple camera settings).

I just think that it can be too responsive and immediately slows down the game speed with even small camera adjustments. If there was a bit of a threshold I think the mod would be improved significantly. When zoomed in at 3x speed TPS drops aren't much of an issue and don't feel right being slowed down as well.

Rowan Skye // FPS Stabilizer is no longer needed; it is replaced by higher perfomance.
Rowan Skye 20 May @ 9:03am
Do you mean FPS Stabilizer mod or are you saying that you no longer need mods like Performance Fish, Performance Optimizer, and other fps improving mods?
eULB  [author] 20 May @ 5:01am
The WorstAllowedFPS method has been added. If you're bothered by how time scale changes, you should definitely try this option—you'll be very satisfied. And no longer compatible with FPS stabilizers.
eULB  [author] 20 May @ 1:10am
Now don't need an FPS stabilizer. This provides superior features compared to an FPS stabilizer. Check the mod settings.
[岗] Señiorita woofers 19 May @ 8:58pm
Guys this is just performance optimizer
Kokorocodon 19 May @ 12:29pm
ye
Kaschey 19 May @ 8:30am
As I understand from the description, it works only for speeds above 1, right?
eULB  [author] 18 May @ 10:11pm
It is compatible with an FPS stabilizer, but it is no longer needed at all. An FPS stabilizer constantly reduces the tick rate to secure FPS. This is not good for performance.
Kokorocodon 18 May @ 8:14pm
"What's the difference between this mod and FPS stabilizer mod?"

It's in the description

PiccoloDom 16 May @ 10:43pm
can i use this mod with Matvey24‘s FPS Stabilizer mod? or should I?
eULB  [author] 16 May @ 4:24pm
qux // That's a good idea.

I will add an option to switch to x1 speed when the architect menu is open or when using icons within the architect menu. When it's updated, please try enabling it in the mod settings.

Regarding the interference with the CameraSimpleSetting mod, it seems necessary to identify which factors are causing it. This issue might take some time to resolve.

Usually, when players activate the left/right mouse option, it's likely related to situations where they are building. Perhaps applying the update mentioned earlier (switching to x1 when the architect menu is open) will significantly resolve this.

It will take some time to update these improvements, so please wait.

If there are any other elements that need improvement, please let me know.
Nitsah 16 May @ 2:43pm
ignore the brainlet steamies. Going to test this out later. It's always a good thing when modders try to help with game performance.
晓山alreShan 16 May @ 10:11am
How surprising it works like a charm.
I didn't realize I put this mod into my modlist, until today noticed no fps lag after played a while
qux 16 May @ 7:15am
That's a great idea, thank you very much.

I only see one problem for now: when the "left/right mouse" option is enabled, and the game is at x3, if you click on x1 speed, the game instantly returns to x3; you have to press pause to return to x1.

Also, when the pawn tracking option is enabled (with CameraSimpleSetting, for example), the image jumps constantly unless you set the return speed to x3 to more than 0.5 seconds in mod option.

Also, perhaps add the ability to trigger x1 when the architect menu is open to the mod option? With many mod items, it's also very laggy.
Yefreitor 16 May @ 6:34am
I finally got around to testing it myself. It works as described. I also checked with Dubs Analyzer to see if there's any performance impact, and it's negligible. It uses about 0.002ms per update on average.

It feels like bullet time.
