Hey. maybe you can put up a discussion thread or something listing out all the possible items. Could be helpful if someone wants to save time instead of experiment. Or maybe show the description of the item you're hovering over in the training menu.

Commando gets op fast if you dont camp the chests. His side special into f-air is so good omg. Now I gotta see the rest of your characters lol

Use this guy to fight lvl 9 Duff McWhalen on Rivals of Fighters stage (the newer one) with turbo mode on.

I wish this guy had like a VERY small chance to get the 4 heresy items for a secret heretic form, or like it's a rune or something to let them be in the item pool, still, this guy is fun as hell to play

What does the Clover do here? As you said, every item effect isn't random. It also shows up next to your percent above your character, so it clearly is notable to remember. I can't actually figure out what it does though.

@Conway™ Main difference here is that since it's a two-player game, it's best if the opponent has some counterplay to item economy, and camping the chest is one of the few points of interaction there.
Still might end up loosening the cooldown window depending on how the next patch lands, though - item economy is definitely a bit weaker than we'd like it to be right now

funny ass character, you should be able to steal from other commandos tho, maybe after some time has elapsed you can grab other mando chests (maybe with a slower chest open animation?) like how SK's gems can be grabbed by other players shortly after spawning

would it be balanced or not if the hits countdown for the next chest allowed to begin counting down before opening the chest, like maybe the chest/multishop projectile spawning sets the hits requirement, and chests that miss the stage or are used as airstrike explosives with that one red item refund the hits requirement. and also some check that there's not already two interactibles before allowing another chest one to spawn. just stuck thinking about how much "enemy camping the chest" is a problem here, but has never really been a problem in any risk of rain version in my experience. something like "if it's just a regular chest and not a tri shop just touching the chest will open it" or something like not having to open the previous chest to make progress on the next, or both, looks good to me. but i am just one player of many, blah blah grain of salt, etc.:golem:

You gotta make sure there's an arrow above where you called for the backup. It'll go from three dots, to a small arrow, then a large arrow. Use down-b while the arrow is small to get a small loot chest. Keep in mind that even while they're small, they still have a chance to drop green or even red items.

photon jetpack appears to be usable in hitstun which is really a ridiculous defensive tool. please fix asap! ty for the wonderful mod

@junkey You can activate down-b prematurely to get common items! The chest drop is less of a timer and more like a charge move if you get me, the longer you let it sit the better chances are at a greater-quality items. You can tell what'll drop by the red arrow at the top of the screen, if it's small it'll be common, if it's big it'll be uncommon.

PEAM also dspecial recharge can be very long against characters built on having a powerful neutral game and some combos, with survivability as a weakness, you get very few resources. maybe what if multihits/full double tap counted all/both hits? maybe a white item like roll of pennies or piggybank or something idk

The game seems to lag progressively harder in Abyss mode the more items you get with Commando, but doesn't seem to slow down at all in normal games. I *think* it's because of all the sprites being drawn for your current item collection over the hud? If thats the case, would it be possible to simply hide the inventory just for abyss mode?

It would greatly help if you could implement some way to force the descriptions for the items to appear within the borders of a stage. When I grab an item while I'm too close to the stage's edge or am off-screen completely, the description will get cut off and leave me completely in the dark about what they do.

fyi lobby bricks when playing two commando games online in a row - unloading the character, then reloading them with a different skin seems to fix this
