@mael, i think so if you need to go above 100 building slots you will need to edit, author will correct me if i am wrong

Do you need to edit the file for any amount of city slots over 100? What if I "only" wanted 125 or 150, would that require the edit?

um you can also check for any possible comp patches that allow for lower resolutions? or ask if one exists in the UIOD workshop page, (i have not checked at all) , another options is to try and look at resolution scale, as an option? it may make things better or worse depending on that, i also got a mod for UIOD that improves the fonts resolution as well, so maybe it can be solvable if these options are available for you?

If I had to guess, mod somehow overrites vanilla detail of that specialisation of not having any building. Would've been nice to fix via exception

Understood. Guess I'll have to adapt to UIOD. Reason why I don't like it... I am using rather old display, and god it makes everything so cluttered on it. Probably people use it for those modern wide monitors, but on something smaller it is pretty much a downgrade

And no, regarding building slots - in vanilla those "extra farm/energy/mine" districts don't have any building slots at all. Yet your mod adds them

@Watchman, UIOD is a requirement, if you don't like it that's up to you, the mod is built off that as a base. IF you download the submod of your choice above - under the Mod Description:

If you Truly cant stand UIOD (which imo i don't understand but that's my bias) just make your own mod that accomplishes what you want.

为什么我的游戏只要一打这个mod就会崩溃,不是mod兼容问题,因为我试过只开UIOD以及BPV加这个mod三个mod依然会出现崩溃的现象:steamfacepalm:

Hey, I've been play with this mod, the 4 city zone one and the 10 building slots on the main city zone, I also have giga and UIOD, and the comp patch. It was working completely fine, but then I started a new game, and now I can't get the two extra urban zones to specialise. I have them in the recommended load order, then I tried shifting things around it it still isn't working, I was hoping you (or someone else) had any suggestions.

I've noticed a bug with Knights of the Toxic God, with the mod turned on, the habitat will only ever have 3 Districts regardless of this mod.
You can 'fix' this by just disabling the mod at the start, then turning it on after though.

I've also noticed when used with the Multiple Origins mod, sometimes the Order's Keep just won't spawn at all, and if it does, it'll only have 3 district slots instead of 4 as well. I'm not sure if that's an issue with Multiple Origins or here though.

Changes to District Specialization quantities require a new save file to take effect

I have been trying to increase the District Specializations limit to 15 by editing the files of this mod, and I have *almost* succeeded.

By editing the files in common\districts and common\inline_scripts\districts I have managed to make 15 slots for District Specializations show up... but if I already have 10 Specializations, then when I try to actually build an 11th one, it opens up the Specialization replacement menu instead of the Specialization construction menu.

Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? Is the limit of 10 District Specializations just hardcoded somewhere?

i tried just running the following mods:

1. UI Overhaul Dynamics
2. Better Planet view
3.bpv - more building slots
4.bpv - more building slots - 10 city slots
5.bpv - more building slots - Zone: 5 Building Slots
6.!! Universal Modifier Patch (4.0)
7. UI Overhaul Dynamic + Gigastructural Engineering

When i start the game, it loads to 100% and then it crashes, i cant even enter the game.

Before the Mods worked just fine

Real Machine worlds is not build for 4.0, and also 'might' cause issues with out of date settings, or cause issues in of itself

you also require the compat patches for UI OD and Giga possibly ACOT but have not checked that, and while the ACOT and Giga, can load prior to UIOD, the compat patches can be loaded after

you need to remove 4.0 Planet view edit, its over writing BPV more building slots, and infact is unneeded

Occurred to me to try changing planet class to something besides Machine World. That seems to work.

Perhaps the Compatibility patch should be loaded later.
According to my tests, the loading order appears irrelevant.
However, some users report it ceases to function when placed earlier.
I've updated the documentation accordingly.

Sorry for the question...but where should the loading order of the patches for this mod be loaded? After yours (in the descriptions you write other mods..do you mean like these?)?
The mods that you support like stellarrectulator array should be put after your mods or before?

增加建筑格子会导致城市特化的一产支持也有格子,电力和矿物支持可以造相应的堕落建筑,农业支持不行

I'm wondering if something can be done to make the AI actually build in those additional slots? After some testing, the AI doesn't seem to build anything except in the very first urban district (and even then it's mainly enforcers). I understand this may be outside the scope of this mod though.

今天偶然发现了新的bug,蠢驴真是无敌了,殖民地的区划会建着建着突然全部打乱,发电区划变成了城市区划(两个的位置直接互换了),采矿区划成了区域特化槽,农业区划直接消失了,遇到这种情况只要新建一个区划(任意一个都行)四种区划就会刷新回正常模样,但是你已经建好的建筑会全部消失,行星首府也会变成最基础的1级。然后我还纳闷着是不是我往点建筑了,再点了一遍,过个十分钟后回去看了一眼,又tm地全部打乱了,建筑全部消失了,刷新玩行星首府又变回1级了。
昨天玩的好好的,今天晚上才出现这种情况,我就回去看了一眼游戏版本,果不其然又更新到4.0.21了。
试了一遍,非原版的星球(像水瓶座的学院复合理想城)就不会出现这种问题,原本的所有宜居星球(包含环和理想城)全都会出现这种问题

For those who had the same issue as I did — a game crash when trying to specialize district zones on special planets like hive worlds —
after installing the Universal Zone Patch, I no longer experience any crashes.
