bro I would absolutely give you a handy if you made some hard sci-fi ships, I'm talking covered in CIWS and missile systems, maybe some railguns, that would be sweet

I've only had that when placing them too close to the ground, you can also use a command the order them to fly in a certain height, look up 'flyInHeight'.

for some reason the spaceships want to just nosedive into the ground when ai controlled. i spawn them in the air and give them a move marker and they decide that they need to aim straight down and bury themselves in the dirt. I'm sure theirs something stupid im missing that would fix this but im stumped.

A battleship in the sky would be terrifying, besides the Sci-fi mod, I haven't seen any ships of such an insane size be piloted before.

Yes that is a result of exactly that. You have to click on the "owner icon" in the pylon settings and cycle to the correct one. Though what it says in the overlay does not match up with how it is ingame, so requires some trial and error to get right.

Not sure if related to the KI "Editing vehicle attributes/pylons in the editor will screw up turret control, meaning you will need to set turret control under pylons again manually.
This is due to the pylon system being not exactly turret-friendly despite claiming to be so. Thanks BI..."
BUT: I exeperiencing weird behaviour while taking control of weapons stations. Basically I see the feed from one turret but, actually fire other turrets.

btw, noticed an oddity that also affects HAFM: when trying to embark a custom crew in the EDEN editor only two members (driver and gunner) will get in. Any idea what could be causing that?

I will not make helicopter versions. Not sure what you mean with the characteristics. They are extremely agile, but thats not something I want to do. I prefer these ships having some "weight" behind them and to handle accordingly.

Would it be possible to do the same ships with a Helicopter base instead? Or perhaps with the same flight characteristics as 3AS space craft? It would open up a lot more options to use them
