Its to much script work for Minor Settlements. It would take me over 200 Hours (And my Sanity). I have to script every single Settlement with a fitting Map and search their Key Ingame.

Im siegeing a province capital and it's giving me a vanilla siege map. I can only access the maps in skirmish, what did I do wrong?

I'm with Dog of War. Having a mod like this for minor settlements would be nice. It would make me actually want to garrison my little settlements and give me a break from the constant field battles. Plus the garrison infantry might actually have a chance.

What does important cities mean? Does larger cities for like tier 3 or something get the large fort? Would be cool to tie it toe the siege building maybe so that we can build a bigger fort in a city

@honk ive been using it with sfo and it works fine. Plus the mod doesn't change anything in sfo itself it just adds new maps to fight on :steamthumbsup:

Does SFO not make it work? I have SFO and this mod plus obviously base core mod. I am thinking why I have usual sieges.

I would love this in reverse, Fort Maps for Minor Settlements. Feels weird having a city shown on the map just for a battle to happen in an empty field.

Is there a version of this that only replaces smaller cities with Forts? It would be nice to keep the big cities siege maps while the smaller cities which usually are too open and wierd despite the defenses upgrade to use the medium fort/large fort instead.

I second sarumans suggestion, the forts badly need towers, maybe they can come as you upgrade the holdings?

Please add wall towers to the map, would actually give us a reason to build siege towers, would also not hurt the effectiveness of the walls upgrade buildings

@MichaelGFI: Hi thats normal. I havent created Fort for Chaos Warriors and Demons. I will add some medium and large Norscan Forts sometime.

It's not really working. I have tier V garrisons on skaven main cities and it's a wall-less tiny camp that is indefensible.

Like blackthorns idea but just these maps for minor settlements, each level matching the settlement level or maybe something like the small is the first garrison/fortification upgrade that adds walls, medium is the 3rd tier settlement and large is the second level of the garrison/fortification upgrade.

Hi, is there any way to combine this with another mod to make minor settlements playable with these cool maps?

Like if I modded the base game to make all minor settlements have walls at all levels starting from tier 1 on would they then become "fort" maps???

If that wouldn't work, would you consider making a mod that would turn all "WALLED" settlements into these fort maps so anyone could combine with another mod to make all settlements walled hence all settlement battles whether they are minor or major (Provincial) automatically pull from your modded maps?

i know it could be very hard, but it would be AWESOME if this mod could work with the one that adds giant maps for the most important cities (karak-a-karak, couronne ...) it might become a "perfect mod"

Hexoatl map is prime example of excellent strategic city, by having it on a higher elevation than attacker, it prevents you from cheesing the AI with artillery

Amazing mod works well, might be an issue with wood elves siege battles crashing only issue I had. I also had a few other mods enabled as well

@gingersroc: Do you also have the Mod Replacer Framework installed? You need three Mods to make it work. (Mod Replacer, Fort Maps and Fort Maps as Cities) Only Province Capitals are affected. No minor Settlements.

@gingersroc well your the only one with the problem so issue is yours.

You get walled cities the same way as vanilla, capitals and defence buildings.

Subscribed to the dependent mods.

Otherwise reinstall everything or give up.

Thanks for the honesty, I understand. You already have incredible work on your other mods, I'll be patiently waiting for other versions of this mod to be able to see these maps on old world :)

your next mod "Forts as placable Camps Mod" do you think it will be possible to give the attacker the option to build siege tools ? because from I saw you cant make camp as "Real" siege battles.

Awesome mod. Lovely ecologies. I really enjoyed this in my last campaign. However! Next campign I'm going back to using a mod to get rid of all settlement battles. Why? The AI is trash. They are fish in a barrel for any faction with ranged. Obviously not this mod author's fault but I hope someone will make a mod to have the AI charge out at ranged units. Or is that optimal? I don't know.

@gingersroc: The Title literally says Forts as Cities. Of course they are in the Campaign.
