New Big Update of Biddyn map, especially Art but also many tweaks to provinces connections, attributes for better gameplay-balance. Hope you'll enjoy!

Thanks guys!
@SirJjjon: Good idea, I'll fix it for next version (big update incoming in few days :p)

Pymous we love you for all of your maps and mods in all of our games!

It might be a good idea to make sailing max distance = 1 or change around the start locations. Sailing nations can cross between 20 and 90 and turn 1 attack someone's capital.

Is this map ready to go on clockwork? I've got a game I'm hosting with it.

Thank you for all the wonderful maps throughout the years!

Awesome !

That sounds great, and I agree it would be the better way to do it.

I could add tags/icons to show province changes, but that would dramatically increase the size of the map folders, probably 4 to 5 times larger, reaching over 200 MB per map! I'm not sure players would appreciate having multi-gigabyte map folders :p

The easiest solution would be for Illwinter to add a built-in option to toggle such icons for custom map terraforming similar to how the "Gateway" toward Caves and others planes icons work. These new icons could represent just terrain changes like Forest, Swamp, etc. That way, players wouldn't have to download much larger files, and everything would stay lightweight.

We should probably share this suggestion with Illwinter as feedback!

Did you do anything to handle terrain changes? For hand drawn maps like this it is of course a pain in the ass, but I have been thinking that if one where to make a set of tokens for each terrain type you could make a layer with it for each type and at least get some simple marker to show it if has changed even for these lovely maps. To me that seems like the lowest effort, scalable way to give it any graphics at all. Any thought?

Thank you guys!

@leshaar: I can't say precisely, I've painted it in several stages over the last few months. To be honest, it had been about 95% finished for quite some time... What put me off was the very laborious technical part (files, ingame map editor, editing order...) to make it functional, but fortunately amuys, dastactic and other modders had shared their troubles in the meantime through tutorials and videos.. :) So in the end, I didn’t have to waste too much time figuring things out, thanks to them!

So maybe yes, Cave layer for others maps too. It will depends of community's interest for such custom maps, and I'll also wait your feedbacks on gameplay / map readability to adapt if required. And yes, some Ko-fi support would definitely help too :p ( I’m now working 100% as freelance, so I have to be more careful on how I manage my time. But the good news is if I get enough support, it’ll free up time to focus more on making content for Dominions! :D

Amazing. This is my most played map in Dom 5 and Dom 6 singleplayer, I'm excited to see a cave layer
