it does not make sence when i have bunch of bookcases, i can get research but with more high-tech bookcases cannot get any bonus. this bothers me.
Technically, probably. Practically? Not sure.
@Apokus
It's already on our to-do list, but my programmer has been busy with life - I think. I don't really wish to bother him anymore than I already have, let alone for yet another compatibility task. I might start taking up lead programming on the mod myself soon, allowing for some quicker development again, now that my Better Trees and Better Mountains mods have finally released.
A minor extrinsic incentive is that filled bookcases speed up research, so your research speeds up future research.
When you have "Stored Research" installed, and do a research while a pawn ISNT ON A BENCH, the papers get spawned at the world center, or scattered randomly if the world center is a deteriorating tile (water). When a pawn is on the table they seem to spawn at their feet just fine.
I know zip diddly squat about coding, butt, maybe you could add a check to see if there's a research bench when spawning papers, even if a pawn isn't at the research bench?
Or at least, that is what is supposed to happen. I'm not entirely sure how the mod handles growing zones.
I'm not sure what you mean by "gaming advantage to holding the papers". The advantage is that you get to have your research, as long as you hold them.
Besides that, you can fill up bookcases with them, which speed up future research.
Would you consider changing the weight of each book? Being 0.5kg makes it really hard to travel with them
Also, I suscribed and started playing with your mod on a new colony two days ago, so it should be the version in which it was fixed.
Love the mod, thanks for your hard work!
