[B41/B42] Right-click Watch To Set Alarm

You know, I never realized it can be turned back on with one more click. That's much easier than opening it back up and checking the box. Solves my issue, thanks!

You are correct in that this mod intercepts all left-clicks on the clock window and simply toggles the alarm. The case you described is not one I considered when making this mod.

I won't be making any changes to this mod at this time simply because I'm not playing the game for the time being, the only exception being fixes for any mod-breaking changes caused by updates to the game itself.

In any case, wouldn't double clicking to turn it back on have the same effect?

This seems to change the behavior of left-clicking to turn off the alarm from the upper right corner. Normally, left clicking turns off the alarm but keeps in enabled (my preferred behavior). With this mod enabled, left clicking turns off the alarm and disables it (not preferred).

If you have a chance I'd love to be able to revert the behavior to the default (or add a setting to control it) so I don't have to keep re-enabling alarms every time I turn them off.

I'll try, thanks.

PSA: its pretty simple to change which equipment slots this mod looks at. Just open the mod file and change where it says "leftWrist" to whatever slot the conflicting mod uses for watches.
Azazellz 9 Jul @ 2:04am
This mod looks specifically for the leftWrist and rightWrist equipment slots to determine if you're wearing a watch.

Oh, so that's why it doesn't work for me.
Apparently a conflict with mods that allow you to wear armour and watch at the same time.
Vangerful 5 Jul @ 12:23am
the cause was that the watch somehow was unequiped and just chill in the inventory. must be equipped on hand to work.
Vangerful 4 Jul @ 9:33pm
mod worked for a while. then just stopped working. sad. wery useful
exoduss123 22 Jun @ 12:37am
Wont work with "Pack Mule" unfortunately since it adds different slot for watch so you can wear it with forearm armors
rtxA 13 Jun @ 10:04am
QoL mod, it should be added to the main game

For sure it's the clothing slots being modded, I have several layered that allows multiple bags & one of the first I added makes watches their own slots so that you can wear also wear armor. Thanks for confirming!

I could imagine other mods that mess with slots could interfere with this one, as this one specifically looks at the LeftWrist and RightWrist slots. If it can't detect a digital watch there this mod won't do anything.

I'm not sure about how it behaves in larger resolutions as I can't test it myself. If you're willing to troubleshoot it, one thing you could try is to go to the script and change o.background = false to true. That way you'll be able to see if the panel that detects the mouse-clicks is lined up with the clock as it should.
Loccatpowersdog 11 Jun @ 10:37pm
Love the idea, have though about it for so long! Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working for me, could be some other mod interfering (say something that changes clothing slots to allow watch+armor or similar?) or something to do with a wider resolution?

Does this also disable the ability for the alarm to be toggled on/off just by clicking on the watch UI? Because that is something I can't stand in PZ, where an alarm gets unintentionally toggled by me clicking around or something, and then it goes off when I least expect it.

Even if it doesn't, this is a very cool mod, thanks!
Rahvin 11 Jun @ 12:12pm
Thank you. Been wanting this ability since I started........
