Do you know how the complete edition differs in comparison to gold? Because you wrote that it is under gold but above silver, though it isn't in the comparison picture here as it's only on nexus, and there's no listing over there about it ether. Really like the way all the changes are listed in one picture :)
Im just curries what changes, and if i should go with it instead :)
M4ttlock, No, currently none of my mods do and i try to keep it that way to not waste peoples time with constant new games :D
I wonder if this is a bug, or some change that was made because of the gold edition? I played for like 2h and had 5-6 dog armys and 3-4 rat spawns come at me. At one point there was a PseudoDog that spawned in front of me, while i was running from the dogs, trying to reload next to a sidequest😂
While it can be a lot of fun, i think there are just to many dogs and rats, and not enough Bandits or so. At least that way i could get some ammo back, that i lost because of all the dogs ;)
Idk how you or others fell about this, seems im the only one that ways too keen on it. Maybe i shoudl look into the Complete Edition, which sadly isnt in the workshop it seems. Because i dont was to lose the PseudoDog that isnt in the silver version.
Intimiderp, yes ofcourse, both edit same files.
Mimouz, hello fellow redditor and thank you for trying it out and enjoying it!
How is an AAA studio not able to do this ? Your 11kb mod is really nice, the zone feels ALIVE for real
Thank you !
KaptaynAmeryka, No, each living zone is its own mod, the order from most frequent spawn/heaviest adjustments goes in descending order:
- Gold
- Complete
- Silver
- Modular
- Bronze
sort of, a-life spawn speed mainly refers to the interval between your in render NPC spawns, think about those mutants you see moving past you in the distance when exploring open world. bronze makes them appear 35% faster up to 60% faster compared to vanilla on gold ( so more then twice as many appear in render compared to vanilla)
you don'y have to unsub. i think it overwrites and if it doesn't well the a-life enhancements mod is same files as in the gold so no problems there either :D
May I ask though, what exactly is "A-Life spawn speed"? Is it like, the rate that new Stalkers are spawned when the population is down or something? Also I'm assuming I have to unsub from your AI-Life enhancements mod to get this, right?
The gold max npc limit is mostly in hubs and even then it does not change the performance all that much, it's like a little breathing room that allows the game to have more dynamic changing number of max npc in your render :)
Yes the nexusmod for Roaming Professions-Expanded Trade Inventory is already included in this mod to enhance the experience.
Fantasma, No i do not change loadouts of spawned npc's by script or a-life :)
I also had where they spawned somewhere in the garbage area and agro'd all the npcs in the settlement meaning I couldn't interact with ricter or others. Stores were fine though. I eventually found the burer stuck on a metal pile, killed him and all the npcs went back to normal.
This mod does not impact performance that much to validate specific specs for it. I've had testers run it on 1000 series graphics card with minimal issues, i just put a small warning just in case because well it does do things more and faster than the version under it (complete, silver).
Drunkensteinn, Unfortunately not :( i have plans to push specific distance asap when it opens up in sdk, this one will have about 350 meters for view. (same as pre 1.1 of my nexusmods)
My a-life mods go in following descending order from most heaviest and adjusted to least:
- Living Zone: Gold
- Living Zone: Complete
- Living Zone: Silver
- Living Zone: Modular
- Living Zone: Bronze
The difference between complete and gold here is that:
1. gold is steam only and is therefore steam workshop compatible
2. it is a slightly faster (spawn times) version than the main file of complete
3. it has some different chances and "logic" compared to complete so that i dont do too much to the natural formula of the complete mod that people are used to for past few months. (hence the smaller complete update on nexusmods)
4. its a slightly different version to fit in the list of available variations so now you have more options
