ad first comment - how would you imagine that would work? I'm not sure I understand, elaborate plz
ad second - it's right over here C:\Users\username\Zomboid\Lua\WTJ_CategoryAssignments.ini though what do you mean by changing in advance?
i wanna change it in advance
could you add ability to assign multiply various item which i selected to one category?
Yes it does
@Meyar
I tried to do that but it doesn't seem to be possible. Technically you can easily create your own new categories but it's not possible to create a standalone, product mod for people to use because what you need to do is to mess around with editing game files to create a new category. And there's no possibility to do it from the game itself like from a pop-up menu in-game. Hit me up and I can tell you how to do that if you want :)
Basically, I'm asking if you can point me to an existing how-to guide to create my own mod that creates new categories that can be assigned.
Ummm... I'm not sure if I got that right but were you asking me to upload a version of the mod where you can set up your own category to an item? If so, have you looked at the link I posted 2 answers below? Otherwise please explain again :)
oh and I know the link to the file there is already inactive, but let me know if that's what you meant and I'll just upload it inside the mod here.
Added *Most Recently Used* categories to float up to top 6 selections slots so as not to scroll that much
As always, happy to have delivered! It's frankly both as unexpected as much it is heartwarming that someone actually have thought of it as useful, and here we are, thanks for your kind words, they're rewarding :)
