Hey, everyone! I have an update just about finished which should be ready to post either Monday or Tuesday. As with any update, there’s a chance it will interfere with existing saves (I'll post a manual download of the existing version in case you need it).

Hi, at the moment the mod doesn't change any of the base religion mechanics. However, I am also disappointed with how everything works at the moment and am thinking of ways they might be adjusted for a potential companion mod in the future. I'm also hoping Friaxis might do something more substantial with religion in a future patch or DLC.

v 3.1:

- Fixed a conflict in the Config File.
- All Religions can now be individually loaded as a Custom Icon instead of a Named Religion by setting their Value to ‘2’ in the Religion List in the Config File. (This option was previously available in groups but can now be done individually in any mode).
- Renamed several of the Religions. (This was done so that there’s a more consistent approach to how I named the religions across the mod).

I don’t know how the update will play with previous saves; it'd probably depend on what era you were in and what settings you had in the config file. There’s a temporary link to download the previous version (3.0) at the bottom of the description if Steam automatically updated and you need it to continue your previous save.

You’ll also have to reset your values in the Config File if you use it.

Hi Tomatekh. It works like a charm now. Wow. Just, after I found a religion, it got wiped out soon by a competitor religion very fast. That was sad. I got the religion before I could make priests to spread it.

Hey everyone, just a heads up, I’m likely going to post a small update in a day or two. This is mainly to correct a small conflict in the configuration file that was pointed out to me. I won’t be adding any new religions in the update, but will probably use the opportunity to add more functionality to the configuration file and rename a few of the religions. As with any update, there’s a chance it will interfere with existing saves. I'll try to keep a manual download of the existing version active.

Is founding a religion not triggering at all after constructing a temple in the Exploration Era or is the Choose Religion screen locking up/not letting you select a religion icon?

I'm not sure what you're asking. It adds icons for historical, indigenous, and new religions. When you (or the AI) found a religion you can choose from the new icons. It just adds variety to the selection and includes appropriate historical options especially for ancient and indigenous civs and leaders.

Hey, everyone!

Glad to hear there are some long time fans of my mods. I was able to release the full version right away thanks to being able to build off the Civ VI version. I tried to incorporate any leftover religions requests from VI and make the configuration file as flexible as possible this time around so you can fully customize the religion list (I know some people like a lot while others prefer a smaller set) as well as using the religions as custom icons. I'm looking into alternate ways to more conveniently adjust the configuration settings in the future.

The classic returns! As indispensible as it was in Civ 5 and 6. I particularly like how customisable it is as to which religions you want to appear in game. Thanks Tomatekh!

Now all we need to add is the 15 trillion different Christian denominations
