Activating the nexus keeps weird events from happening, like it stops other dimensional beings from molesting Elysium basically.

Hi there,
Looking to try this mod and your dark wizard mod but I only play coop with some friends and it isn't multiplayer compatible because of the name of the main .c5m file having spaces. I can change it for myself and my friends on my side by renaming the file Master_Of_Monsters.c5m but I thought you might want to know in-case you want to update the mod itself to be mp compatible.

Hello. First off, I am liking the mod. Secondly, I think that the promotions cost might be a bit too expensive. I haven't purchased any of them yet as the summoner, but it is going to take a while to get those costs. It may be worth it in the end though.

To use an example: The warlock's summon the kings and queens of the elements cost 200 gems, and that is to summon elemental god-like beings.

I have found mainly that the Wraith line is over powered from what I intended mainly the first two forms making the Black Wraith unneeded. I have thus far nerfed the wraiths twice or rather did two updates where I nerfed the wraith in multiple ways each. Additionally I had to fix the Dark Drake accidentally killing itself with its own breathe weapon making the Death Dragon line much weaker than intended.

Anyway my point is I'm still actively working on the balance of this mod as I realize that what I want for certain monsters conceptually is not working out mechanically. If anyone notices anything or has any suggestions or general comments please do not hesitate to let me know. I have done my best to immediately fix any problems people have pointed out and I really appreciate you guys helping me beat the mod into the correct shape. Much love to everyone who has given my mod a try <3 thank you very much.

So my intended power tiers are based on the cost of how much it costs to upgrade a monster to their final form. If a Monster has a middle form the cost to upgrade them to that middle form is half of what the cost of their final form is. The Summoner in particular is a little screwy as she gets to summon the entire roster (Except for the other demi gods dragons) so her numbers a little messed up. But the tiers of power for final for monsters are

Tier 300 gems - Great Angel, Great Demon, Death Dragon, Air Dragon

Tier 250 gems - Black Wraith, Fire Dragon, Ice Dragon, Gold Dragon, Silver Dragon, Kraken, Iron Golem

Tier 200 gems - Colosus, Firbolg, Big Serpent, Hydra, Caesar, Siren

Tier 150 gems - Crasher, Crusader, Phoenix, Sphinx, Hippogriff, Sky Gorgon

Tier 100 gems - Tricorn, Monstrous Pegasus.

@Avenged I actually put up an update already to tone them down and increase their cost. But also i'm about to do an update in like thirty minutes to tone them down again from what I toned them down to already. They are in fact way to powerful I fully agree.

Wraiths are insanely powerful. A single wraith can take on an entire army by virtue of just needing some corpses to gain HP then draining life to win. I haven't extensively tested every roster, but wraiths definitely need to be toned down, they're insanely overturned for the low, low price of 2 emeralds.

don't know if this is intentional or not but i have had several Dark drakes kill themselves with decay maybe make it so the are immune or that it only hits enemies?

I suggest that you give everyone except the summoner an ritual that lets them turn 5 of the unwanted gems into 5 of that masters gems (so air guy turns fire,water, and earth gems to air gems fire guy turns air water earth gems to fire and so on) it should probably be unlocked from the start in addition to their random rituals so you don't have someone unable to summon turn 1

Okay new patch going up. Gave everyone without a melee attack a weak melee attack and I both nerfed mermaids and made it more expensive to turn them into Sirens, As I didn't nerf Sirens.

Ok, MM Wraiths now have range 4.
They are still front rank, so they still run into melee where they are unable to attack....

Front Rank units will always go into melee as soon as possible, so any normal ranged attacks don't work well on them.
I would either suggest making them mid rank, or making their attack range 1 melee.

Also generally speaking, you want to give every unit a melee attack, no matter how weak, or allow them to fire in melee.

Because currently if two MM Wraiths fight each other, they will just rush to close, and then stare at each other until starvation rounds start.

cool idea! But isnt the mermaid a bit too op? The unit already charmed 2 of my armies, because most units have mr 1.:lunar2020ratinablanket:

Understood. You might want to clarify that in the mod description on this page, starting with "So the concept of Master of monster the game". That led me to assume that accumulating XP might be important, and I spent a lot of time beating up animals in the hopes of leveling up. Thanks!

Hi friend I think there was a misunderstanding. The units in COE5 to not upgrade into their next level from experience alone. You have to use a ritual to upgrade them into their next form. The power boost they get is to substantial for them to simply upgrade into the next form on their own as having an entire army of some of the tier 3 or even tier 2 units would entirely break the game. Also thank you for pointing that out Draken. The Wraith has Life Drain and not Drain Life. One is a range 1 attack and the other is a range 7 attack.

Yeah, I've given it 50 turns, and though the rainbow mage is probably more bearable, I cannot recommend playing any of the mono-element mages. Being so dependent on an incredibly scarce resource without any alchemy rituals to change the gems like Cloud Lord gets means every loss is *incredibly* painful. I never saw a single promotion. I was beginning to see the possibility of a strategy using human mercs and the seduce unit, but I could clearly see the mod was fighting me every step of the way.

I'm also getting a LOT of slow, lingering deaths from disease, afflictions that render the unit much less useful. I have been playing 30 turns, have lost many units to crippling and attrition, not seen one promotion from XP. Especially frustrating on the trolls (playing diamond mage). In general, the fact that you have little use for gold and 75% of mines are useless to you makes this a really frustrating class to play

Seems like Angels REALLY like killing themselves with their own chain lightning. And whoever else is in their squad, of course, but lacking any lightning resist when you are using chain attacks is *extremely* risky.

MM Wraith:
- Has a length 1 ranged attack. Which is melee range. But ranged attacks are disabled at melee distance. So it will never attack.
